I'm surprised they just don't make some expansions and drop the Euro part... (Or just leave it as a particular volume. But really it seems like it could become "Global truck simulator".) I'm sure some people would like driving North America (not just U.S., but Canada and Mexico) with pretty much the same interstate highway and road rules. Also doing some road trains across the Australian Outback sounds quite interesting, and Japan has some rather interesting roads and trucks which may be fun to drive. And if you're really for a thrill with some challenging mountain roads, driving second or third-hand trucks through the South American Andes or perhaps driving some of the ages old Silk Road routes through the Himilayas.
The best game ever: American Truck Simulator or Euro Truck Simulator Build a world truck simulator from one of the two or both of them Include all trucks in ETS2, all trucks in ATS, and all trucks from other countries in the game Sure the game may take 500GB of your 499GB hard drive but it'll be worth it :D
I know and there are lots of you who could easily watch and hour-long episode. But approx 30 mins is my target as that's what my research has shown works best for most people. You're lucky I don't listen to Machinima and TH-cam recommendations - they say all videos should be 5-10 mins tops.
My father drives a freightliner columbia, that is an American truck, and yes the Corning is that slow, also can you try the engine break/ jake break. That is a huge part of American trucks. Love all the vids keep up the good work
The steering is partially bad because of the distance between the front wheels and the rear wheels. I personally prefer the flat noses for metro jobs and long noses for long straight country runs.
American truck driver here to answer your question about turning. its really cool to see these trucks simmed on overseas roads but i the reason why we can turn in the States is easier than the road you are driving on is the simple reason is that everything in America is well, bigger lol. if youve seen an American on/off ramp the lane is huge. even on mountain roads there is plenty of room. however a cabover truck will out turn a forward axle truck, thats why Europe loves them so much.
Tonight on Fifth gear! DaSquirrel get strapped to a jumbo! DaSquirrel get stuck on slope! DaSquirrel get teleported! (no offence mate, just emulating Top Gear's Jeremy Clarkson :) )
Paul the new patch, 1.4, works well with the new TSM 3.2 map as well with the realistic v7 mod. TSM 3.2 covers more countries including Spain, Africa, Greece & more. I haven't tries this model of thr Peterbilt but in the game I'm driving at the moment the Peterbilt 387 which is another great American truck. Great videos can't wait for the next.
Those four foot hoods make it more of a change when it comes to turning and seeing in front of you. Kinda funny your climbing so slow. Pete's and Ken's would fly past me in the mountains all the time. I did drive a Freightliner and really enjoyed Driving the International Pro Star but recently came home for a local driving job.
great vid as usual squirrel. Thanks for doing something for your all American viewers. Can't wait to visit the U.K. Gotta see where my ancestors are from. keep up the good work!
As a driver myself, you learn to turn the wheel really fast when you need to make turns. I myself don't have the wheel tilted back so far, I tend to drive more up-right, so the wheel is laid out a bit more level, meaning I can really "put my bvack" into the turns. :)
I have some PC issues which I need to be rid of now. I can't wait. Besides, there is always something new and better coming out - it's impossible to stay current.
Squirrel, I would recommend your American Truck & wouldn't. The reason is, The front is really long & when driving in 1st person it gets confusing, the reason you should, its style and its nature, Just a beauty
Again AWESOME vid mate! Good to hear you're switching to a steering wheel. It will be a nice experience! I got myself a Logitech Driving Force GT and it doesn't have a clutch or a H shifter it still is a nice wheel and way cheaper. Though i nearly also had the G27. Looking forward to videos using that!
Thanks to you Squirrel, I have started using my X52 Pro Joystick to drive in this game. It's much better than the blocky control i get from my 360 controller. Thanks a lot, at first I thought it would be weird on the throttle and brake but I sorted it out!
I am letting the 1.4 patch settle down (they are fixing issues with it, hence it's still classed as a beta in Steam), for some mods to catch up with it, and for when I have some free time to set up my steering wheel. Then I will cover it.
Wow finally i got help , because i have real physics v6 and tsm map 2.2 and africa was not there and i ask my self whats wrong and for more of a month i´ve been trying to find a solution and there its was in your new video , THANKS so much daSquirrel :D
I don't really drive that truck, but I'd say that the reason you're having trouble is that the wheels are so much further ahead than you're used to. It's not cab over engine anymore, so the actual turning works differently than you're used to.
You don't have to use an automatic gearbox with your joystick. Change it to sequential and shift up/down with a couple of buttons or the hat switch maybe, whatever is more comfortable. I use the DMS hat up/down to shift on my hotas warthog. You'll be glad to have so much more control over your engine.
