- Our Northern Exposure trip to Cicely Alaska (Roslyn Wa) reliving the greatest tv series ever. A fun trip and lots to see, and to feel the ghosts of Joel, Maggie, Ed, Maurice, Holling, Chris, Shelley, Marilyn and the gang. NE was on TV 1990-1995 and we have the whole series on dvd. The town looks the same and it is a wonderful vacation. The Brick had a shuffleboard table, and great beers.
Wow. I haven't been in Roslyn since I was a kid, back in 1989, when I was falling in love with a new TV series, about the lives of folks in Cicely, Alaska...
Sorry my bad English, I'm Italian. I saw your video and it was amazing. I loved the TV series. The sweetest and most poetic TV series ever made. Thank you
Anch'io sono italiano. In Italia, trovare qualcuno che conosca questa magnifica serie, è unmiracolo
The sweetest and most poetic TV series ever made was Titus.
Couldn't agree more! So cool people in other countries got to see it
Your english is just fine.
Thank you so much for these beautiful memories. 😍 I live in Poland and I am a fan of Northern Exposure ❤️
bardzo dobrze
I am from Split Croatia. For me Cicely Alaska is the most beautiful story. Our olds from Dalmatia are also part of Roslyn culture year 1908...This all town is museum and that is also beautifull.
Just watching again the series, one of my favorite childhood serie, thank you. Greetings from Hungary😉
Was just there last week, neat little town
Visited there 4 years ago. Was a blast. Grinned like an idiot. The Brick was closed, but workers at the back door invited us in to take pictures. My hound dog peed on the trash can at the front steps, in his defense he really had to go, no disrespect intended!
Thanks for the visual road trip. That's as close as I will ever get to actually going there. Thank you SO much. Loved the show.
Love Northern Exposure.
Love Roslyn.
Love this video.
I was in 2010 and 2011 and remember the experiencie like a wonderful dream come true.
Greettings from Spain.
Just wow! I had no idea the town was a real place. Thanks 😊
Roslyn Washington
I watched this yesterday. The end credits rolled by and I watched this exactly 11 years later. Thanks for the memories! Sitting with my momma laughing our butts off. The only show where everyone was our favorite character. And now Marilyn is going to be in The Last Of Us the series.
Awesome video. We just visited Roslyn today for the first time. It was a pretty cool trip. My husband and I love the show. Thanks for posting.

Thankyou for sharing this video. I'm a huge fan of the show. Probably won't ever get to see the place in real life so was lovely to see through your eyes. G'day from Australia 🇦🇺
Northern exposure is a feel good TV series Luv it !
Thanx for the video, it's great to get out to see the town of "Cicely" Roslyn WA.
Very cool though. Loved the series. Also have it on DVD.
I loved the show as a kid, and only got to stop briefly in Roslyn on the way to Disneyland, in '89. It's nice to see what "Cicely" looked like twenty years on...
Beautiful. I love this.
Я люблю этот фильм! Смотрела его 30 лет назад. И вот уже несколько дней как опять смотрю! Прекрасные актёры! Я как на машине времени перенеслась на 30 лет назад! Спасибо!
I can't wait to visit! It's my fav show!
Cicely in my mind ..greetings .from barcelona, spain
Thank you. Very enjoyable.
Loved it! Thank you!
Well you need to put it on your bucket list. We have the whole series on DVD too. Cicely Alaska - a wonderful destination.
It's worth keeping a DVD player just to be able to watch this
Thanx for this video tour down the memory lane of childhood. Loved the show. Lovely city.
Jesse, Seth & I were there last year and LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT :)
Thanks for sharing this! Also, love your “soundtrack.” 😀
I think we were there in 2011. July. Didn't get to stay but a couple of hours. The couple we were with didn't want to stay.
One of my favorites!! Visited Roslyn , was awesome. Ate at the Brick
Can I just say this is a great video. Thank you. in 1996-ish I visited Roslyn . great experience. It was a warm sunny day and in about 10 minutes it suddenly got very cold and windy. Great memory. The lady who had bought dr. Fleiscmans office was very upset at me for taking picture in there...but other than that what a neat place. Thank you. ( Did you shoot a video of the twin peaks town while you were in the area?)
Nice that you didn't add narration! Wonderful video. Thanks.
its so beautiful out there
thank' s!!!!
That was great!! Wow!!
MarilynNo1 Thanks - you should visit there while it still looks like Cicely (Roslyn is growing steadily and commercializing.)
That is a dream of mine!
Thank you, this was so nice. I am disabled and can no longer walk, this was very thoughtful of you to share with me (us). :D Are you the talented musician? @2:11 - those are coal cars that were used in the boom years.
In 90s i thinking that was in alaska🙂but that was in washington
Oh this is so special. Yeah I still think to this day was the best show ever made, I don't think they'll top it. Have they turned this into a tourist town have they?
No. A few tourists will drive in, but not a lot. It’s just a cool little town.
Quite the drive around. Is it a town still or a small city? Yeah, it can take a person back when they used to watch it. Thanks.
It’s a small little town, still. I go there often. My good friend has a place, there.
northern exposure was filmed there
I'm probably showing my ignorance, but what is the eaves-trough with running water in it (beneath the feet of the patrons sitting at the bar) in THE BRICK for?
Was wondering the same thing, but at least you knew what it was haha Still wondering...
It is a spittoon.
@@medmark77 Thanks! Inquiring minds want to know…. :-)
Loved shelley tambo Ruth Ann rob morrow all crew
Great video tour! Now my wife and I want to visit Roslyn.
Btw, does anyone know where the fictional town of Cicely is supposed to be located? Is it north of Fairbanks, or south?
why is there water running in the bottom of the bar?
One person said it was a spitoon.
👍🇺🇲❤
Roslyn Washington
😎💚
Is the cafe any good ?
oh yeah with spacecake it is amazzzing
It's missing the little ('s)!
That was added just for the TV show. Apparently, it's been returned to its original.
My understanding is that "Cicely Alaska" is Actually somewhere in Washington state.
Yes roslyn Washington
Norther Exposure was not filmed in Alaska but the Pacific Northwest. Snohomish I think.
Welcome to the Communist state of Washingtom!!!! LET'S GO BUY SOME DRUGS!!!
The scenes inside of THE BRICK weren’t actually from inside the Brick, they were from a studio in Redmond Washington…
