It's even better since any ad spots are easy to skip and you can watch it anywhere, without any janky "watch the TV you're already paying for on something other than your TV" crap, for free. It could only be better if they could come up with skits instead of doing straight up ad reads, but it's really a small con since they're rare anyway.

It will be better for car enthusiasts, I guess. Honestly, I watch topgear for Geremy Clarkson's jokes and some excellent places they visit. I don't care about the cars, mostly because most of them don't sell in India or because I can't afford them.

I had a 207 cc once and paid 2 grand for it , total shitheap of a car, everything fell apart after 6 months, the gearbox mounting collapsed and clutch broke at same time, so i had to flog it off to we buy any car at a loss , avoid French cars

@@gabriellimberger7526 Yeah they are fun to drive i had the old 206 gti years back was very fast but one day hit a pot hole too fast and coolant started leaking out all down the road, engine instantly overheated off the scale and sadly never recovered, they are just made with such cheap materials, Renault and Citroen are the same too lol

I’m always shocked when I realize how easy is in GB to get dirt cheap decent cars. In Italy a car like that with issues like that would cost no less than 1200/1300€ (that’s about 1Grand)

We have had numerous government scrappage schemes to get 'older' cars and cars less than certain quite recent euro standards for engines off the road, schemes that will have seen cars nicer than this scrapped, and I think that contributed to the cars left being worth no more than their scrap value.
Government sells it to the population as 'for the environment' seemingly not realising that little of half of the car is actually recycled and how much energy is required to build new ones, but that's only one way they regularly show their stupidity.

It's either clogged radiator or a thermostat problem that is the problem. That was the most common problem I saw when working on them in a used car dealership. Hope it helps guys
Yeah Probably just a bad thermostat explains why the temperature went up once and then didn't go up again when they tested it
Pretty sure its the fan. Had the exact same problem in my old 206. The seller said it happened when he parked it running and when he got back to it it was overheating. Common problem on these.

@@danishlalahero sticking thermostat. If it sticks closed that is.
Or air in the system as these TU engines are pretty hard to bleed the coolant. Pushing in the clutch and revving it will clear the temp indication.
But with a half empty bottle in the back, I'm going to go with head gasket which is a common problem with them too.

A had one of those years back - it was in Peugeots amazing blue, has a engine swap with the engine of a 206 gti, some nice mods, was lowered and hat some nice rims. The electronic was changed and some mechanics updated, so you could open and close the roof while driving (slowly). It was an amazing little car, and quite quick...

My car was listed for 3500€ and I got it for 3000. I think negociating is an important part of a sale. A car dealer will always try to get as much money out of you as possible. Also many private sellers don't know shit what they're talking about and will ask for much more than it's worth. The best deals you get are from old grandmas/grandpas cars, that sat in a garage with low milage.
Then you're overpaying.
A lot of people add a bit to their asking price because someone will almost always try to lower it.

Hopefully it will last her a few months for £300 what can yo expect, i paid £600 for mine and was lucky to get a year out of it, the main reason we all have to buy these cheap cars is very few of us can get the finance for a new one now , even though its the banks who got us into the mess of the last recession not exactly fair

£300 bangers are underrated. Just bought an 18 year old Daihatsu Cuore and it’s a lot of fun! It’s great having a car that you don’t give a crap about, you can just park it anywhere and no worries whatsoever!

I have a 206 1,4i myself, and before I got it I knew nothing about fixing cars, but can I say you don't need knowledgde about fixing cars when you have a 206, because it's so easy to fix, like yesterday I had a red lamp saying STOP and an engine light blinking, I changed the spark plugs and it runs like a dream again.

Car Throttle, do more of this and also, separate challenges. Each one of you to get a small sum of money, set up a theme or some challenges at the end and compete with the bought cars.
206 CC 1.6 engine is normal to shoot over 90 when stationary, all petrol engines rely on air passing radiator, and run hot in traffic and/or hot day at low speeds -- that's when cooling fan kicks in.

If it overheats at idle, but not when you're moving, it's the fan relai or fan temp switch.
Could also be a hairline crack on the gasket, but you would see bubbles in the overflow after killing the engine.
As a former two times 206CC owner... I REALLY loved that video. And if you need advice (you won't) feel free to ask. First advice: DO NOT play with the hardtop too much (normal use is ok). And AVOID stopping the closing/opening procedure halfway. Parts of the system are a bit expensive when it fails and Peugeot fixes it but can be fixed easily with a bit of DIY knowledge.
Also... check the radio antenna mounting for water leaks.

Just unplug the temp sencor by the thermostat housing and plug it back in. My 206 said it was overheating, when it really wasn't, unplugged, plugged back in and it's been fine for close to two years now
got the issue with mine, the part that you'll probably have to replace is the thermostat that is probably locked in closed position (that's why it's leaking cooling liquid and heating a bit), the part costs about 100€ here in France, i think you'll get it fixed without any problem !

We get dirt cheap cars, but insurance is a killer for the first few years. That’s the problem.... and our fuel prices 😅
16 year olds can insure Mustangs and massive pick ups in the states though 😭
As others have said, insurance fuel and sometimes road tax are dear here. It's also worth noting that cars last less because of wet weather leading to rust and rot.

TH-cam is funny, in the videos on the right here it has, the Top Gear episode "Modern Peugeot Driver".
I've had a bunch of 206s. And I race a 206 GTI180 (RC) and they all tend to run hot. This is a TU5 engine which is a brilliant engine. I had one that would run at 90 and idle at 96. Never went higher but. Just ran hot.
My car was off the road for a few months last year, so I bought a cheap replacement to last me. For £250 I got a Ford Focus 1.4 3 Door with under 80k on the clock and 10 months MOT. This was a part ex at a local garage that I found on Auto Trader. It was without issues, but it was fine for a few months.
What a perfect timing! I was shopping for a convertible this week, found 206cc for anywhere between 1000 pounds and even upto 1500 pounds. All had faults, the most expensive one even didn't properly roll down the rear windows... (I do not live in the GB, I am from Czechia.)
So I went and bought 207cc (2009 made, 116k km, reasonably serviced in Germany) for 3000 pounds... hope it lasts, time to change the oil, plugs, filters, .. tomorrow!

206 have problems with temp sensor. Had one and it went right over the scale after short drive. Never overheated
