Simple logic. I've been saying this for years every time I hear about how much more valuable the notches are compared to convertibles. Almost EVERY version of convertible is worth more than its hardtop counterpart, unless of course it's a limited edition or has special performance enhancements. Very old saying is that when the top goes down, the price goes up. Circumstances dictate that not as many are made compared to run of the mill hardtops. They were always considered a "lifestyle" car from the get go, not for everyone. That's ok, let them keep ignoring the verts, lol that will make it easier for those of us who recognize their future value to take advantage....

I just picked up an 89 convertible bright red with white leather manual 49,500 miles....documented....and under 20,000....survivor. It is a time capsule. I love it.

Ive had Notches, Hatches and verts. Verts are my favorite by far. Most of the guys hating on verts say they are not good for racing but have stock hatches or no Fox at all.

I actually just bought a 1990 vermillion red gt convertible a couple months ago. A bit of a project, but in pretty decent condition. I've been fixing it up, so this was like the perfect video for me to watch

I just saw the "I love Flowmasters" part of the video. I see so much hate for them on the internet it's crazy. I have had a ton of different mufflers on fox bodies (Pypes, SLP, Dynomax, Mac, Hooker, Spintech, etc.)... After running all of them, I just picked up a set of Flowmasters. It's the classic fox body sound. As soon as my tailpipes come in, I can't wait to take the SLP's off and put the Flowmasters on!

Just bought an 89 LX vert for 5 gs, so glad I bought one. I get the LX 5.0 without it being expensive, gotta do some things it really clean

I found a 92 5.0 LX Vert in Wild Strawberry with a Monster AOD and3.73s. I paid 5k for it with 112k miles. I repainted it, supercharged it, put 17” ponies on it, explorer intake, injectors, tb, and mass air.

@@GearHead704 if you ever make up to the mountains of NC, you are welcome to take it out for a drive. During the summertime we do monthly cruise ends in West Jefferson where we get a few hundred cars showing up. We would always like to see a Tar Heel blue foxbody up here.

I just found a 1983 3.8 glx convertible. 86k original miles polar white paint. Kept up and under a tarp on a farmers' property. Paid 4900 its product unit number 04508 from 83. I drove it 350 miles home. i found a gold nugget ✨️

Man have the price of these cars jumped in the past few years. I picked up a fairly clean and stock 92 feature edition for 3800. I always wanted a convertible figured I'd snag one while they're still affordable. Btw love the channel and keep up the good work

Love verts, Just bought a 38,000 mile all original car pic in my profile 1 of 32 in this trim 1988 all org paint medium shadow blue metallic it is aod car but transgo shift kit manual valve body 430 gear this car is so fun and yes all stock exhaust with flowmasters 44s all the best..:.

My first car was a 92 white on white gt vert. I loved that car! The only complaint I had was that it was always noise inside.

Great looking car, but why the black door edge guards on such a clean repaint?
The paint guy messed up the driver side edge and would not fix it. So I had to make both side match..

Got my 92 gt vert five speed vermilion red for $3500 in Dec one owner 82,500 orginal miles been sitting under a car port since 98 put new fuel tank and fuel pump fired right up

Not denigrating the Dynomod, I had one go out after Mark V111 fan with the temp sensor in the return hose at the radiator. Figured the heat build up before the fan came on was the issue. Relocated the TFI to the fender with a new Dynomod, no issues after a year of good weather driving. If I had put the sensor in the thermostat radiator hose to come on when the thermostat opened it might have been okay. Dynomod has a little more dwell built in if I understand correctly.
Interesting, I don't know much about the diamond.

A few friends had convertibles, I'd love one! This one in the video is beautiful! Pearl is the nicest! Especially with blue flip. $6,500 is a damn good price. Their value is only going to go up! I had flowmasters on My '86 GT(with off road exhaust). I'm a Borla Guy.
I'm pondering a few "fixer uppers" My co worker has a 1988 LX convertible .. it was a gt at one point. Lots wrong with it. A few others on market place.
Definitely get one if you can. This one is so clean and he got it a great price. I actually like Borla as well, probably my 2nd choice.

I stupidly let go a 1993 Reef Blue 5spd with black top/black interior. Mint condition with 106k original miles. Mileage wasn't a big deal but that car would be worth quite a bit I suppose. Had an unexpected doctor bill pop up so it was the Vert or the GT hatch that had to go.

It is actually a under the seat bracket. I reworked so it would mount to the old radio side bracket.

Have a white 91 GT Convertible, black anniversary wheels, polished lip. Auto with reprogrammed valve body and 4:10 gears. Completely stock engine down to air box. Have p/p GT40 heads and Explorer intake. If I put these on will it hurt the value?
Those are great mods. I'd say it would probably hurt it a little bit, but you can always go back to stock if you so desire. Generally from what I see stock holds the most value, but it's also not very fun.

Believe it or not guy's I brought My 1988 mustang GT convertible 5 speed car for $75 bucks no that not a typo $75 US dollars although a theft recovery it was stolen for the drive train as well as Interior. But the body and top is complete. Now hear me out fox body guys' I've since aquired a 351w Marine engine for $250 buck's a T5 transmission for $45 dollar's and a complete brand new interior from a totalled out 90 vert for $120 dollar's I'm looking for a complete wire harness front to back some 351w swap header's and oil pan and some nice wheels to get the old school boy's n The Hood wheels off'of There LoL any of you out there with any of that stuff please email me. I would imagine they aren't very sought after because of their weight, lack of chassis stiffness. Also, I've never liked them because of their tendency to leak.

I paid $5,000 for my coupe 2.5 years ago, so if you know anything about Nemesis that should give you a good idea. It's always hard to say for sure without seeing it myself, but it doesn't sound off to me.

It was about the best time to buy a convertible foxbody and how they are undervauled but this was almost 3 years ago so I doubt its relevant anymore

The autos get a lot of hate for sure. I believe he said he's going with a manual transmission though or maybe he told me that off video, I can't remember.
I'm going to be installing a performance automatics street shift kit on mine in the future. I'll let you all know if it makes a big improvement.
