Hi Naoya, a few days ago I saw youre first video appear in my feed because I like to watch Akiyas videos as part of my plan to move to Japan in the near future. I hear you, I'm 38 years old and a bit lost, been struggling to find my purpose for the last 4 years. I have a successful career but not happy, so I'm planning to change everything. I think is very courageous to show you as you are. Keep up

I am a bit of an altruist and I quite accidentally stumbled into your channel. I blame TH-cam for that. 😕I discovered a young man who seemed conflicted. It reminded me of my two sons when they were in their first jobs and had issues. I thought that maybe I could help this young man through comments to give some support and direction. I had no interest in language studies at all and I still don't. So now you wish to practice altruism and that's a wonderful thing. It turns out that you are in the perfect profession to help people with your compassion and new found awareness. Suicides among Japanese adolescents and young adults is high. They are under tremendous pressure to score high enough to get into a good school, thinking that if they don't succeed they will be failures for the rest of their lives, or that they have brought dishonor on their parents. Maybe there is something you can do to save some of these souls. Please remember though that you need to be compassionate and at peace with yourself. 🙂

I’m so glad that I found your videos. They have been really inspiring and remind me that being stuck isn’t forever and that I do have power even when life is starting to feel mundane or just something that’s passing by. Recently I’ve been subscribing to people who have less subscriber counts and they are just speaking on their life experiences. Many of them are in their 20s, stuck and are shifting themselves to a healthier mindset. This is also a direct reflection of what’s happening in my life. It’s pretty satisfying seeing people who are in a similar dilemma as me, come to the same conclusions and conquer the mindset that sets them back. I’m excited to watch your journey and however you develop this channel!! All the best, you’re doing great buddy!!

Naoya, I can feel your sincerity in your videos. Your English is very good, BTW, you should feel proud of your efforts.
I think you are a great example, in your speech, in your thoughts, in your approach, of what makes Japanese culture so amazing and why Japanese people enjoy so much admiration.
    Keep going, and thank you.

Damn I found this channel by coincidence but it’s very rare to see content like this, seeing the titles of the videos you only talk about things worth mentioning and talking about so now I’m a subscriber !!

    Hello Naoya from Nagoya☀️
You’re so determined! It’s so beautiful. Making mistakes is not always a bad thing because you can learn from it, can’t you? If you make small mistakes in your videos, I’m sure it’ll make you look charming, and even more people will like you✨You have so many people with a good heart. I envy you. That’s just because you’re sweet at heart💖 I strongly believe so.
Hope you have a relaxing afternoon👍

I totally agree with you. Failures are always a stepping stone to success. If we cultivate the habit of never giving up even if we fail a hundred times, it's still worth it. Thank you for making such meaningful videos and being an inspiration ❤
Btw, can i ask what does your name means in Japanese? Sry im just curious 😅

Oh honey. I hope you don't feel pressured about anything. I can't answer for everyone but I like your videos because it's like i'm just talking to a friend^^ You're relatable!^^
Anyways~ I also need to make mistakes more often. Being a human being, that irrational fear of failure due to the possibility of being ostracized is so strong. It's not our fault though! It's an evolutionary mechanism that has helped us survive so let's be kinder to ourselves! ⋆。˚ ☁︎ ˚。⋆。
Wishing for not only Naoya san's success, but also to everyone in this comment section x3 we should really talk to each other and become like a cute community lol

I am so glad that you made this channel, because not only it has helped you but it has helped us with so many things as well.
Day 31: there's this 1 girl in class that I really like and I also think that she likes me, I randomly got really close to her. Like we eat lunch together or brush teeth together. I want to ask her out but don't have the courage to do it. But today when we were alone in our room I got really close to asking her out until her friends came. I didn't want her friends to know. 😭 It's a wasted opportunity.

I subscribed because I felt like we were on a similar journey, and I felt myself relate to a lot of your thoughts and words, so I really wanted to follow your journey and share some of my own thoughts with you too. Since I have also been trying my best to grow as a person and work on myself over the past few months/years, your channel really resonated with me! Also, I really felt it was nice to see a person on TH-cam be so authentic, and I also enjoy how simple you keep your videos (without any editing or other stuff), it really makes it all feel very authentic. Just wanted to share that since you said you didn’t know why people followed you 😊
Rooting for you and your plans for the future! 💪🏼 Keep on doing what you’re doing :)

Once you have posted 1 video on TH-cam, there is a chance you reach every single person on Earth. You speak about very intense subjects like the psychology of addiction. You talk about lighter subjects like why you love Onsens. Even here you talk about how mistakes are necessary to proceed to mastery of a skill. You’re more articulate in a second language than a majority of people in their first language. All of that is what i think makes this channel interesting.
It becomes easier to allow yourself to make mistakes when you have a community that will not judge you or laugh at you, but rather politely correct you, cheer you on.
Maybe in the future there will be a Naoya Discord server/community to sort of work through similar types of problems in real time.
Edit: just wanted to add do not fear of being cancelled. In the arena of ideas, we need to hear all of them and then parse them for evidence backing it up. Bad ideas or “morally reprehensible” ideas when brought under the microscope don’t stand the test of scrutiny, other wise they wouldn’t be bad or distasteful ideas. Frivolous Cancel culture is slowly losing. On top of all that, you are very wholesome. Km sure your worst ideas dont follow under what that section of society is seeking to destroy