your question about slow steering. yes it is that slow...its a long nose or standard style truck vs. cab-over style. the front axle is like 5ft in front of where it would be on a cab-over. my grandfather actually drove a Kenworth w900l and the turbo doesn't wine like that..js
i use a G27 with this game, its brilliant, there are several different shifting settings, but the one i like most is just 1st to 6th then push a button, one becomes 7th and then you go up to 12th. and for reverse you push down the stick in its neutral position, keep it pushed down and put it into 6th (or 12th) manual gears are great when you go uphill, alot of shifting driving in towns though, but i see that as part of the fun ;)
It's a matter of what you grew up seeing as a child. Al-thought I do not care for the I'm American paint job, but the tractor it's self is very nice and what I grew up seeing on the roads in Canada.
hi squirrel have you any videos using the Logitech Extreme 3dPro Joystick on ETS2 Also how did you set it up for the game thankyou also for bringing ETS2 to my attention and opening the door to another world of gaming
Yup. Especially the Longhorn edition with chrome moldings and black paint and the light beige leather for the interior with the capability of having a fifth wheel.... LOOK AT US GEEKING OUT ABOUT TRUCKS ;D
Roll. There is no yaw on the hotas warthog stick. I have Saitek Pro Combat Pedals for that. I actually use the pedals' toe brakes for my accelerator (right) and brake (left) in ETS2.
I installed the new patch on steam it's brilliant :D, but there is a new realism feature too if your brake aren't engaged while on a slope the will move down the slope, which now means you have use your brakes more often then expected, and I also noticed a Air brake simulation in other words you have wait with the engine on for air pressure to build which is freaking awesome :) of course this is toggled via the options many under gameplay if you so choose to use it,
Squirrels, my uncle drives those kinds of trucks and the steering is the same in real life. I have been with him while he has delivered dirt, soil, sand, and gravel. It is very hard to reverse into some of the areas he's had to drive trough to deliver the load.
Decided to buy this game after watching your vids. Think you should get commission from SCS :) This is a great game to relax and listen to the radio while enjoying the view.
You cant go wrong with a G27 squirrel I bought a G25 about 5 years ago and its still going strong. I suggest you give iracing a try when you get ur wheel its blast if you like racing sims etc
Hey. First of all. i'd like to say that i really envoy your video of Euro Truck and Scania Truck Simulator. I'm also a also a fan of this game. I dicovered it with the Firt one and still play it. My computer is not powerful enough to support the second opus. But it would come one day. You are making a really good job with your channel so keep it that Way and pretty nice driving skills by the way. See you. ( I'm french so I hope my english is not too bad, lol)
I´ve driven some of those, the problem with the old big rigs such as this one is, they have a fairly long way from where the front axle is and where your second axle sits, so you have a big way to go for that front half of the truck to come around and the rear axles need to turn on a penny which obviously they don´t wanna do with duallies. I mean I like those rigs, they´re good for long and heavy hauls on flat and highways as it introduces a lot of stability going in a straight line and the sounds and looks are just incredibly awesome but as a European I don´t understand why they like to lengthen their frame so there´s like a four to five meter gap from where the cab ends to where the trailer sits because together with the length of the hood and cabin combined it´s just a nightmare in any kind of "housed" environment. It´s pretty good in states like Texas or alike where you have just awful long ways between cities and there´s highways going 500 miles in a straight line but for Europe that´s just impractical, no matter what.
I'm surprised they just don't make some expansions and drop the Euro part... (Or just leave it as a particular volume. But really it seems like it could become "Global truck simulator".) I know and there are lots of you who could easily watch and hour-long episode. But approx 30 mins is my target as that's what my research has shown works best for most people. You're lucky I don't listen to Machinima and TH-cam recommendations - they say all videos should be 5-10 mins tops.
"Headlight's good" - you had the main beams on LOL.
Im playing ets 2 with g27 and i can tell u its just awesome.
My father drives a freightliner columbia, that is an American truck, and yes the Corning is that slow, also can you try the engine break/ jake break. That is a huge part of American trucks. Love all the vids keep up the good work
"Right now I have a gtx 680 which is a very good card"
I don't think someone has ever dated a video that hard
*Makes honk your horn hand motion*
The steering is partially bad because of the distance between the front wheels and the rear wheels. I personally prefer the flat noses for metro jobs and long noses for long straight country runs.
You deserve more subs
Al least a million I think
+Zaki Syed I agree.
yah I agree

