If they bring a season expansion pack, i'll buy it 50 times. Like, having snow at one time of the year and sun at another time of the year. I really miss being challenged by nature in euro truck. Imagine if you had to remember to buy winter tires and chains and stuff. If they brought an expansion like that, they would make the world so much more alive. It's a big idea, but i want it so much :D
My company's name is "FUCKED UP Deliveries", so that my customers can safely lower their expectations. Then, I get more satisfaction when I'm doing an excellent job...Plus, it's funny every time I read the name.
One thing I love about your videos, you address the audience like we're sat next to you. It's quite amazing how you do this... Well done man, another great video!
The funny thing is: In Germany trucks are ownly allowed to drive 65km/h maximum on country roads and that's why they're driving so slow. Yeha, in reality most truckers don't care about it, but technically they have to be really slow...
It's configurable. Skip back to the bit where I show the TrackIR software. You can the inside of a sphere with degree markings on it. I have it set so that a 45 degree turn of my head is a 180 turn in the game. You need to make it so that you can still look at the screen with your eyes but do a 180 in the game.
That's the thing though, people play Volvos because of engine power. People play Scanias because of the love of the brand and because it's a beautiful truck.
I did it at the end of a stream once. Since there is no destruction shown it's not that much fun. You just end up damaging your truck until it won't move, call for a recovery and pay a massive massive repair bill.
A little tip for when you feel underpowered as you were saying about getting stuck on the ramp coming off the ferry. Instead of going back and taking a run up. When the truck stops, engage the hand brake, accelerate for no more than a second to build the revs and then release the hand brake and the truck will begin crawling up the hill till it reaches the top.
+Matt James (Aviation) game is sadly ageing :( But looking forward to American Truck Simulator (ATS) supposed to come out Feb 2016 I think? That might bring some fresh life back into this game! :D
Not at all. That would be crazy. By default when you turn your head about 60 degrees it causes the game-view to turn 180 degrees, which is a gearing factor of about 3 to 1. You can configure the gearing to whatever you like.
How come your dashboard has an icon saying you have your lights on? When I put my lights on it doesnt show on the dashboard! Oh and I completely agree with you, I just got this game but it feels so dead. Almost no people, no bikers, I havent seen one police car etc.
Lettuce Cat That's not true. The indication of your lights being on varies from truck model to truck model. I know for sure that mine has three indications. One for "lights on" (dashboard light gets brighter), one for "medium scale" (green symbol) and one other for "big scale" (a blue symbol next to the green one). So, yeah...
You can download it for free. Just skip any ads and untick any options about using an internet download booster or signing up to premium download service. All mods are free, just the file serving sites try to pry money out of you.
jasperphilippi gaming You can adjust it so that, if you turn for 1° with your head the ingame cam turns like 4° for example. If you're having money enough you can always add some extra screens on the left and right offcourse :)
The problem with IR beadsets is that to look left, you look left, taking your head away from the screen, thus making gameplay harder. It's a cool concept, but highly impractical.
Well, that´s not correct, as TrackIR moves your view in game way further than you actually turn your head. I use it in ETS2, in Flight Sim X and a lot of other similiar programs and my setting is so that I only move my head very slightly to get a full 180° on screen, so I actually have the screen perfectly in view by just turning my eyes slightly.
Shato Nyruami Well, that's TrackIR, which has a customizable sensitivity. Others don't have that customness. This concept works best in the Oculus Rift in my opinion, purely becuase you move the screen with you.
The Two Awkward Gamers Actually Oculus Rift makes me become some sort of seasick after a some time. I tried it several times to get used to it, but it doesn´t really get much better. The brain just gets confused by seeing motion without moving, that´s better in TrackIR, as it´s always the monitor you are looking at, there is no virtual motion, it´s not much more than using your head as an additional input device. But Zuckerberg wants to shift his attention over to OR this year, so maybe we will see some development leaps, I´m sure I´m not the only one with this problem.
Shato Nyruami I'm pretty sure the sickness is fixed in the DK2, but i am sorta looking forward to what Zuckerburg wants to do with the OR, because it obviously won't be for FB. I mean, 3D Farmville, no thanks. It's almost certainly a new thing.
