  • Today is the day that I make it all the way up to Crook’s Corner, just past Pafuri. I head out early morning, with coffee in hand and eager with anticipation. There are some great sightings along the way - beautiful birds, including Fish Eagle, Sparrow Hawk, White Fronted Bee-Eaters, as well as plenty of Nyala, Kudu, Warthog, Elephant, Crocodile and Water Buck. It's a solid 10 hours of driving - and what started out as cloudy and drizzly, turns into a magical afternoon and another fantastic sunset.

Thank you Graeme. My preference is the northern end of the KNP... I have been there hundreds of times, as we lived just outside in Hazyview, but cannot go right now due to the Covid restrictions here in Australia. Thank you for taking the time to video your trip...

It’s my pleasure Clinton. Sorry you’re not able to travel at the moment. Hopefully that changes for all of us soon…

Enjoyed your stuff but gotta admit i would have chosen African themed music like Johnny Clegg or David Hewitt(African tapestry, the storyteller)

Thanks Guy - agree, that would be ideal. Problem is around the rights to use that music and the copyright claims. Thanks for watching though - hope you enjoyed the content!

Hi Graeme, you mentioned your dad was from Zims. I knew of a Cummings family, they farmed near Bulawayo . His name was John and wife was Jean. They had 2 children. Any relation?

My dad was born in Bulawayo and lived there until 1980 before moving to ZA. I don’t know of a John or Jean in our immediate family - but it’s possible that he may have known of them. Not direct relations - but probably a few generations up the family tree they may be connected. 😉

The wind is part of the wildness of the park, so I would also not have music. A pity it spoils this lovely video 😢😢

Graeme I like your videos, but as a viewer I would like to listen to sound of nature, not music.
Having said this, you still have great music but not for the KP videos

Hey Werner - glad you like the videos. As for the music - that was mostly added to counteract the sound of wind in the microphone when I was driving around. But yes, I’ll try and get more ‘bush sounds’ into the next adventure I do. Thanks for watching and for your comments. Take care.
