    The unallocated hard drive already has data which we need. You take it for granted that the drive is empty and/or needs just formating. If we format we lose the data. You are very rigid without making it clear that there is no chance of recovering the data. 6:18

    The thing is, I don't have access to the window display screen. This is hapening when I am in the windown Installation process. Is there any tutorial for this? I have tried to scann the this disk, creating and cleaning the disk but it's not working. I even tried to recreate partition "create partition primary size=5000" it's still not working.
    I continue to get a waning message "cyclic redundancy check).

      Hi there, thank you for your question! I would recommend you start by checking the disk with the CHKDSK utility using a Windows installation USB. Boot into the installation media, select "Repair your computer," open the Command Prompt, and run chkdsk X: /f /r, replacing X: with the drive letter. If errors persist, use DiskPart to clean and format (you will loose all your data on the drive) the disk by booting into the installation USB, opening Command Prompt (Shift + F10), running diskpart, selecting the affected disk, cleaning it, and then creating a new partition. Also, ensure you're using a working USB or ISO by downloading a fresh copy of the Windows ISO and creating a bootable USB.

    My allocated space is half my C: drive. Does all this still apply? I had my drive replaced recently and was replaced with a drive double the size; but now, half of it is unallocated. I guess I'm back to exactly where I started, with the same amount of usable space on my C: drive. Be nice if I could use it, though.😆
    Was thinking about creating a new volume using that unallocated part and calling it G: or whatever, and just treating it like a separate drive. Any thoughts?

    • @RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware
      @RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there, thank you for your question! You can create a new volume using it and treat it as a separate drive. To do this, open the Disk Management utility by pressing the Windows key + X and selecting "Disk Management." Locate the unallocated space, right-click on it, and choose "New Simple Volume." Follow the instructions in the wizard, specifying the size and assigning a drive letter (like G:). Once created, you can use the new volume independently from your C: drive, allowing you to utilize the additional space.

  • @destryd1
    @destryd1 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    You guys are going about this the hard way. When the "unallocated" rears it's ugly head it is because the partition config file has been corrupted for some reason and the fix is quick and simple. Obviously the config needs fixed. You can use the MiniTool Partition Wizard free version to fix this.
    Open the program and highlight the partition that has the corruption
    Right click on the partition and select move/resize
    Make your partition size a little bit smaller (all we are trying to do is get the software to examine and write the configuration of the partition)
    CLick OK and Click Apply on the next screen
    Your disk will now function normally. You can add that space back to the partition now - change drive letter etc
    Much simpler procedure that fixes the problem fast

Is there a way to compile things? There's specifically one text doc, odt file, that I really want back but it's all hash marks, is it's real data somewhere? Will the first method erase the data on the external hard drive?

    • @RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware
      @RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi there, thank you for your question! Creating a new partition on an external hard drive will not erase the data on the existing partitions, as long as you have enough unallocated space on the drive. However, if you need to shrink or delete an existing partition to make room for the new one, you may lose some or all of the data on that partition. Therefore, it is recommended to back up your important data before partitioning your external hard drive.

    For some reason, after I got my new PC together a couple of days ago, all my accessories, including headset, mouse, and keyboard stop working randomly for about 5 seconds. After they come back to life, my computer asks me to specify a function for my external HD (don't know the exact translation since my windows language isn't English). Usually after that scene, my resources management opens itself up on the HD's location. Also in disk management, it seems that 100Mt out of 1TB which my HD has, is unallocated. @@RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware i followed the video. Got the drive back but not my data. Gonna save up for 130$ for MiniTool Disk Management.
      I scanned my drive using their data recovery which is picked of the 237GB of used disk space. So ill use that.
      Unless there's a free way of doing this im using their app. As its 130$ for lifetime.

    does the files that were deleted recover in the unallocated after making new volume?

      No, there will be no chance of recovery. His last optional step attempts to recover data. But we haven't tried it yet. Still looking for options. We have a 4TB drive(that was full) that went unallocated for some reason. Creating another partition/volume will delete everything.

    Please help. I added my SSD from my previous pc to the new one, SATA and Power cable in, but it still doesn't show even as an unallocated disk. Nothing.

      Hi there, thank you for your question! You should start by checking that the SATA and power cables are properly connected to the SSD and motherboard. Next, enter the BIOS settings and ensure that the SATA port is enabled and the boot order is set correctly. If the SSD is still not showing up, you may need to initialize it using Windows Disk Management. Additionally, check for any necessary driver updates for the motherboard chipset.