It's just that I don't like the American flag. It's so obnoxious, how many fucking stars do you guys really need?!
even without that pant job that is a great truck i always like pets and that is the first one i seen with the blinkers on the mirrors.
Now that ladies and gentlemen is a REAL truck
so true
Its 100 times better than my crappy old Peterbilt 351, the thing only goes 30 mph! I need a new truck.
No, Missing the sound part
LMFAO "there is no better paint job"
When you get the g27, show us the pedals, steering and all that as you drive plizzzz.
This video is two years old he has had it for a long time now. Watch his streams Sunday night on twitch at 6pm GMT when he uses the wheel
Absolutely love the All American Peterbilt paint sceme. OMG! 10 stars.
Awsome Amrican Truck well I am from US.

It's the money mod listed in the description.

The force feedback in ETS2 version 1.4 is really great. It really has a great truck feel. I have the G25 myself and I am loving it.
In India we get the job done in 180hp and 9 gears 😂
work with what you have right
It’s like real life trucking, starting before dawn and finishing before dusk
Anyone actually watch the entire video?
ME!!!!!!! Because I watch these videos because I enjoy them
hell ya I did
Who doesn't?
great vid as usual squirrel. Thanks for doing something for your all American viewers. Can't wait to visit the U.K. Gotta see where my ancestors are from. keep up the good work!

yay squirrels getting a wheel. You'll enjoy the faster turning and h-shift
they do turn slow but not that bad lol

New system sounds great with a G27! Looking forward to seeing the vids! Dont forget the latest ETS 2 Patch, makes the G27 come alive with the game
Moi je suis rendue niveau 11 et j'ai un garage de merde !!!😄
Speak english in a english channel...
Costantino GAMER no I DON'T CARE
Oh, you will LOVE the G27! I have one, and it's such an absolute joy to play this game with. Looking forward to your switch, mate!
I think this is pretty awesome. I've never seen a British man like American items before. Neat.
I have some PC issues which I need to be rid of now. I can't wait. Besides, there is always something new and better coming out - it's impossible to stay current.
Love the All American Peterbuilt shown in this video.
Squirrel, I would recommend your American Truck & wouldn't. The reason is, The front is really long & when driving in 1st person it gets confusing, the reason you should, its style and its nature, Just a beauty
That would be great.
The bit at the end when Squirrel switched to outside camera I started singing Eastbound and Down to myself....
'It feels like we're inside it' LOL
Again AWESOME vid mate! Good to hear you're switching to a steering wheel. It will be a nice experience! I got myself a Logitech Driving Force GT and it doesn't have a clutch or a H shifter it still is a nice wheel and way cheaper. Though i nearly also had the G27. Looking forward to videos using that!
In the description you wrote 24 tones when it should be 25 tones, love the truck and the vid
Thanks to you Squirrel, I have started using my X52 Pro Joystick to drive in this game. It's much better than the blocky control i get from my 360 controller. Thanks a lot, at first I thought it would be weird on the throttle and brake but I sorted it out!

I'm so glad your finally getting a wheel, you will love the G27
Well that's what is great about gaming - you get to avoid real-life politics and conflict
if you briefly tap the motorbrake key (B) the truck will shift down and during hill climb it will oftenly stay in the lower gear
Wow finally i got help , because i have real physics v6 and tsm map 2.2 and africa was not there and i ask my self whats wrong and for more of a month i´ve been trying to find a solution and there its was in your new video , THANKS so much daSquirrel :D
That's what all 18 wheelers (which is what we call trucks in Canada) look like in Canada, all 18 wheelers have the big hood in front
I don't really drive that truck, but I'd say that the reason you're having trouble is that the wheels are so much further ahead than you're used to. It's not cab over engine anymore, so the actual turning works differently than you're used to.

