Mastering Impromptu Prep in World Schools Debate w/ Kiera Dixon

Impromptu rounds in World Schools Debate can pose a substantial challenge: You need to prep a solid case in a short amount of time, and your access to research and evidence is limited at best.
This event will help you master preparing for these impromptu rounds. Kiera will explain how best to use your prep time, how to share responsibilities among your teammates, and what your case should look like by the end of prep time.
Kiera was a member of the 2022-2023 Team USA Debate team, in the year that America won the International WSD Championship for the first time in decades! She has advanced to elite rounds in the Hong Kong World Schools Debating Championships and Greenhill Tournament and championed the Harvard-Westlake Tournament, while relishing the opportunity to travel internationally to Mexico and Singapore. Kiera advanced to finals for the past two years and won 3rd place in congressional debate at the 2023 NSDA national championship, finishing as the top ranked female competitor in both chambers of debate. Kiera has served on the coaching staff of camps like the Global Debate Symposium and National Congress Institute.
