Spot on with almost all of these. My back pack includes: abrolon pads (8 different grits) shoes, slide soles, micro fiber towel, shammy, puff ball, spare contact lenses, thumb tape, finger tape, storm GT tape, scissors, small cleaner bottles, bandages, athletic tape, new skin, tape knife, tape insert tool, slide stone, brush, super glue, small fan, water bottle, and importantly a note book. I have used all those things at one time or another.
Great list! Three non bowling items that I think are also must/should have products. The first one is a pen. Idk how many times I have to write something, or sign something. I keep two or three in my bag. I also keep an extra pair of socks, yes socks. I live in Fl, so it rains at random. I hate when my socks are wet and I know that I’m going to be at the alley for two to the three hours. I always keep an extra pair of socks in my bag. The next item is a small personal fan, something portable. Mine is 2ft by 2ft and I got for around $20 bucks. My alley tends to be hot at times and I sweat easily. So I make sure I have my fan at all times. Lastly, I have a small massage gun. I’m an active person who works out five days a week and I work in flooring. I am always sore, so I have a small massage gun I keep in my bag in case I have to use it
Another non-bowl must have item in your bag. I would say ibuprofen or Tylenol just in case you get a headache at the bowling alley not a lot of people keep that in their bag
DESK FAN!! water bottle ball cleaner note book and writing utensil nail clippers bandaids spare finger inserts+super glue + razor spare socks spare tee shirt towel (always bring a towel)
I keep a couple of pens and a marker , a set of nail clippers , and a small screwdriver ( it helps with placement of thumb tape in the hole. I also keep bandaids , super glue , and alcohol wipes .
Bowling toolkit, sanding pads, finger tape, thumb tape, travel size baby powder, shammy for wiping the oil off the ball, ball cleaner/spray, microfiber cloth for cleaning the ball, shoe covers, extra slide sock, rosin bag(s), ball cup... I think that is it for my bowling accessories.
I use a couple of $3 tackle boxes, you can find at Walmart or any store with fishing gear, to hold all my small accessories. Wen I bowled 1 hand I kept a roll of thumb tape for the ball, and a roll of flexible tape to put on thumb, nail clippers, scissors, new skin, super glue, rosin, easy slide, dry bag, a couple of towels, ball cleaner, scotch bright pads, sand paper, aspirin/ibuprofen, spare shoe strings, slide soles and heels, ball cup, etc etc. I now bowl 2 hand and use a golf glove, so I carry a couple of different gloves that fit in the holes differently.
I was going to comment that you should use the thumb holes that screw in, not the type that snap in using two wings. While they are easier to change, they fail and come out, your shot is messed up, and it causes you to lose the match. I have seen it many times and always check what type of thumb hole they are using. It is always wings. I have never seen a screw in come out, but they are harder to change sometimes on new balls due to tightness. But Mr. ZVL has an even better reason that I hadn't thought of or seen - losing your thumbhole! That is both destructive and costly. You might love that thumbhole fit and it is gone forever. Removable thumbholes are great technology, like removable soles, that revolutionized bowling (but less than balls and synthetic lanes). But the first time you get one you have to make the right choice because thereafter you must get the same type. I really like Mr. ZVL's voice and delivery. He could be a good narrator or radio announcer.
Back in the day for "new skin", we used Carpenter's Liquid Court Plaster which was essentially nitrocellulose lacquer in a tube. Not sure about the modern stuff, but I wouldn't be surprised if it is basically the same thing.
Great list, some of my favorite items to bring are a portable charger, (for my phone and fan), KT Tape for my wrist, and shoe balls, because after bowling even three games my shoes smell like if balls could shit.
I bowl on Mondays and Tuesdays. So on Monday I pack my bag with three fresh pair of white athletic socks. Of course, when you put on your bowling shoes you wear clean socks, not the socks you wore to the alley. I have the best bowling shoes - black Dexter SST 6s without junk BOA laces. I used to live down South so always bowl in shorts unless forbidden. I wear white crew socks because I don't like short ones. Black shoes with white socks and shorts makes me look goofy, but what can I do?
@EviLNox8 Good removable sole bowling shoes should last 15 years unless they use the BOA lacing system which only last about 3 years. Treat your bowling shoes with respect and don't make them stinky, always wear fresh socks.
Does the finger tape really help with increase revs? Obviously it is technique… all things being equal with Decent technique… does it actually help? Keep up the great work on TH-cam. I don’t miss an episode.
If the thumbhole is too loose you have to squeeze which hurts your shot. It needs to be tight enough that the ball holds your thumb until the release point when your thumb goes round and comes out smoothly.
Our Bowlero had a computer failure a month ago and it was an effing disaster. They knew the scores would be lost after the game so they emphasized to write it down quickly (I took a photo of the scores as soon as the game ended). Every two lanes had different scoring than usual, like the kind that show goofy graphics between shots. Our lanes showed PBA bowlers throwing the same leave between shots. But none of them had totals so I had to mark count like the old days so we knew who was winning. The intercoms didn't work. They couldn't change the scores at the front desk. The data didn't go to LeaguePals. I heard they were going to cancel bowling but it couldn't be done efficiently for 200 bowlers. So now I'm packing 120 old school scoresheets in my car in case the entire scoring system collapses. If it does then I will offer the league the choice of finding 20 scorers or going home.
One more item - playing cards for strike poker. Everyone on the team puts into the pot. You shuffle and spread the cards on the table. Every time you strike you get a card. If you get a spare or open you don't! That is failure and shouldn't be rewarded. If you get a strike in the 10th and you had one in the 9th (double) you are rewarded with two cards instead of one. If you get a strike in the 11th and you had one in the 10th that is two cards also. So if you triple in the 10th you get 4 cards, or 5 if you struck in the 9th. A 300 gets 14 cards and you typically win with that hand. We don't hide our cards since there is no bluffing. We trash talk each other's hands and laugh when they pull garbage. The multicard 10th frame is important because you want to extra motivate your team's performance in the 10th frame. And it works!
I bring a flashlight. Bowling alleys are getting darker and darker. It's a headband type so I can have both hands free. Vise finger tape is the best, over Storm and Genesis brands, as the others tacky surfaces comes off and needs to be changed.

Happy new year and Thanks for this amazing video🎉🎉
Did I like this video? It might be Mr. ZVL's best one.

I'm surprised you didn't mention a ball cleaner.
Aspirin, ball cleaners. I clean all of my rocks after each league or tournament. I do it at the center.
Where do you recommend bowling in Minnesota? I travel there often and sometimes itch to bowl
Advil, yup I’m old…
My low key accessory MVP is an extra pair of socks! You’re welcome!
I keep a spare pair of socks in my bowling bag too. 👍
I'm a new bowler, please explain why an extra pair of socks is good to have for bowling.

Not in my experience, it’s more for feel/comfort/hand health

I would add baby power in case you need help sliding. Also, a knife to apply thumb and tape nail clipper in case of hang nails or peeling skin
NO DO NOT USE BABY POWDER, It’s inconsiderate to other bowlers and can make them fall, use a slide stone so you don’t leave residue on the approach
Man stop with the baby powder. Get a slide stone they last forever and aren’t inconsiderate to everyone else.
