My sister literally gave me Letting Go for Christmas. So awesome to see it's impacted you strongly, and the message is so key: to need is to scare away that which you seek. Thanks for the vid Matt!

What you said in this video is actually what I learned this past year as well to overcome OCD. Essentially what you need to understand is that the only thing you can really influence is the way you react to your thoughts. But you can‘t control your thoughts and the feelings that come with the thoughts. Just feel the feelings and let the thoughts come and go on the their own terms. Don‘t try to rush the thoughts or make them go away by distracting yourself etc.

I really appreciated this video. I have had many many storms brewing in my head that are just so unnecessary, and letting go is just such a comforting concept. Thanks Matt once again, keep making these videos man.

I have just moved back home to my family after completing university. Noticed I argued a lot with my family members. I told myself i need to let arguments pass because it does not matter in the long run. Hearing you talk about letting go solidifies it for me. I WILL be more forgiving with people around me, especially cuz somethimes, its actually due to my incompetence and i get too riled up to think clearly (the sky metaphor is pretty good). Letting it pass is definitely a skill i need to re-learn and practice in my life. I wish to get this book and the other books you recommend. Keep up the good work Matt!

when you realize how powerful your mind is at controlling your thoughts, which control how you feel, which affect your life as a whole, you can use that to create a mental passage through the chaos and break out of that line of negative thinking, which will change how you feel, which will change your life. the key is to do it often enough, and consistent enough, that it becomes a habit and your new normal. once that happens, your life will already begin to improve and you wont even need to work for it anymore, it will just come because you've created a positive feedback loop.
You'll have your ups and downs, but once you learn to master your mind, you can master anything.

"What the hell does that even mean" haha. Great intro. Letting go is a mystery in the end. From my experience, letting go happens gradually after enough frustration, pain, struggle, etc. has happened...when you reach the realization that it's time to let go. There's no time frame, everyone has to go at their own natural pace. Mindfulness helps, the book 30 Days to Stop Giving a Sh*t by Corin Devaso helped me, as did the Tao Te Ching.

Hey bro, it’s easier said than done, you can’t just let things go. Cause things will brew in your head for years and just constantly build up. All you can control is the way your life is going by the way you react to different things that are going on around you. Good or bad, that’s your decision.

But and I’ve been getting so many thoughts thinking is it gonna get subs or views or get people to support my journey. And this video help me knowing I need to just let go and just make videos even if I don’t get much views.

This video suits my problem with me being attached to the SR Benefits, please read:
If your trying to prevent Wet Dreams and your still getting them twice/once a week and u did everything u can do to prevent them then the problem is you. Because u r foucing on trying to prevent them meaning (getting ride of something that u can't control) so basically:
    Prevent = I don't wanna have a wet dream.
And u get one. This is life if u prevent something it will happen just like a panic attack.
So because ur obsessed about it, it will happen and its a relapse cause its not ur body getting ride of too much juice or old sperm....nah u made that wet dream because of your thoughts so yes u lose benefits. Now u want a solution? Okay, the only solution is to not think. Its hard cause what if I tell DONT THINK OF THE PINK ELEPHANT see u just did so there is no solution.
If u read that then all of that represents me am suffering for a year, a whole year with OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder related to semen retention) of trying to not have sexual thoughts, wet dreams, precum.......... its because I experienced the benefits and got too attached. Am hurt since 2023 tomorrow is 2024.

hey matt, good luck in your journey. the god has planned our lives the best way he could. every mistake is a lesson for improving. every self doubt thought is meant to help us overcome these thoughts and become a better person. even if we do not see the god’s plan and some of his choices seem not beneficial for us, we probably arent able to see it, we are only people. even if youtube doesnt turn out to be your full time career - you will provide for your family some other way. its the plan of god and i strongly believe he is taking care of us all. thank you for the video.

I won't versus I can't... this is so powerful. Something that occurred to me is that sometimes "I won't" is okay.
I won't be a professional basketball player because I want to build a family.
    That's okay, it's a reasonable conclusion.
I won't be a professional basketball player because I want to keep playing video games.
That isn't okay. You want to stay lazy and stay the same instead of improving yourself.
WHY won't you do something? That's the question. Hope someone finds this helpful
