    I did the layout and installation by studying the on line videos Husqvarna had on the web th-cam.com/users/postUgkx2KDztGvdU79XTmlqIMSUyPq8CjprGJOR also recommended it When I started the unit it stated it would take a few days to learn all the spots in the yard. So I thought it was just finding the areas till I noticed it was cutting. It is so quite you don't know it is cutting.

    You have to register the mower, it's batteries, and the charger to get the 5 year warranty. it would not be so jerky if you weren't in Sport mode. Try standard or control. If you live within a certain range of a Lowes with this mower in stock they assemble it first from the crate and then deliver it. If you're too far it comes on a crate and you have to install the seat and the arms.

    After 3 years what do you think now? And where do you take it to get fixed for repairs? I had a multi tool ego head break at the carbon fiber connection point after 4mo of commercial use. Customer service is good so far and they are supposed to send out a replacement.

    I switched to an Ego push mower, string trimmer, leaf blower and snow blower a few years ago. Since the electric motors do not bog down like a gas engine, I can keep going, reducing the job time significantly. I don't miss cleaning air filters, changing and getting rid of used oil, harmful fumes, noise and the Ariens snow blower with a Briggs and Stratton engine that rarely started in the winter.

    • @Driven-Productions
      @Driven-Productions  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Exactly. Over ICE! As you said, between the annual maintenance that you have to do, noise, fumes, having to find non-ethanol fuel that ruined it for me.

  • @wallywest2360

    Thanks for the review. I would definitely get one if i had a yard like yours. Mine is pretty small and for the last year I've used the Ego 21" self propelled mower. It's so much nicer than messing with the gas mower I had before, and the price is really quite competitive to gas mowers with the same basic capabilities. My battery is still going strong, I have a 7.5 mah, I think the Z6 uses their 10 mah batteries. I get a good bit longer run time than advertised and I live on a hill so I do use the self propel feature quite a bit.
    I'm totally sold on their yard tool line. Got the multi tool as well, the one you can swap different attachments on for things like a weed eater, tiller, pole saw, edger, etc... Works great.

    My Z6 was a floor model and with my military discount and free delivery right to my door it cost $4700.00. This is the future of lawn mowers no belts and nothing to do with ICE (internal combustion engine) Very quiet & with the led lights you could mow at midnight and not wake the neighbors. From my old Yard Machine 42" cut steering wheel model I have cut my mowing time in half. I am now hooked on Electric Zero Turn mowers; the new way for lawn care ! This mower is a Win Win for me.

I love how quiet your EGO is, the fact that you can talk on video while using it without shouting over it. Conversely, my ZTR is so loud that I wear ear plugs AND muffs while cutting. • @comstd1
    @comstd1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have a question about how it compares to your John Deere as far as how long it takes you to mow. I'm in New Hamoshire with a 1 acre lot that is all lawn except for the pool, house and driveway. I am currently using a Cub Cadet LT1050 tractor with a 50" deck, mulching, and it takes me about 90 minutes to do the lawn. I'm curious how long it should take with the Z6 with the smaller deck.

    • @Driven-Productions
      @Driven-Productions  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It goes 10 mph, so it’s pretty fast. You would add like 3-4 more up/down lines to your job, adding just a few minutes. But the smell, noise and overall fun factor of the instant electric power will make up for it. I just don’t miss my JD at all. And I was the the guy who always wanted one ya know.

The only way to get the mower to roll freely is to (1) Wait until it completes whatever shadow shutdown mode its doing after power is cut or (2) open the battery lid and simply disengage each battery so that none are lit. Then re-engage them and the mower stays off and you can push it now.

Also my yard has a lot of divots and stuff from where the feral pigs came and tore it up. It is so rough and uneven it's very hard to mow. And it's over where the embankment is. The hill part and the whole side of the yard that comes off of the hill is all messed up. You turn your ankle trying to walk through there! Last time I tried to mow with my regular gas mower (John Deere) it totally killed it when the blades hit. I'd be afraid to tear up and expensive new mower like this on that yard. Yes. Intermittent blade starting issues. Somewhat my fault of running into a fence and denting the deck, somewhat there fault after fixing the dent but still off and on - no go blade action.
