Ulidavaru Kandante is a cult classic for kannada cinema 💫💫💫it is a shame that when it was released in the theaters, many weren't able to prize this movie.....Rakshith Shetty is truly one of the gems of our sandalwood industry

This movie writing is different level completely agree.
Rishab deserves everything that he got with 'Kantara' but even he admits that it was 'Ulidavaru Kandante' that changed his outlook towards cinema. If there is someone who deserves a monumental box office success it is Rakshit. I really hope he gets that with 'SSE' or 'Richard Anthony' soon.

If movies like Ulidavaru Kandanthe is released today it would have become a huge success but sadly our audience were well tuned to masala movies and traditional hero worship movies...but it surely made a mark for Rakshit in the Industry his Film making and Cinematic Brilliance and paved way for many movies Kantara... Hope his sequel to the movie receives nation wide success hope our people are changing...
This movie is a tribute to Quentin Tarantino and Akira Kurasowa. This movie's sequel and prequel Richard Anthony is coming on the way. It's produced by Hombale films.
As far as indian cinema 'Ulidavaru kandante' is greatest movie of all time. not just the writing, The background music which is so culturally rooted and U can see the cult classic antagonist which is so rooted to South canara and love story also.

It is a prequel to Pulp Fiction as he uses the Marsellus Wallace reference in the movie
The music that came with this movie was a benchmark to deviate from romance and mass numbers that kannada industry aces in. The grey tones and noir lyrics stick out.
UK is one of the greatest Indian film ever made, it was the film that made me watch indian and kannada movies again.
Ulidavaru kandante is love, One of the classic movie. Sadly that movie didn't receive what does it deserve. But no matter what, respect.

Also, in recent interviews rakshit shetty narrated different perspectives ,its beyond all these.. He narrated that the 5 main characters, 5 different persons stories,5 different perspective are just like 5 elements such as fire,water,earth,wind and sky!!!