This peterbuilt series actually comes with a large Cummings engine which is one of the best
I was on a road trip and at the hotel you video made me trip better!
Nice squirrel, my friend has a peterbilt 379 with a 8000 turbo... 18 speed. It's beast
your question about slow steering. yes it is that slow...its a long nose or standard style truck vs. cab-over style. the front axle is like 5ft in front of where it would be on a cab-over. my grandfather actually drove a Kenworth w900l and the turbo doesn't wine like that..js

best rig paint job ever
It's a matter of what you grew up seeing as a child. Al-thought I do not care for the I'm American paint job, but the tractor it's self is very nice and what I grew up seeing on the roads in Canada.
the update for etus2 made the force feedback like ten times better
Yes the joystick does turn slower than a wheel and you have to take turns alittle slower in conventional trucks as opposed to cab overs.
Would be great to see a giant Australian land train winding its way through the narrow roads of Europe in this game.
its so chill to look at you driving, you got skills man :) I love you're videos btw i hope you make many more vids;))
the slow steering is probably because of the joystick because my dad used to drive a Peterbilt and the steering on it was pretty solid
cant argue with a good ole Peterbilt
At 13.33 never inspected the truck. Forgeting things cause its a good truck lol keep on with vids squirrel
2:08 funny asking about right of way when passing yield sign :-D
hi squirrel have you any videos using the Logitech Extreme 3dPro Joystick on ETS2 Also how did you set it up for the game

I cant wait when ATS comes out! I hope ~Squirrel~ will play it!
Roll. There is no yaw on the hotas warthog stick. I have Saitek Pro Combat Pedals for that. I actually use the pedals' toe brakes for my accelerator (right) and brake (left) in ETS2.
No. This is 1.3.1 ETS. The TSM mod does not work with 1.4 ETS
750W power supply is what I'm getting. The peak draw of the system is 460W and it idles at 70W

Sometimes in an auto, if you struggle on a hill, tap , B , or jake brake and it will change gear hopefully closer to the right one.
Decided to buy this game after watching your vids. Think you should get commission from SCS :) This is a great game to relax and listen to the radio while enjoying the view.
You made me buy Euro Truck Simulator 2, Can't say I regret it. :D
that is awesome that you are driving a great American truck
Already looking forward to that squirrel
I love the colour of the truck and how big it is !!!!???
Now that Peterbilt is a truck built with freedom lol!
Nothing looks quite as amazing as a lowered 379 lit up at night ;) plus mated with a 3406 and straight pipes ;) or a big cam 400
You still need 370 rears for more pulling power
You cant go wrong with a G27 squirrel I bought a G25 about 5 years ago and its still going strong. I suggest you give iracing a try when you get ur wheel its blast if you like racing sims etc
Driving around Northern Africa with a truck painted that way would probably get you some very strange looks from the locals! :)
Hey. First of all. i'd like to say that i really envoy your video of Euro Truck and Scania Truck Simulator. I'm also a also a fan of this game. I dicovered it with the Firt one and still play it. Squirrel. Thanks 🙏 for your great 👍 work you have done ✅ a fantastic talent you have.to me details is everything and you have tons of it thanks 🙏 mate
I'm an Aussie driver, it is hard and painful to drive the big rigs for a while, but just remember the big rigs don't have power steering.
Actually they do have power steering
Most of the older trucks don't,my dads truck is a 2012 model mack so it does
Would love to see this rolling into Tripoli!
Great video Squirrel...Cant wait til 2nd part :-)
LOVE YOUR INTRO
We need to get Squirrel to America.. Land of the Free baby!
Its a save game file bud - Squirrel has 2 profiles a career one and a research one where he's testing/reviewing trucks
Dude, this game looks really fun, I am going to try it, that you!
when you get your g27 you should come back to the windy roads of Africa and with the same truck and see how different it is with manual gears
