  • Join us on our latest adventure as we head north to Botswana and journey across the country into the great Okavango Delta. Our expedition meets in Maun, the gateway to the Delta, where we make our way into the Moremi Game Reserve, and onwards to Third Bridge Camp. Along the way, we encounter a variety of wildlife, including Elephant, Hippo, Impala, Kudu, Red Lechwe, and Wildebeest - and we help one of our expedition team mates recover their vehicle after it gets stuck in some deep mud.

      Thanks Joe - appreciate the comment. Yes, it was great to get up to Botswana for just under two weeks. The Okavango delta is an amazing place - we only saw a fraction of it in this series. But I’ll be back for sure. Enjoy the content! 😎

      Hey Morris - thanks for reaching out and for your comment - and especially for your help on the day. We caused a bit of a traffic jam, but we could tell that you guys were eager to jump in and help out - and we definitely appreciated that - thank you again. I'll be uploading the rest of our trip over the coming few weeks - Episode 2 will drop on Saturday. Hopefully we get to meet again one day, on a trail somewhere - we owe you a few beers ;-)

    Great video, thanks for posting. In October I did a two week self drive camping safari in Namibia. It was incredible, greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪 I'm hoping to visit Botswana in 2024.

      Hey Damian - thanks for your comment - glad you enjoyed the video.
      I haven’t done Namibia yet - but it’s high up on my list. I’ve only heard good things.
      You will love Botswana when you visit in 2024 - friendly people, lovely country, amazing safari/overlanding opportunities. Keen to hear how you find it once you get back. 👍🏼

      @@graemecumming Graeme, you mentioned the German couple who rented the vehicle from Bushlore in Maun. Did they return it at Kasane or back in Maun?

      @@damianmcdonagh7908 they rented in Maun and dropped off in Kasane. No issues at all. Seems to be a common way of doing it.

    Thanks for the great video. May I ask which border post you used? Any other border (Zanzibar and Platjan for instance) would you recommend early June to cross from Francistown to Alldays (we are headed to Kruger Punda Maria gate)?

      @graemecumming  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Catherine - thanks for your comment. I’m glad you enjoyed the content. We crossed into Bots at Martin’s Drift. I don’t recommend using this border as it was so busy. There’s another border post about 40kms away - Stockport - it’s quiet and very efficient. We came back into ZA via Stockport.

    What month were you in Moremi?

    • @graemecumming
      @graemecumming  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Graham - we left for Bots on 6th April and got back to Joburg on 18th April. Good month from a weather perspective - no real rain (we had some light evening showers), hot during the day, and mostly dry tracks through the swamp region.
