It's a manual Transmission with a Supercharger kit. This truck is amazing in every way except the exhaust. It sucked.

Id of thrown the supra right on the lift, pulled the motor out, and right into the truck with a bigger 3 inch exhaust. LoL. Awesome work! 👍👍
First time seeing this channel. I had a 2006 manual extended cab like that, with a 3inch banks exhaust and it had such a nice sound. this looks like the 4cyl, mine was the 4l V6 but they really are a great truck, sold mine at just over 120 000 miles and was still going strong, was just time for a change. Great job guys, sounds great!

I actually liked it more without resonator... But I can agree that it is much softer to add one... My last car needed 2 large ones to be quiet, knocking it to a side exit cat back, oh yeah, loud.
Oddly enough, it sounds like Paul Walker's Eclipse in the first Fast and the Furious.

Very nice. However, I think, I would have straighten out the exhaust towards the rear bumper and cutout a piece under the bumper to make it sort of flushed.

Looked great but not sure i like the sound of that muffler you made the right call on adding the resonator. I'm sure those headers played a big part on that exhaust note aswell.

Great work, good call on the resonator! Had it been mine I would have gone with an oval tip I think it would have worked better with the rear quarter of the truck.

Hey guys,i have a 95 accord ex sedan that i have swapped to a F20b dohc vtec w a 2t4t lsd trans. i have a PLM Y Header and am looking for a nicer header w maybe a few more hp. I was looking at the PLM Ramhorn long tube header. Id like your opinon on what u think makes the most power. the car is egr and cat deleted w 2.5" exhaust w a vibrant muffler. Thanks in advance for your advice.

Everyone knows gen 1 Tacos are the best, then gen 2's have weird body lines are look excessively bulky like gen 3's imo. Great fab work and job nonetheless.

@@user-pd9vm9ts1o yes and no, the supercharger is a good fit, however that specific bracket is for the 2TR. gotta make a custom bracket and/or tensioner/ilder
G, they make a supercharger specifically for the 2/3rz. And it's a real supercharger not half a turbo with a gearbox.
@@camyota the magnuson positive displacement supercharger makes less horsepower per psi than a comparable centrifugal supercharger. plus with the centrifugal you can use the stock intake manifold which is a better design than the magnuson (incorporated into supercharger) or you can build a front facing intake manifold like 2jz's, RB's, S54 etc. And it allows you to use a big ass intercooler which you could never use with a positive displacement supercharger. only advantage of the positive displacement supercharger is how much torque you make down low.

Where I could find a supercharger for my 1988 Ford ranger custom 2.3l 4-cylinder
Actually super easy, just get a 2.3 out of the turbo svo mustang merkur xr4ti or thunderbird turbocoupe internals are forged compared to the regular 2.3 in the ranger, should be relatively bolt in and even with the turbo provided its watercooled and you let it cool down for 2-5 min before shutting off will be very reliable, I had a 1988 thunderbird turbocoupe with that engine and turbo was the original ihi turbo and I drove that for 2 years always abusing it, got 30mpg highway lugging around 3900 lbs (car weight plus driver and some stuff in the trunk) and around 20-25 city mpg...a few people have done an m90 supercharger by just making a plate to bolt it on the lower intake manifold flange or by putting on the exhaust side to run the intake piping for an air/air intercooler to maintain factory intake manifold set up

All motors burn oil if you abuse them. I have 3 different Toyota motors currently (1zz, 1nz, 2tr) and no oil burning.

Eric Smithers Wow, So much hate. I personally like to see a vehicle someone has tastefully modified to their own taste. Then to see something with 200+k miles that is actually driven daily is the impressive part.
Looks like the owner added the x-brace used on the X-Runner. Also, the factory supercharger was an option, and not all X-Runners come factory with one. I know mines didn't. My personal opinion, this guy has a nice setup.