The Two Awkward Gamers It's not fixed on the DK2, but it is greatly reduced. They are promising it will be fixed on the consumer version. Guess we'll see.
The hardest lesson to learn as a big rig driver is....... patience. No matter the crazyness that goes on around you out on the road, just go with the flow because you'll get there eventually, and more importantly in one piece.
Thank You! It's nice to know that I'm not alone. It seems like every big youtuber who plays ETS2 absolutely loves Scania, but I've started with Volvo and have tried Scania several times throughout playing the game TRYING to figure out WHY so many people like it better. I always go back to my Volvo because it is superior to Scania in power, hands down. The Scania's have slightly better handling than the Volvo's, but I prefer the Volvo's major power increase over Scania's slightly better handling.
Hiya Squirrel - my wife now thinks I have surpassed myself in terms of dull games, but I picked this up myself after seeing the long load video. What a fabulous game - I have been wanting a game where I could just vege out driving around and getting some brain space for a couple of hours. This is it. As far as journeys go, I haven't got far enough into the game to see if it's possible, but what about an Alps crossing? Big heavy load, tight roads, bit of a challenge.
I KNOW. I put HIGH BEAMS ON because then YOU CAN SEE STUFF in the video. And really, I DON'T CARE about the AI cars are they are all JUST PROGRAMMED to FLASH YOU.
Instead of listening to weird German techno radio that I don't understand at all, I end up watching\listening to you while I cruise around ETS2. Enjoyable to say the least.
34:19 I played this and got stuck in a Iveco going out of the quarry. The truck wouldn't go up the hill. And it was a quick mission not in my own truck. I always used Scandia's, Man's and Volvos.
The sensitivity of the tracking only requires you to turn your head slightly to spin the camera 180 degrees. It does mean that you need to be very careful with your head movement, since even small motions are exaggerated.
There is an Exclusive V8 that you can buy with for example the Streamline that looks awesome ;) You can get a 730hp engine I would like to see you try the Dutch Map when it's finished. It'll take a while before it's finished, but you can try anyway =P
War Thunder is great with the Trackir, and I can't play it without it now. One thing you may come across is, the Trackir may randomly flip out on you. I found that if a window is letting sunshine in, it interferes with the IR reciever. I thought my Trackir was faulty until i shut the curtains.
I currently have 9 trucks(including myself), spread over 3 garages(Zurich, Berlin and Brussels). All my trucks for my drivers are Volvo's(540 bhp for less than 100.000 euros is a bargain). Mine is a 730 BHP globetrotter XL(6x2-4 axle setup). I'm quite happy with my progress. I'm thinking about installing mods, but I think I'm gonna watch your video on that before I install anything.
11:57 Amen. I get where they are coming from but, yea I would keep calm and carry on as well. That was epic. To bad there isn't a mechanic that makes you have to wait for law enforcement and mess. I'd take having to pull over and a black screen time jump till it arrives to make do. Would make having accidents far more costly not only in money but in time.
Well driving different types of over-size or wide load. It give you a great challenge as well you have to plan and trip your route like the truckers do in real life. That is a great trailer mods they put in to the game.
I like the renaults because their dashboards are very simple and informative with the gear, speed, and if you have cruise control on. Plus the gauges are good size.
I've got a Volvo FH 750, I've drove for forty Thousand miles now. I was wanting to wear the tires out , not fixing them. See that wouldn't work cause they charge you for the damage. They should let you wear the tires out to at least 80 percent to see if it handled any different.
You said that Georgia was there longer than Tina, but if you remember, Tina was there with Jeff the Tramp when you first started, then you fired Jeff and hired Georgia.
Picked up this game after watching your vids ( loved the old 18 wheels games) and dscovered that it has a streaming radio playlist in the radio section. So I have been driving around Europe (in a Volvo, sorry) listing to Real Radio Yorkshire. I'm from Oklahoma, USA. What a great game.. never thought I'd enjoy it being set in Europe, but I do. Now I can't wait for the American one. Thanks for the videos!
