Kitties will usually more likely come to you if you hold your hand out to them and softly coo at them or make kissy noises (: they appreciate calm and quiet! It's a much different body language than dogs which is why it can be hard for dog people to understand them. Rascal seemed very curious about Harlow though a little startled at times 🤣
Cats are the lazy person's dog. I don't have the energy to walk a dog, play with a dog, chase a dog. But I am single and get lonely so I have a cat. Easy to clean up after, she doesn't make messes, and she sleeps most of the time. Good for a cuddle, a reminder when I need to take my meds, and just plain sweet. I had to take her to the vet last week, she got really sick, and she was so patient, didn't hiss or hide.
Rachel Martin I think of them as an introverts pet, because I love dogs but they’re too needy, I need space too, cats drop in to see you in small bits throughout the day.

Just is amazing I have an amazing boyfriend too. He doesn't coddle me either and understands. It's truly amazing to feel that way. When we go out and I'm having issues with my vision or Ballance he offers his elbow and if I'm off balance he locks my arm to his body so I don't fall. He walks slower with me when I need it and has offered to help me recover from some of the surgeries I've had. It's amazing when you find that type of person. 🙂
I'm so glad you got to see family you don't get to see often! I laughed when I saw Harlow with the cat toys! It reminded me when my father-in-law's dog came to the house and was playing with our cat toys!

I feel bad too. I deliver food for a living but i can barely make it up high rises because i am out of breath but i am carrying a delivery bag up stairs too. Sometimes the stairs are steep. Lot of high rises in Tampa. It kills my arthritis. I have to take a week off work resting as I am dizzy and almost faint or my legs collapse under me. I hate driving I-10. I think it needs to be expanded to 3 lane. I drive up us 19 to Tallahassee on my way to Pensacola and onto mobile when I visit my mom. a 12 hour drive with stops for me and my service dog from Tampa Bay.

Cats are entirely different from dogs in temperament, personality, and behavior. Once you understand those things, there is no better companion than a cat. My two Siamese are beside me constantly. Nothing standoffish about them at all.
It's unfortunate how many relationships fall apart due to chronic illness, men like ours are few and far between... Unconditional love is the only explanation for those relationships that are truly for better or worse, in sickness and in health... A love like no other!
I love that your hubby says to get yourself upstairs and he brought the other stuff in. Mine is the same way every week when we go grocery shopping. ❤️

I used to be extremely allergic to cats, but after my roommate got one years ago I built up an immunity. 10+ years later I'm happily owned by 5 amazing rescue kitties and a self proclaimed cat lady haha 😻😻 Fun vlog!!
I often help take care of my brothers cat, definitely a typical cat but with a few dog-like qualities. She knows her name, and is super playful and enjoys attention when she isn’t napping. Generally though cat behavior is very different so if you go in thinking in terms of dog behavior, you’re not going to have the results you expect. If you’re looking for something more chill, cats are A+

I was just in Tallahassee twice in the past two weeks. We drove down from St. Louis to Miami for a cruise and Tallahassee was one of our overnight stops. We drove down the gulf side of Florida and weren't to far away from you on the way down and on the way back. Talk about a long trip. I don't think I'll ever do that again lol. I'm still recovering and dealing with pain. The trip was awesome because I was with my brother, sister and brother in law. We had a great time on the cruise. I will definitely fly if I ever go out of Miami again!

8:45 I had a well trained labrador for years before I got my first cat, and I had the same problem, the cat doesn't listen to anything you say. Not that they don't understand, but they just don't do it unless they want to. It felt so weird for a while because you thought your pets supposed to listen.

When Harlow was picking up the cat toy and Judd clamped his fingers on her nose and mouth just so you know a dogs nose is extremely sensitive they have tons of tiny capillaries that can get damaged and destroyed ...once thats done it will affect their sense smell ...and taste ......!

I was wondering - when did you decide to get Harlow and be a team? I have a special needs son who has cerebral palsy and seizures. I’ve been thinking about looking into a dog for him that could help with his balance, alert to seizures, and help with daily living skills but I don’t know when I should look into this or if I should wait. Curious to know your thoughts.
I remember hearing a vet say that burping was a good sign because it makes the dog less prone to bloat. My Chinese Crested burps after eating, but it's cute when she does it.

Litter boxes, both for cats and rabbits (more so rabbits), are the biggest mess of all. Nasty job.

Arizona's I-10 is just as bad. Just a bunch of dirt, and dust, and nothing on the stretch I drive.

I’ve been thinking about looking into a dog for him that could help with his balance, alert to seizures, and help with daily living skills but I don’t know when I should look into this or if I should wait. Curious to know your thoughts.

My sister’s cat Zoey, was good. Tucker tolerated her. Her current cat, Watson, is a crazy ninja. Tucker, doesn’t like him.

I remember hearing a vet say that burping was a good sign because it makes the dog less prone to bloat. My Chinese Crested burps after eating, but it's cute when she does it.
The cat is adorable. However, they won't normally come if you say come.
Rachel Raybould “here, Kitty, Kitty” or calling their name works better. My cats come immediately (not to the word “come” though lol). My cats actually come a whole lot quicker than my service dog did, but my service dog had a much bigger body lol.
