Curiouser and curiouser my friend. Both Whitlock brothers give me the chills as its strictly up to which clubs will make the play to pick them up earlier for better value long term. KPP's won't be in a massive abundance or at least they'll be treated as such from now onwards with Tassie looming and like the value of a first round pick, the value of getting a KPP now could mean all the difference in what will be a far HARDER draft come 2027 onwards
@@daztalksfooty already have enough youth on the list? I reckon they look at someone like Travaglia or perhaps Allen. Up forward I'm not sure I'd want to be totally relying on Neale, and Blicavs is going to be a loss at some stage. There looks like there could be some mobile talls available around their first. Sitting out of this draft would be an 'interesting' choice.
I can actually see a scenario where Sydney takes both the Whitlock's as bookends for the next decade and a bit. This would potentially provide a spine of J. Whitlock, L. McDonald, C. Mills / Chad Warner, M. Whitlock, T. McCartin. I am not a Sydney fan, but when you mentioned Matt Whitlock I immediately thought of Sydney taking both Matt and Jack with their current picks at 18 and 19. Sydney could then pick up someone like Johnson or Herbert with their third pick around pick 50. As a Crows fan, I am hoping we draft one of Smillie / Langford / Allen with our first pick, and then Davis, Urquhart and Welsh with our remaining picks. I understand this would almost be a dream draft, and unlikely to occur, but at this stage in the season one can still dream LOL. My gut feel is that Draper won't make it past West Coast come draft night.
Yeah both Whitlocks at the back end of the 1st is something I'm considering heavily to be honest. Especially with Jack hitting some good post-carnival form! For the Crows, midfielder first is definitely the go (Smillie, Langford, FOS or Draper). I am a massive fan of Urquhart and think he is an elite fit
I agree with both Whitlocks to Sydney at 18/19. Ive had this locked in for a while. They need a FB and would love another consistent FF. Why not get both, keep the brothers together.
Always love your videos mate, do you think Joe Berry could make it to North’s second rounder at pick 22/23? We are definitely in need of a genuine small forward!
Think this is a hard question to answer right now BUT whilst there's no Harley/JHF type at the top end, there's not a lot of boom/bust potential compared to other drafts in the top 6-10
Yes and no. Hawks' first will go to WC for Barrass but I suspect if the Hawks have someone high on their board, they could use their 2025 1st to trade back in (circa Josh Weddle) to the teens. I can see the Hawks targeting Tobie Travaglia
Really hope Matt Whitlock falls down to our pick Darcy Moore needs help no murphy has fucked us hard Moore can get back to 2023 form with someone on his shoulder he can trust who can possibly 1v1 a McKay in the future while he goes and intercepts and slingshots from half back to the wing
North are stacked with Midfielders mate. After this year though there's going to be a refined number of them from retirements, trades and delistings. After that and only that can North justify another Midfielder. However that isn't their primary need moving forward as its a KPF they need with another KPD.
@@ShadowLight-kn7rl You're not confusing flankers & wingers with midfielders are you? Aside from rucks, North's true mids are Davies-Uniake, Wardlaw, Phillips, Sheezel (emerging), Simpkin (who is better suited as a flanker/winger), Shiels (retiring), Greenwood (retiring) and Thomas (delisted). Scott, McKercher, Powell, Stephens, Tucker & Lazzaro are winger/flankers. Now re-evaluate accordingly mate. North will jump ALL OVER a midfielder if they hold pick 1-3 at the draft.

This channel brings the goods. Straight up.
You flatter me sir!
Love em Daz
You have Geelong as one of the clubs in the market Berry. Struggling to see that myself, especially when their midfield is dependent on an ageing HBF.
With such a midfield heavy draft, the Cats are in line to trade their future first IF they don't land Smith

geelong definitely don’t need a small forward, not sure why u have put them as a chance to draft joe berry

I don't reckon there's a hope that he's there in the second. Would struggle to be there at Pick 15 I reckon!
Nice work Daz. Even though it’s a strong draft, where do the top 6 or so that everyone is struggling to split rank against prior drafts?

good stuff Daz, what do you Hawks will give up to get Tom Barass?
2024 1st Rd pick + 2025 2nd for Barrass and a 2025 3rd is my guess
I had a dream last night of Collingwood trading into the first round this year to get Jack Whitlock
I'm normally all over the Mocks. However, as a Hawks supporter, I doubt we'll have much to do by the time Draft Night rolls around.
Am I wrong Daz??🎉

matt whitlock is at least 3 years away from being AFL ready bro