Yes the executive interior in some trucks have built in sat nav (perfectly useable) and few new radios and stuff which don't work. In your Scania sat nav will be right of hand brake lever in the blank spot. In Volvo in will be panel sliding out of dash board (it is fixed so if you turn of engine it will stay in upward position)
i'm old school, i like havin fun without mods, show me some compilation pile-ups, crashes, out of control skids, and possibly some silly skin mods (don't know if there is any, but i highly expect it) c'mon squirrel, show me your bad gamer side. even 1 minute would satisfy me! i remember driver! what a game!
I hope the Modder who does the Large Load Mod fixes that to where if you have a Wide load maybe able to bypass toll roads or with longer ones the toll last a bit longer so you can pass through. Also TrackIR is really cool. Hear about it a lot from ShackTac or rather Dslyecxi's channel. Which is rather awesome to see how Arma2 head movement is so fluid.
I would start getting comments from people saying "boring, nothing happened", so I prefer to upload ones I deem interesting. Not every journey can be interesting in some way...
I shall probably do that once I reach a level where everything is unlocked. Until then I've been trying out various truck mods (check my more recent videos).
Which is really awesome. I looked at the Track IR website and saw the huge list of supported games. It is going to be the next thing I get once I get all the parts to build my new pc.
yea, I believe it puts it on the dash next to the hand brake :) also when you take jobs, you can double click the job instead of clicking the job and then the take job button :)
I'm always enjoying your ETS2 videos, where you just talk about varient things. You could make a series like "Trucker-Time w/ Squirrel" And I would like to see a video about your settings :)
Hey Squirrel, I heart you are facing the problem of not making it through the toll stations. Well, there's a solution now. This mod replaces the barriers so you can drive through them. ets.modhoster(dot)de/mods/keine-schranken-an-den-mautstellen
Lmao man Squirrel i soo love your color commentary while your driving. Im not usually one on someone talking while the simulation is going, but your the exception cuse you nor only make it entertaining, but you make it funny AF and informatively personal. I Specially like the excitement you portray with the long and big loads you haul. And the hilarious comments you say about those poor little tractor-trailer trucks that can't beat your sise or can get by you. Your like you gotta wait. Lol. Or like will you hurry up i have a schedule to keep. Lmfao 😂🤣
I played this game and for me the MAN TGX 680 (with 4x2 setup) is the best especialy with 120km/h speed limit. I've done with this truck over 95000 km and it was great. Squirrel I recoment it to you for trying out with manual transmision because in auto, trasmision (stock 12 speed) is going crazy (it don't know what gear to put). And by the way you make awesome videos. Sorry for my english but it isn't my first language ;)
Surely when your u look to your left to see your far side wing mirror (I use a right hand drive truck in ETS2) or you turn your head 180 degrees to see behind you, you then can’t see the monitor because you’re too busy looking in the wrong direction to angle Track IR correctly? How does that work?
You were curious about the Oversize load you were carrying. Based on the name (which was in french), along with what it looks like, it seems to be a reactor. Definitely not nuclear, more like a chemical reactor. Its for processing chemicals into reusable products.
The reason you were getting flashed was because you had high beams on..... From Aberdeen to Paris, Very very long, with high and wide loads and possibly stream it for a change! and you can challenge yourself in long distances and test that theory with the loads clipings
I used to use a good laptop to play this game and played it all the time, but that was actually one of my family members' so now I use an older desktop that can only run ETS2 at like 5 fps. Getting a new one soon though, that's for sure =P WIDE LOAD COMING THROUGH! Yo mama so wide she's a wide load!
I know this is an old run of episodes, yet I want to say I really love the content so far. planning to watch the entire playlist. might need to check the twitch channel out :D
To give you a little update, I just recently unlocked the most powerful Scania engine upgrade, 730hp. That's only 20hp less than my Volvo. So, I decided to give my Scania one last try with the new engine. To be honest, I think I may be converting to a Scania guy. The small hp loss is made up for by not having to slow down as much on curves due to Scania's better handling. I've done 6 runs with my Scania now, and I think I may just keep on driving it. :)
First Enigne Second Gearbox Trhid suspensions, Forth hydralics/breaks and Fifth Steering after that is extra axels/wheels Sixsth beacons and and then is fuel tank, Eight = spot/extra lights and better tires Nignth are disain of cab. Tenth is salon.
