Thank you so much for this video! What is the color of the Benjamin Moore Stain in the middle (top)? The video shows the base, however, it doesn't mention the color name. Thank you!

What about for an 1870s Victorian that has the original cedar siding? The paint is chipping and I don't want to sand and paint every 6-7 years. I'd like to go with a stain - I'm assuming the more durable stain is better for older wood?

Thank you for your question! Not sure where you're located but we can always come out for a site visit to help. We have experts across New England.
We would recommend using a high quality oil based primer and a premium topcoat (Solid Stain or Paint) for optimum durability and longevity. If you'd like more specific help, please visit ringsend.com and use our chat to speak with an in-house paint expert. I have pasted some product recs below!

Hello. Thanks for the video. What is the color of the semi solid at the bottom center? Also, is there a difference in the appearance and sheen of semi solid oil vs water based? Thanks!

Good Morning James, thank you for your patience! The color of the bottom center is Benjamin Moore Oxford Brown. To answer your additional question, you will certainly find the oil to give you a richer finish than the water-based product. Thank you for watching!

Hi @vincevohn804 , thank you for watching! We recommend using @benjaminmoore c085 which is a premium all-purpose oil primer. It is white. You can use it as is, or get it tinted which would provide extra hide if your surface needs that. Let us know if you have any additional questions! You can use the link below to learn more and shop, we ship nationwide!
