@@OFFROADOVERDRIVE I personally don’t like the throttle tube my whole wrist is contorted while wide open
Switch to the R6 throttle tube. This way you only need to do half of the movement to get full throttle. Much better and more comfortable

@@Lanceyyy well, we're married now. Went to price out the MT-03 and was quoted $6500. Went to my Kawasaki dealer and was quoted $6300 for a Ninja 400, and went with that. The 400 now has 14,000 miles.

Hey man! I got my mirrors of Amazon, but you can also find them on AliExpress. Search for CNC Mirrors. You have two options short ones or normal, like mine!

Can you show me how you mounted your license plate light? I have the taillight and tail tidy installed but I didn't see a way to route the wires for the license plate light into the bike without going over the tail tidy!

Recently a purchase a full exhaust Scorpion RP1 GP (, that's actually is for the R3 MODEL), So doesn't fit well the plastic fairing of the exhaust .. I saw your modification cutting a piece of that (. Also the canister remotion). If you can send a picture of how the modification is. I'm really appreciate that.

Gilles also make R3/MT03 rear sets, but they're pricey. Painting the OEM ones how you've painted your handlebars would probably be the cheapest idea 😂
Yeah their quite expensive. If I would do it it would be painting the oem ones!
This bike still top on my list. I owned 7yrs old SZR150 and the engine still kicking like a brandnew.
Im just confused what to choose. Engine Durability over Expressway Legal Bikes? Because MT03 here in my country can't access the Expressway.
Here's my upgrade list bike.
1.) Yamaha MT03
2.) CFMOTO NK400
3.) KTM D390
4.) KTM RC390 1st Gen
5.) Bajaj Dominar 400
Those 4 bikes can access Expressway except MT03 but Yamaha already proves what is your benefits using their bikes. I have also 4wheels that can access in expressway. But i dreaming before that someday i can access expressway using Motorcycle. Maybe its not the time. But nextime MT09 🙏

The MT 03 is a r3. Just different body and handlebars
What are the brake and clutch levers you have? The stock are the ugly clunky silver ones that I want to replace. I am finding it hard to buy aftermarket parts that are built for this bike, in Australia they seem to have 1 specific built part, such as a shifter (which I low sided whilst basically stationary on my 2nd day, bent it inwards so foot and knee twist) or 0 aftermarket levers. If it doesn't say x part for 2019 Yamaha Mt-03 then I don't think it would fit, even universal parts I doubt.

Hey, how did you put on the USB charging port? Did you just directly wire it from the battery? Nice bike btw mine is starting to be about the same with yours with the black base but put some bright green rims and accents to it.
Hey, yes I got a USB charger for a motorcycle which connects directly to the battery. Works perfectly.

Hi. Are there any issues with full exhausts and bikes passing inspections? What about any issues with cops, etc ?
Depends on your countries laws! In Portugal we don't have inspections for motorcycles, but it's ilegal to change your exhaust. I've had issues in the past getting fined by the cops

Hey, I have it connected directly to the battery. If there is nothing plugged, the battery will never drain. Almost 2 years like this and no issue.

Hey! Using the stock Yamaha tire sizes, 110/70 front and 140/70 on the rear.
Do you have any plan to change out the throttle tube to improve the throw?
I have changed it, I installed the R6 throttle tube. It's much more comfortable to ride

Why you didnt bought the R3 instead of this?
Both bikes are very similar but also very different. I didnt enjoy the sitting position of the R3 and prefered the new looks of the MT-03.
Hey man I bought a sc project full system for my mt 03, and that small box is hitting my headers and it's melting. Just wondering what happens if I remove it? And also with what did you close the channels with?
There’s no issue on removing the black box, Yamaha racing mechanics confirmed. All you have to do is close the channels, to do that I used a bolt and a zip tie on top. Been riding for more than a year like this and everything is fine. If you need pictures or more info send me a message on Instagram.

No! Not at all, it’s actually good. Let’s your engine get more air, and also improves performance

How did you plug up the canister?
After removing the canister itself I just blocked off the hoses with some screws and zip tie. But later I ended up just removing the whole canister system and installing a smog off plate!

Yeah, you need to have a reflector on the back by law.
In Portugal you can’t change anything on the bike. Its ridiculous, they can impound your bike just for having an exhaust system..

Performance or astetics? If you want more performance the best top mods would be a full system exhaust, racing air filter and an ECU Flash. With this basic 3 things you will notice a big performance upgrade.

I have the same bike with akrapovic full exhaust. I still have my emissions filter as it's not hitting it. Does removing it make the bike better or?
I don't believe so! It shouldn't affect performance having it or not. Having a racing airfilter helps tho!

Hey man, thanks for the support. No dont worry, the radiator guard wont affect the air incoming. Having a radiator guard is great to protect it, over time with rocks and other things will damage the radiator since its a very sensitive/fragile part.

Did you have to tune the ecu or anything for that exhaust???
You don’t have to tune the bike after, it works fine after the installation. After putting the exhaust you’ll gain acceleration but will lose top speed, so or you ask Yamaha to flash the bike so the sensores know there’s a new exhaust installed or you do an ECU flash on the bike which will be more expensive but will gain more top speed.

No, the bike works fine just with the exhaust installed. But you should tune the bike after because you will lose top speed.

Yes, with a full system and no ECU tune/reflash you will lose top speed. Stock I could reach 195km/h, with the full system and no tune you gain A LOT of acceleration but lose top speed, can only reach 185km/h on a straight road.

in my place no one can do reflash o mt-03 they only have reflash on r3
Not sure about the performance with the slip on. Never had a slip on, went straight to the full system. The R3 engine is the same as MT-03... so the tune is the same.
How tall are you ? Would a 6'3 person fit on a mt03?
I’m 1.79m, it’s a matter of personal preference and comfort. If you can try to test ride the bike and see how she feels on you.

I use the stock tire size. They are the Bridgestone S22, I use both in the front and rear.

I love this bike in every aspect. I was at the dealership last week and saw it in that grey and orange/blue colorway. There's a black one 93 miles from me and I'm really highly considering going tomorrow and walking out with it and starting to basically order your mod list. Love the videos bro. Go for it! It’s an amazing bike 😍 I highly considered the grey color option, but ended up going with a full black model.
Regarding closing the channels question, I just put some machine screws and used the spring clip on top to make pressure.
About the exhaust, didn’t really understand your question. This is a full system, not a slip on.

@@dynamite859 I did, funny story. The dealer fucked me over. They said they’d hold it for me no deposit needed. ( I offered) and then I called and they said they sold the bike. So I found another. Bought it. Rode it maybe 300 miles and traded in for a raptor 700.

Hey, I’m fine with the stock suspensions and forks. Not planning on upgrading or modifying. Their stiff, but good for the style of riding I do.
@@AXRIDER Really? It looks like you are pushing this bike quite hard so I thought you are on the limits of stock suspension capabilities. I personally would like adjustable suspension on my MT becasue it is very hard for me.

No, I removed it because of the new SC Project exhaust wouldn’t fit with the filter on the bike. If I didn’t remove it, I couldn’t put on the exhaust