Am I addicted to Squirrel's videos? I saw a dream where I was just watching these ETS2 videos :D
+Games Cooky tons of snow/winter mods if you don't mind modded ets2 :) :) :)
That doesn't change the game physics though, only the looks
ohAproxy Indeed. Sometimes i wish snow was actually implemented in the game. Maybe even a feature that allows you to put on chains.
Yeah that would be so much fun, and make it more realistic as well
Really hoped they would do that for Scandinavian dlc, but no.
10:42
speaking of clipping, you miraculously avoided a penalty/notice when the car on your right drove into your trailer!
My company's name is "FUCKED UP Deliveries", so that my customers can safely lower their expectations. Then, I get more satisfaction when I'm doing an excellent job...Plus, it's funny every time I read the name.

Mines Europe Express, a parady of planet express from furureama!

Scanias are ok, man I'm gonna get hate for this, but I prefer the Volvo.
Thats normal I like scanias and volvos they are both very useful, well, all trucks are useful as long as it isn't a Renault
Atahan Atasoy
Haha...
Atahan Atasoy thats right i am a truck driver and i like eny truck but won goob i had to use a renault abd it broke down 2 miles away from depoirt
I like Volvo’s and scanias my dad drives a volvo
Your not welcome here
One thing I love about your videos, you address the audience like we're sat next to you. It's quite amazing how you do this... Well done man, another great video!
Squirrel, that's not a "Heating thing", that, my good sir, was a nuclear reactor core...
Well, actually, it is, but it's not ANY heating thing :)
Panzer_Viking well Im sure that the job of a nuclear reactor is to super heat water? so you could call it a heater thing
Indeed it is, Unless were talking a research reactor, in which case the water flows and attempts to keep cooler temps to stop melt downs
Well at least he's not going through a war zone so who cares
The funny thing is: In Germany trucks are ownly allowed to drive 65km/h maximum on country roads and that's why they're driving so slow. Yeha, in reality most truckers don't care about it, but technically they have to be really slow...
Play ETS2 with track IR while DRUNK
I love watching all these videos all over again
Praha is a native name for Prague
I know cause I went there with a band tour recently
i am from prague
It's configurable. Skip back to the bit where I show the TrackIR software. You can the inside of a sphere with degree markings on it. Has anyone ever told u u sound like carl pilkington 😂
That's the thing though, people play Volvos because of engine power. People play Scanias because of the love of the brand and because it's a beautiful truck.
What is that thing on the top left of your videos?
+TechGuru88 top right?
+David Kořínek what is?
That thing :D
+JawsGaming Recording signalization (DXstory I think)
+TechGuru88 you mean top right? if so that is his DXtory (what he is using to record)
I did it at the end of a stream once. Since there is no destruction shown it's not that much fun. You just end up damaging your truck until it won't move, call for a recovery and pay a massive massive repair bill.
Squirrel deserves more subs :)
Why doesn't squirrel upload these kind of videos anymore?
+Matt James (Aviation) game is sadly ageing :( But looking forward to American Truck Simulator (ATS) supposed to come out Feb 2016 I think? That might bring some fresh life back into this game! :D
+Matt James (Aviation) he does upload videos of euro truck and many more videos of different games.
+Sean Berkinstoks CAN'T WAIT
+nerdy gamer no need to wait anymore
Not at all. That would be crazy. By default when you turn your head about 60 degrees it causes the game-view to turn 180 degrees, which is a gearing factor of about 3 to 1. You can configure the gearing to whatever you like.
Which version are you playing?
It's one of those games you can just chill with. Great for playing when you want to get away from it all =)
How come your dashboard has an icon saying you have your lights on? When I put my lights on it doesnt show on the dashboard!
Oh and I completely agree with you, I just got this game but it feels so dead. Almost no people, no bikers, I havent seen one police car etc.
