By accessing the web browser by that method you are not testing the speeds of your portal's connection. It's the ps5 connection that you are seeing because the browser is open on the ps5 not the portal. So the idea of being able to test public WiFi with this method on the portal wont work.
Your right! This feature still could be still be useful for people who want to find out what their internet speeds are back at home. Especially if you have alot of devices connected. Thanks for the correction again! 🫡🔥🎮
I guess an alternative method is to test bandwith speed with a phone on Wifi held close by the Portal. But the phone is going to be different hardware tech than the Portal, but it gives a useful indication of the wifi conditions that the portal is in, at least..

Nope! The portal only supports its own controls
Why would you want to?
Yes you actually can you got to go to settings >accessibility > controllers> Use second controller for assistance, then sign in as another user . Hope this helped
Hi there my ps portal turns my ps5 on from rest mode but it doesn’t actually get a connection like it shows that something went wrong and the only way it does work is from hotspot so I would appreciate if you could tell me how to make it work on my home wifi

Bro I travel a lot and I'm going to have to disagree with you on that I mean to each their own like he said.
You might be catching a bad experience from it or not know how to maximize it but for somebody like me who's been remote playing since PS3 days this is what I've been looking for. When I travel I don't have to bring my tablet and a controller with me I have a all in one device like the poetal. Before someone says "oh well you can use your phone", I'm not trying to take up my phone and play on a small screen if I wanted to do that I'd be playing on my Vita. I'm not because I don't like playing on small screens. I'm sure there's a lot of people who bought it who feel the same way so again to each their own my dude.
People say yeah you can get the steam deck, but why would anyone pay another $200--300 If they only wants to play their PlayStation games.
There's a lot of people like that That's why these things being nicknamed the dad station, Don't believe me Go and reddit and see how many dads have bought this and now catching up on her back logged games.
Great piece of kit, I take the portal with me on my travels and connect to Wi-Fi or iPhone hot spot with no problems
