My Thoughts on the CaseIH Titan 4540

I was able to somewhat "demo" our neighbor's 2017 CaseIH Titan 4540, figured I would do a walk around summary of it. I had better video, but the sound was missing... again.

Case IH has since quit producing the 810 Flex air box. They now use a Salford built, case branded FA 1030 box which is a far superior box.

Also, the booms and folding arent "auto-folding" to be fair. Raise the booms all the way up then proceed to fold in.

If buying would you consider a pull type spreader or would you prefer a self propelled model?
When your saying precision farming i seen your using climate do you find that a worthwhile endeavor.
And are you using wass signals or do you habe an upgraded subscription if you dont mind me asking

Leaning heavily towards pull type spreader.
I really like the CFV, still has some kinks to work out, and our seeder isn’t compatible so you need to manually put in rates. It’s awesome for record keeping.
We have WAAS on the versatile 2375, and were trying WAAS on the sprayer last year, but we ran RTK on both combines and the 610dt. Will definitely run RTK on the sprayer as well this coming year. Wayyyy better repeatability. We can pick up the same line without nudging lines the next morning, with WAAS it’s 15 mins max before you lose your line and have to adjust.

Nice you don't hear much about people having rtk towers here. (lampman) id be interested in running an RTX supposed to be juat as accurate without the cost of the tower installation

Just buy a pull type spin spreader way less maintenance and up keep and less expensive