Lettuce Cat That's not true. The indication of your lights being on varies from truck model to truck model. I know for sure that mine has three indications. "That was a bit of coke"
well you did it Paul. Here i am watching 40 min of you driving a truck and yet i'm glued to my screen.
isnt it that when u look left u dont look at your screen or am i just stupid?
jasperphilippi gaming pls help me i reply to myself to get higher
jasperphilippi gaming pls help me
jasperphilippi gaming You can adjust it so that, if you turn for 1° with your head the ingame cam turns like 4° for example.
If you're having money enough you can always add some extra screens on the left and right offcourse :)
jasperphilippi gaming You turn your head but you keep looking at the screen there is a version that usa a simple webcam, i've tried it, it's cool
Just search for "How to install Facetrack IR" and that shows it explicetly anyway.
A built in sat nav? What, as in, on the dashboard?
The problem with IR beadsets is that to look left, you look left, taking your head away from the screen, thus making gameplay harder. It's a cool concept, but highly impractical.

These are really relaxing man. You have great voice and this is a really chill game. Keep up the good work brother!

Just to give you an idea of how it could have gone horribly wrong, Squirrel: What you carried there was a nuclear reactor chamber.
I keep meaning to try manual. How many button mappings do I need?
Nice. It seems to take a little time to get used to!
Is that the longest possible journey in ETS2? I would love to know what is. I could then drive it.
Mod recommendation: the Scania 6000 HP 37500 Nm engine mod. It is SICK. It would also be practical when towing those really heavy loads…
34:19 I played this and got stuck in a Iveco going out of the quarry. The truck wouldn't go up the hill. And it was a quick mission not in my own truck. I always used Scandia's, Man's and Volvos.
LOL the Tragedy part was amazing timing i was just starting to sing it when you said "i know what you're thinking".
Yep! Ultra all the way
When you think Truck Sim, you don't expect it to be so entertaining. I had never thought I would love a series so much o.o

I agree with Max. It would actually really help, along with putting on some daytime driving lights.
The game is enjoyable and you are a proffesional Driver keep it up MAN.

quick question why don't you use the most realistic brake and trailer stability settings?

I'm using it in this vid. In fact I use it in every single ETS vid.
Lmfao 😂🤣
Is there a 32 bit download multiplayer or is scs going to make an on
Online version of game?
Buy a 64 bit computer. Developers shouldn't have to waste their time modifying their code for an outdated bit size.
This mod needs to add a pilot car in front of you and a tail-end Charlie, so you can take up both lanes with impunity.
At 10:05, car drove through one of the straps on the left side of your trailer!!
Surely when your u look to your left to see your far side wing mirror (I use a right hand drive truck in ETS2) or you turn your head 180 degrees to see behind you, you then can’t see the monitor because you’re too busy looking in the wrong direction to angle Track IR correctly? How does that work?
22:06 - they flash you because your full beam is on and its blinding them...
You were curious about the Oversize load you were carrying. Based on the name (which was in french), along with what it looks like, it seems to be a reactor. Definitely not nuclear, more like a chemical reactor. Its for processing chemicals into reusable products.
After I got Track IR I can't even think playing any simulator without it.
The reason you were getting flashed was because you had high beams on.....
From Aberdeen to Paris, Very very long, with high and wide loads and possibly stream it for a change! and you can challenge yourself in long distances and test that theory with the loads clipings
You got it
Awesome video man.....you should make more of these videos I think everyone would like them
I used to use a good laptop to play this game and played it all the time, but that was actually one of my family members' so now I use an older desktop that can only run ETS2 at like 5 fps. Getting a new one soon though, that's for sure =P
WIDE LOAD COMING THROUGH!
Yo mama so wide she's a wide load!
What do you use to steer?
Yes well try to imagine my desk - keyboard, mouse, joystick and a huge table-stand professional microphone. It's not easy sitting centre on...
Thank you :)
I know this is an old run of episodes, yet I want to say I really love the content so far. planning to watch the entire playlist. might need to check the twitch channel out :D
DaSquirrelsNuts - I can't stop watching your videos! They're amazing!
the oversize mod is in Brazilian Portuguese !! Brazil FTW!
nice video bro !
You should get a wheel, if you really want a good experience. Wheel+TrackerIR= Loads of fun.
Try using a snow mod its challenging also fun and while using that mod go across the whole map!
