For those of you wondering how long he (Malaysian Prisoner) was there, he claimed that "In 2002, I still needed an interpreter so I couldn't share my thoughts whenever I wanted". Towards the end he said that he was 10 months left and has spent 19 years. I'm happy for him, but Vietnam gives the death sentence for drug smugglers. Im surprised he got the life sentence

Death sentence have psychological effect, so that the other won’t do the same, also transport drug is the first step to give drug to user so it’s critical and death sentence is necessary

The English subtitles dose not covey how much the guards respect and care for the prisoners, if you understand Vietnamese you really get what the guards are saying.

I've been living in HCMC for 7 years. Can someone please suggest a similar course that is offered inside the city? There are many Vietnamese language teachers available for private study but I haven't found any organized classes like this. These prisoners have it better than we do :)
