This Covid pandemic, I focused back on propagating succulents and searched u Ms. Laura here on yt and missing your succulent tip of the day.. Now I'm making videos on my succulents here in the Philippines.. Your succulents there are so bulky and really a wow in their sizes!
Laura, I never saw a person so knowledgeable in succulents and cactus like you. Love and enjoy your videos. Much thanks for sharing them with us. Compliments from Vancouver Island, Canada :)
How beautiful looks that garden! I remember the first video. Laura, you inspire me to beautify my small garden and that is bringing me a lot of joy. Thank you so much for your videos.
Hi Laura, that tall fern is Cyathea cooperi (Australian Tree Fern) . They look really good and is situated there in a good space at your clients place hoping it gets enough water, moist and well drained. Great to see all the good work going on and maintenance carried out and catching up on care with succulents and cacti.
So beautiful! I remember this property in your videos! Sooo looking forward to "cleanup" in the fall. I can actually see unintentional growth! Lol! Thx Laura!
they do, but make sure it's bright indirect light. not shade, unless its a xmas cactus or epiphyllum or something, like a forest cactus. but I find cacti will sunburn, even here in SD if they're in full exposed hot day sun. They get more vulnerable and susceptible to bugs when they're heat stressed. Most cacti and succulents (except agaves) do best under screening or filtered light. brightest in the am.
...because where we live here, Coronado, Ca, it's half a mile from the Pacific Ocean - and only a half hour south to Mexico... making sure that our nights & winters never freeze. I can remember New year's eve 2014-15, it hit 35 degrees F and that was a RARITY. Never do we dip below 40 in winter. And summer never hits 100 degrees F. Maybe for a day or two. But thats reserved for inland, which may as well be desert. I mean, it is a desert! Long story short it's always 50-80F in San Diego! coastal! Like Laura says it's ground-zero for succulents... depending where you are you can make it work too. :-)
it’s so cool how the different microclimates of the area you work in affect the plantings. could you go into more detail about why these microclimates exist where they do so people in other areas of the world can begin to hone in on the ones in their area? thanks -z
Hlo Laura I love watching yr plants so beautiful Can u pls tell me wht pesticide u use fr mealybugs n fungus which appear on the leaves n fall Is cinnamon n baking soda good If so pls tell me the method of using Tks Laura God bless stay safe
Never tried that! I use dishwashing detergent diluted 10:1 with water on light infestations. For heavy problems, I use a chemical pesticide/fungicide systemic called Bayer Tree and Shrub.
I was thinking the same thing and google searched it just incase. And to my surprise ... “closelier. Adverb. rare, literary, dated comparative form of closely: more closely.” 🤣🤣🤣

coronado succulents hit different
If cacti don't get enough sun do they stretch out like succulents?

But how are you getting succulents that are SO big?? I live on the East coast and can't find anything near as beautiful!

N when shld they b water in winter n summer I'm in Australia
Indirect in hostile climates. Water only when soil has dried completely.
