  • Dr. Thomas Mensah, Ghanaian-American Scientist, and renowned #FiberOptics and #NanoTechnology innovator, called on President Akufo-Addo of Ghana to consider the building of a #HighSpeed #RailSystem in the country to link two of the nation’s important port cities; Accra and Takoradi in the South, to Tamale passing through Kumasi when the two met on the sidelines of the 2017 #UnitedNations #GeneralAssembly in New York. In this video, Dr. Mensah further explains the idea to the Voice Of America show 'Africa 54' with Vincent Makore. Read more about the project at www.theafricandream.net/dr-th... and share this video too.

The governmet should study and if it seems to be helping the economy and the movement of goods and people then the proposal submitted by this Scientist must be given a green light . Period . Your fellow African from Somalia .

I hope President Nana Akufo Addo and his Vice Dr. Bawumia full of wisdom will accept this proposal and start building this bullet train immediately. This is one of the best ideas for Ghana and this idea will create job and put Ghana into manufacturing which will move Ghana to a different level. We thank Thomas Mensah for coming back to Ghana with his knowledge and wisdom to help the country. This will encourage other Ghanaians to come back home with their knowledge and wisdom to help the country as well.

How do expect the jobs to be delivered to the youth. This project could create one million jobs for the youth.
Are you a troll who is just doing this to give a bad brand to the Church or what?. Evangelist has the spirit of wisdom. Wise up.

Infrastructure is mother of Development. Good job Dr. Mensah. There are three infrastructures required for rapid development in African countries.
    1. ELECTRICITY
    2. TRANSPORTATION
    3. AGRICULTURE
Every other development follows. I hope our African leaders implement all the above.

High speed is not the solution, count one before two. What Ghana can afford now is standard rail way from south to north. When this is achieved then high speed will come next.

No doubt we need vision for whole or Africa develop ment but true electricity and transport network has to be in place
Costin to ensure proper effectiveness because if too expensive then we downgrade to normalise train
Even UK doesn't have high speed yet

Yea Eveo know how to invent men LIKE women but all talking but forget that without electricity NOTHING could be done. No développement with sustainability in aggregat of clean energy. Africa politics with instabilities hold them back in every arena of développement. Look at Togo, 53 yrs one family with no Hospital not even adequete infrastructure . A country full of brain destroy for over 60 yrs due to France and British dirty politics. Mr Mensah be pride of your origine Eveo/Eweo/ Ev-vry.

I'm not agree with Dr Thomas Mensah here,
because train 🚂 tricks should be divide ➗ East & West not all should go to Accra ,Kumasi and Tamale !
East line should start from Accra Easten Region , Yaji , Tamale and end Paga
West line should start from Cape Coast Kumasi, Bono Capital, Techiman, Savannah Capital and end WA Capital

Dr Thomas Mensah, you jumped over board, how could we build a high speed trail while ghana is not power sufficient, I am expecting you to tackle the issue from the bottom to the top rather you are handling it from the top to bottom. please stop rattling it seems to me you are bragging. unlike professor Alloitey you are talking too much. Don't you know you are jumping from one to ten ? missing 2,3,4,5....thx.

James Williams but all those problems can be tackle together, the foundation need to be lay down if we keep waiting for one thing then we will never get anything done. Multitask Africa is so far behind we can't just do one thing at a time. I know we need funds, but power, infrastructures, schools, hospitals, education, we need to organize and work on those things at the same time they are interchangeable. It's time for us to do !

James Williams you need to know your stuff before you speak. These trains will run on diesel but not on electricity.
