- Celebrated black Friday by buying nothing but burgers and beer at The Brick (of Northern Exposure fame) then greeted by a light show outside...and a mash-up idea after watching the episode "Northern Lights" last night. Thanks to Roslyn and The Brick (and CBS - don't sue us. You too, Enya).

The best show there ever was.
Except for season 6. They butchered the ending.

Northern Exposure was my favourite show when I was 14, and Enya was one of my favourite artists when I was 14.. this was a magical moment for me, back in 1992...

Great show.........and Chris is one of my favorite TV characters ever. You might have guessed this video cut out some of Chris' comments about light......Goethe's final words: "More light." Ever since we crawled out of that primordial slime, that's been our unifying cry: "More light." Sunlight. Torchlight. Candlelight. Neon. Incandescent. Lights that banish the darkness from our caves, to illuminate our roads, the insides of our refrigerators. Big floods for the night games at Soldier's field. Little tiny flashlight for those books we read under the covers when we're supposed to be asleep. Light is more than watts and foot candles. Light is metaphor. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet. Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Lead, Kindly Light, amid the encircling gloom Lead Thou me on! The night is dark, and I am far from home- Lead Thou me on! Why did this show always make me smile?
The "real"ending to one of my favorite episodes of my favorite show used to be here...just like they say "nothing good ever lasts"...but we remember...

Hey Michael Falcone I'm envious lol. I hope to visit Roslyn myself someday. I think a whole bunch of people misunderstood your very cool tribute and the fact that you were there in the actual brick eating burgers and watching a light show in the town that played the starring role of Cicely. Thanks for sharing that and taking all the time to splice in music and merge together our reality with that of another creation. Good job. Ed would be proud and Chris would broadcast an upbeat review over the airways that can only be heard in the Northern Exposure Zone.

do you have all of the original “let there be light sequence”by Chris? The lights on vehicles you put in are interesting by I loved the odd lamps and bits of light that Chris put together

Love this show. Y'all killed it with the editing though
we do this kind of parade in Lansing every year. it is called Silver Bells. Northern Exposure, you are invited! google Lansing MI events for the 2018 dates. we also light the Christmas tree on the state Capitol lawn. Usually cold, so bundle up. Music is the marching bands from local schools and barbershop quartet singing societies on the street corners. Come and celebrate the season of lights with us in Lansing, MI!

Christmas is exactly what I imagined the first time I saw this episode. Northern Exposure changed my life.
this original scene from NE was one of the best marriages of music and film ever produced.
I would give anything to see the original. With all of the lights Chris collected. My mom loved this show and I remember even at like 10 years old this scene leaving me speechless. Eyes and mouth both wide open. I was too young to care about or understand the storyline but it still somehow clung to my soul like Static electricity was pouring from the old console television. Only years later when I heard Enya again did it spark that memory that led me directly to eBay to purchase every season on DVD.

Not a joke dude. This person is just sharing an incredible cool experience of eating burgers and drinking beer at the actual Brick in Roslyn, WA and then walked outside to find a holiday light show going on. Man I would like to take a little trip out that way. Making a mix between the too I think was something very clever.
