Here in Arizona - Lake Mohave - we are a big fan of the Carolina Rig. This Mojo Rig is a Carolina Rig "Light", and it produces great results in our crystal clear waters. Glen you've done it again, fantastic video. Thanks, and keep-em coming......

I have used this for years. It has paid off for me as I fish as a co-angler in the BFL, ABA and some Rayovac tournaments. Fishing behind boaters who are 'SERIOUS', meaning they don't leave a lot of unfished water, this just dragging along as they run the trolling motor has paid off in a lot of keepers they miss.
I actually use a 1/8 bullet weight ahead of the swivel. They usually just load up on iit rather than a solid bite. I caught the big fish for co-anglers 3 times in tournaments.

Gonna try with this type of weight, many times in our small pond, don't use any weight, just toss and fish hit almost as soon as hits water.

Great video. I have tried this about 6 mo. ago at a little lake at Eisenhower park here in Texas. Caught a couple of brim, but to small to do anything with. What I catch, I usually release anyway, but always have a good time trying out all the different rigs that Glenn shows us in his videos. Good luck to all & may your fishing always be catching.

I often use a 3/16oz mojo weight or 1/8oz split shot. I'll especially use this type of rig when it is a little breezy. I often like to fish weightless most times because it produces well for me, however I've cleaned 'em up using this also in inclement weather conditions. Good fishing!! :)

  • @brucer9409

Great Video! I fish that rig a little less finesse although the basics are there. I like a 1/4 oz. in all conditions and find it doesn't bother the fish, even in shallower situations. I use 8 and 10# line, generally fluorocarbon, but lately (finally) have gone 15# braid to a 11 ft. leader of 8 or 10# fc. I don't worry too much about how much or high my bait lifts off the bottom, instead I believe the separation of weight makes the bait just seem more natural to the bass, and for that reason usually position the mojo weight probably 12 - 16" up the line, and use a peg it II to peg the weight, yet with enough friction to keep the weight in that position, its not so tight that you can't reposition the weight without nicking/damaging your line. I guess I never learned the right way to fish this rig as I just viewed Flukemaster's video on using the mojo and he also tends to go very light on his weight and uses a ML rod. So I guess both setups work well cause i've literally caught thousands of bass over the almost 30 years I've been throwing this rig, which has become my confidence rig, including many, many bass in the 3 -6 pound range.

The 4" version of the Zoom Trick Worm is called "Finesse Worm". It's the exact same worm but smaller. It works when bass are in a negative mood as in the Dog Days of Summer. I use this sort of rig, but with an 1/8 oz. bullet weight, a small swivel and a leader. Just a downsized C-rig. You are essentially fishing for more bites and smaller fish, but there will be an occasional big gal in the mix.
