What I really like about this performance is that she almost seems to give Glinda some maturity. In the book, she's not the stereotypical dumb blonde that a lot of actresses seem to play her as. I like that here, she seems to have a sharp mind but just a ton of energy and doesn't know how to handle it
Wow. This captured performance is SO fresh and well-played. And, unsurprisingly, superbly sung. Gambatese's seasoned expertise is apparent here; a true leading lady, as an umpteenth replacement, creating something original.
I had the absolute pleasure of meeting her a few months ago, and let me tell you that she is incredible. Her energy and enthusiasm are authentic, on and off stage, and she’s insanely kind. Definitely one of my favorite performers ever
Out of all “Popular”s Alli Mauzey will always hold my #1 spot, but the reaction at 1:00 has to be THE FUNNIEST to any Glinda taking off Elphabas glasses ever 😭😭
