@@Emmie222_ And with my favourite Elphaba and Glinda Eden Espinosa and Megan Hilty. Eden mentioned that one time during Megan’s version of Popular she did three really deep knee bends when she was gonna do the BALLGOWN thing and on the third Bend she accidentally blew into her microphone which sounded like she farted and said to Eden “Excuse you Elphie!” The whole audience laughed and Eden’s shoulders were moving up and down so quickly cause she found it funny😂😂😂 Megan Hilty’s Glinda would be me if I wanted to make the people laugh
-Kristin going through all of this and adding in hilarrious ad libs(that book!) without breaking character even once. -Idina barely holding it together and breaking at the exact spots it would make sense for the character to break a smile or laugh a little. -To top it all off, the interaction in the end, it is natural to an extreme level. I actually believed that were the popular girl giving her unpopular bestie a genuine makeover. Those actresses are amazing.
No one delivers this number quite like her. She’s like a Madeline Kahn or Barbara Harris where she finds these laughs in the most unexpected moments and then you can’t imagine the laughs not being there until you see someone else.
I wish WISH WISH WISH I could have been there back in 2004, but I was too young hahaha Nothing and no one will ever beat the original cast Kristin and Idina forever
@@lookitsglinda thank you so much I was so sad it got taken of TH-cam I thought it was idina best performance but I also love how Kristen was crying while singing 😂
Sure, here it is! “I wrote a book: How to be popular. Now, I put together a top 10 list on how to help you. Elphie, every day- shower. Who knows, maybe some of that green might come off. Deodorant, Elphie. Nobody likes a stinky witch. I think we’ve covered the hair, we’ll get to that. Clean underclothes, that’s all I’m gonna say. Look at your posture, that’s no way to be popular! Bed made, room straightened, we’ve done that. Colors blended… (long pause) And the most important thing to have to make yourself popular… is to keep your beautiful smile.”

@@bradg2201 it's added yes. It's a common tradition in the theatre to try and get your fellow actors to corpse (break character or laugh) when it's your last night in a show. I worked on a production of Rocky Horror once and when the actor playing Frank left mid run was given the job of filming his last performance as we knew it would be hilarious. And it was. I don't think there was a single cast member who hadn't corpsed multiple times during the show. And of course the trick is to do it in such a way that the show still continues and makes sense for the audience
Hey! Bear with me,...your camera work leaves a lot to be desired, but you have the absolutely best audio of any vid 😮 I've seen, and that is what's important! Well done and thank you!👍
well given how it's an illegally recorded video, no one has copyrights to it except Broadway lol. Plus, the OG videos were removed by Broadway speaking of, and this person is trying to keep them around for us to view.
I really love how she just adds the lines that are not in the show and the way she delivers the role is so fantastic
Same!
I love how Idina isn't afraid to laugh at them
You gotta love how Idina tries to keep a straight face thoughout the whole number; but can't help cracking up.
Me too!
Same thing with Donna and alli mauzey with the copy that’s on yt x

“Why Mrs Elphi, look, you’re beautiful” the delivery on this is so pure genuine and clearly from her heart. I can’t 😌
ABSOLUTELY AGREED ❤ her making Elphi smile gave me such feelsss 😭
And her saying to keep your beautiful smile is so sweet🥹I genuinely felt the line
This was for them. We are lucky to have witnessed this.
so true im crying
i love how kristin is trying to make idina laugh through the whole thing and how it works.
she’s so funny
I love how Idina decided to break character for Kristin’s last show as Glinda. The chemistry these two had was definitely something else.
When did she break character?
@ When Kristin was giving her “tips” to improve Idina was laughing for real.
Kristin Chenoweth breaking Idina Menzel! I adore this to the moon and back. "Pink goes good with green." Indeed it does.

“Nobody likes a stinky witch” Kristen Chenoweth is an icon lmao
I often use that line whenever I need to go upstairs to shower or when my mom asks if I remembered to put on deodorant.
What a gem to have! Thank you for sharing.
She is a great comic actress and her voice is just so unique and strong... true broadway star
Omg obsessed with how she sang “how to fix that hair😏” 😂🤣😄🤣

Yay! Tysm! I was SOOO sad when this got deleted from yt!
Yeah ofc! It might get taken down again so I will archive it and put it back every now and then
She came to this final popular with one goal: make Idina break 😂
And she succeeded! Countless times
Kristin Chenoweth still killed it.
To whoever illegally recorded this, THANK YOU!!
that final note is literal perfection
ITS UP AGAIN!!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH
