Ruby's semblance was technically the first to evolve. After being unable to get past Mercury to save Penny during V3, she developed the ability to split, as seen during her V4 character short. So it already had evolved, everyone was just unaware of it.
There's also her gained ability to take others with her. In V2, she couldn't pick up Penny with her semblance, but by V4, she picked up Nora while they were fighting the Petragigas, and by V8, she carried the entire Atlas team at once
Honestly, her evolution would've been much better if she could just tag somebody and burst them into petals, teleporting them somewhere else without needing to move.
I think Ruby’s semblance is an exception to the rule. I believe that it allows a certain creativity to its use. In v2 that’s the first time she takes someone with her (that we know of), with it being a spur of the moment thing explains the difficulty where in v’s 4&8 the idea is much more thought out (and understood in v8). Her ability to scatter is in the same pattern of thought.
Yes! Thank you, I love you! That's what I've been saying for months already! They need to do something better with her semblence. Actually, they need to do something better with her as a whole. She has the most mysterious semblance. There could be a twist about it. Like this theory I saw: I read somewhere that her semblance is like the idea that every choice whe make creates another universe without us knowing. Everytime Blake creates a clone to take a hit in her place, she's actually creating another whole second universe where she dies (In this case, the clone that is hit, cut, broken or falls to her death.). So, in a brief moment, there are two Blakes from differente universes sharing the same space, and Blake instinctively chooses the one who survives over the one who dies to transfer her consciousness and she'll always choose the universe where she keeps surviving. So her semblence would be literally cheating death. And in the moment where there are two Blakes at the same time (the one who will die and the one who will survive), Blake is, in a way in a state where she's at the same time alive and dead. Like, guess what? The Shrodinger's cat. it'd be perfect for her.
Nora's semblance getting an upgrade, Ren getting an upgrade, Oscar unlocking his semblance... If Jaune doesn't get a semblance upgrade I hope he at least gets aura arcs for a bit of ranged combat
I feel like if Qrow’s semblance were to evolve, it would go from Qrow giving off a bad luck to people around him to cursing some else with bad luck and making them the new epicenter of the effect.
Or it could give him control over the bad luck and it could be ok we get good luck grim get bad luck so basically whoever he is against gets bad luck while his allies get good luck
I'll raise you one, what if his semblance evolved into Probability Manipulation so that he has neither good luck or bad luck simply that he can "push" the odds into his favor while "pulling" the odds of another. It would be nice to think that in Clover"s final moments he "gifted" Qrow with some of his "luck". That way his semblance would be counter balanced. A "curse" would also be a cool thing to see
Ohhh when you mentioned the theory around saving Ren and Nora I thought of the clue we've already gotten about Jaunes semblance evolution! He's going to be able to EXTEND his Aura! Vine asked him during training. I now think both Nora and Jaune will find their semblance evolving.
dammit, didnt need that kinda thought today....though i could see that being a thing unfortunately....though i suppose it would only be really dangerous for someone whithout an aura, if one had their aura unlocked they would be able to touch her for a little bit
@@jkruszer no no I’m sorry I should have elaborated further. I meant it a defensive tactic. Right now Nora can power up her physical attacks by absorbing electricity, what I’m thinking is using it defensively. Striking her with a metal weapon would channel a current to you, or letting an enemy touch her just to be shocked when they come in contact. And not indefinitely, just for a short duration.
Thats exactly what she does when she powers up her weapon though. She stores it and then releases it on hit. So I don't think that would be so much of an evolution than just a different way she could use her semblance.
Ruby's semblance is likely to evolve, they did point out that her semblance is more than speed and confirmed it with Penny analyse in volume 8...so maybe her semblance has already evolved and all she need is to realize the full potential of her semblance? Also I'm still curious about what would happen if jaune amplified the semblance of other people of the main cast than Ren (like weiss, could we one day see a giant summon? I already saw a fanart like that once)that have already very physically powerful semblances (Yang and Nora, they would be so OP 🤣😱)or even mentally (would Robyn be able to do more than just knowing whatever someone tell the truth?) I think that most part of this questions will never be answered in the show but it's always interesting to think about it
He doesnt really amplify people semblances he just gives them more aura, when people use there semblances they use aura but they only have so much and jaune just gives them more to work with
@@peterpumkineater5636 Exactly... If u ever wonder why they didn't spam their semblances in a fight is because using semblance consume their aura level which is also used as a shield for them , so they mostly activate their semblances rarely , otherwise they ran out of aura and become vulnerable and die....
Tbh.i thinm Her semblance evolved during the time skip of vol. 3 and 4. During vol2, we can see that ruby is still strugling to take penny with her using her semblance, because she still cant transform into full petals. Then vol. 4 came, and you can see ruby turns to petals and even bringing charged nora and making pink petals (probably cherry blossom) with ruby's rose perals. And also in vol. 6, with weiss making white-ish blue petals. Well, penny in vol. 8 ruby's semblance explanation kinda missed a few things. Negating mass means 0 and if theres no mass, no force (f=ma) force= 0×(acceleration), so maybe not negating, but reducing mass, so thats probably a brain-fart for them. The reason why ruby's petals didnt show the others petals,, due to being too much of them, having weiss, blake, nora, penny, and may, making too much of a work to just making ruby's petals. That probably answers most questions on ruby's semblance. Im sorry if i have poor grammer, and feel free to correct me if im wrong
I wonder if there’s more to Ren’s semblance evolution than meets the eye. We the viewer only saw the color of the petals on the person but Ren seemed to be able to tell much more. He said that Hare was specifically angry about losing Clover and that Marrow and Winter didn’t want to be where they were right now. How would he be able to know all that specifically if all he did is see the color of petals.
well we can assume Ren understands what all the petals mean since he obviously wasn't going through any sort of learning curve for understanding what they all meant. As for more than meets the eye on his reading of people, Ren is a very insightful person so he probably already had ideas and the petals just helped him understand more by being great hints etc. Like with Hare they just had a talk about Clover and past people that died and how they need to not be effected so seeing they are actually angry is just Ren connecting the dots.
I don't think what we saw was necessarily what Ren saw, or even that he was seeing anything at all. It seemed to me that was just a visual representation of Ren being able to feel what the others were feeling
Yangs is tricky to entertain an evolution for because its really straight forward. Maybe it has another form before she super saiyans out. Where it intensifies her aura so she can absorb more attacks? I'm at a loss
@@wheatleyscience9 I forgot to reply to this 🥲 but an evolution of her semblance is something that I honestly have no clue for . Like I’m really at as loss on how to upgrade her semblance ... maybe she gets some sort of fire powers ? very unlikely but that’s the only thing that I can think of
I think for Cinder to evolve, she needs to stop being power hungry, and just except her Fall maiden power. Which could probably result in her becoming a fully realized maiden.
It unlocked when the 2 sisters intentionally muddied the floor she'd worked so hard to clean. So likely, something happening that completely ruins something she'd worked genuinely hard to do
@@emeraldmorgan6644 that MIGHT happen after what happened v8 c10. Cinder shed a tear, after Watts roasted/reality checked her. That could be a posibility
I just thought of something when you mentioned Jaune. In Volume 7 Chapter 5 (3:45), Vine asks Jaune if he thought about extending his aura. Now it may seem irrelevant but hear me out, in a situation as Phoenix said where both Ren and Nora are injured at a distance from each other, he'd have to extend his aura to heal both of them, he didn't have to be in physical contact with Weiss to heal her but in a certain proximity, so maybe that proximity will increase if both are a distance away from each other and he needs to heal both. No idea if this applies but it's just a thought :)
I think Ruby's semblance is already evolved, so I think in-between volumes 3 and 4 she went back to some old training routines whilst on the way to Mistral.
If nora gets a semblance upgrade then she most likely isn't dying bc it would e a waste to give her an upgrade and then kill her off also i dont feel like crying
Or it could be the perfect moment to show that even with upgrades they aren’t ready. Noras upgrade being extremely powerful, but still being offed. Or not being enough to keep ren from being offed(cuz I’d rather lose ren than Nora)
I wanna know how Qrow found out his semblance lol plus if he evolves his, the way it will possibly happen is he'll be put in situation where he wants to help Ruby and the others but because of their bad luck he'll find a way to absorb everyone else's bad luck and add it to his own, becoming a decoy maybe hmm..
Thank you:) as for the question, hmm maybe it simply absorbs bad luck and would increase their chances of success without giving them good luck, but more along the lines of simply giving them a chance to use the luck they already have more effectively...though if that is the route they take for his semblance, if they evolve it at all, I sadly only seeing this as a last stand for Qrow, due to everyone's bad luck slowly killing him :'( I would be so upset, because I want him to know happiness, without the constant fear of himself :(
Since ruby can split apart while using her semblance could she reassemble into multiple copies instead of just reforming into one cluster of petals and stay detached so when she comes out there’s more than one of her.
I’m pretty sure someone has probably already said this but I think I know what the colors or Ren’s semblance represent. Red is obviously anger or rage, Blue is sadness, Green is calm or peace even possibly resignation, I believe that Orange is feelings of betrayal, and Pink being love. This explains why Winter had all of the petals save pink: she is sad seeing what is happening in addition to the fact that her sister and penny are being called criminals, angry that everything is going so off the rails despite them having a plan to save everyone, betrayal that someone who said they valued her (Ironwood) was so willing to send her and the Ace Ops to their deaths in the whale, and finally resignation to follow her orders to the end
I would like to see Nora be able to generate electricity and use it as ether a strength enhancement, to add to her weapons blast or blow, or as a projectile for her to fire from her hands or hammer
I had the same idea a while ago. I thought that she may still have dust inside her body, and she may be able to produce electricity directly out of her body. Also, the new mic and camera are great
I like to believe that Ren’s Semblance evolved because he realized just how damaging bottling up emotions are, even if you want to avoid conflict. He’s always wanted to call out his friends for what they are trying to do without having any real clue what to do, but he kept quiet. He concealed, didn’t feel. But once he got everything off his chest, he realized how much of a weight was lifted off his chest he could see the importance of expressing emotions, which is why he’s now about to see the emotions people want to express, but aren’t: because they too are bottling up their emotions, like he did and he’s realizing that he was wrong to do so. But that doesn’t mean your explanation doesn’t make sense or doesn’t play a factor because it easily could. Your explanation does make sense! Good video!
I have an even better idea, it evolves to absorb the good luck of others around him by choice and allows him to weaponize it by launching it towards an enemy, giving them massive amounts of bad luck. They could even tie in clovers death with qrow accidentally evolving mid fight but having no control over it
It's possible Ruby's Semblance has evolved or will evolve soon Edit: Now that I think of it My OC Team might need to have an evolution in their Semblances....... Hmm 🤔
Nora semblance allows her to channel eletricity, if the semblamce really evolve i think she will be capable of release the eletricity like a lightning, that would be cool
Nora's semblance (or at least how she used it) was to absorb lightning to temporarily boost her strength which she used to better wield her hammer. Now i know this is a Marvel quote of dream Odin to Thor, "are you the god of hammers?" I would guess she could store electricity to use later or even generate it on her own. Like maybe she will be able to release lightning freely without the need for dust.
I feel like another way his semblance could have evolved would be like if any of you have seen Steven Universe blue diamonds power like how she can project her emotions onto others
I think that the semblance can work similarly to quirks in my hero academia, and they get stronger the more you use them. And we can see that during Ruby's training the generals training room she was able to split into 3 in order to pass the wall, and that only happened after so much training and using her semblance
what about the schnee's, winter said that their semblance could, lika a muscle, grow and get stronger with more use, Or did weiss unlock it while being harassed by jacques and then develop it in vol 5 when the harassment was worse. What's you're opinion?
That’s not really what Winter was talking about. She was telling Weiss that the only way she could get better at aspects of her Semblance like Summoning is by continuing to practice, instead of just saying she can’t do it.
@@unicornburger16 yes but does this mean that you don't have to re-live the experience that unlocked you're semblance in weiss' case, because her semblance did evolve when she learned to summon
@@lewysoffe6854 what evidence is there that her Semblance has evolved? All she did was learn to Summon, that’s not an evolution that’s just an advanced part of their Semblance.
@@unicornburger16 I'm not saying it is or isn't, it's just an idea but when I think of it her semblance has changed and bettered itself or in other words evolved
@@lewysoffe6854 I don’t think so. Yeah she’s gotten way better at Summoning, to the point it’s basically all she does, but it hasn’t changed at all. She just hasn’t used her old techniques since mastering Summoning.
I fully believe that in Remnant souls live on after death. That’s how we get scenes like the one at Pyrrha’s statue. There’s far too much emphasis on souls in the series for them not to have a deeper meaning to how the characters’ reality operates.
I definitely agree with you on that, just the fact that we saw Ozma's soul talking with the God of Light shows that there is an afterlife and that his soul lived on after his death in some form
Jaune's semblance could evolve to have his aura reach others when Jaune can't physically get to them. As Vine had suggested during training in V7, perhaps his aura could evolve to extend outwards, thus allowing him to heal from a distance.
Maybe if qrow can overcome a bunch of misfortune his semblance can evolve to let him tone down the misfortune instead of just amping it up or controlling who gets misfortune
I think a good candidate for semblance evolution is Marrow. Since he is the newest member of Ace Ops he would be one most likely to grow. Also his semblance has been shown to have clear limits and rules. If he and his team were being over run, especially after losing Clover it could be enough to cause a change. Maybe not to point were he can freeze 360° cause might be bit too op but if he can do cardinal directions from himself. Also I am hoping after all this time that Oscar may be able to unlock his own semblance soon.
I hope Jaune leans more into the Paladin thing he has going. His semblance is like a more useful version of Lay Hands, now we just need him to develop his version of Divine Smite. Fill his blade to bursting and decimate his foes with his burning, righteous aura.
This actually works in my favour, now I can just limit my teams seblances and when needed make their semblances evolve. So I might be a bit biast, but this seems reasonable
Yang's character short in the vol 5 bluray shows how ruby unlocked her semblance tho. It's EXACTLY like ruby says "Mine just kicked in during training one day" it kicked in while sparring with yang before yang heads off to begin her first year at beacon. She wanted to make sure her sister can handle herself since she didnt know ruby was going to be joining her at beacon at the time.
Based on the volume 5 Yang character short, I think ruby unlocked her semblance training with Yang, out of fear of taking a hit, perhaps with tai yang, or perhaps with Qrow, she would be training without her scythe, likely having yet to make it. She takes a hit, gets scared, and before taking the next just disappears. (Dashes away) When it evolved with her volume four short, I believe that Ruby was so hard at work, and so fearful of that Grimm, that she likely didn’t even notice her use of it, do I think it will evolve soon, yes. Do I think it should, no. I think she still has a lot to learn with it and I don’t see a reason for it to improve if she’s yet to fully comprehend it’s capacity.
I can see the glyph semblance evolving to be able to fuse or combine the attributes of their summons into one while still being able to summon multiple at the same time.
I’m glad it’s canonically a thing. In an rp group I had my character go through a minor semblance evolution, and no one batted an eye, even though I questioned the validity. Now I don’t have to, lol
I really like your analyses :) Also, you focused on Semblance Evolution, but I wouldn't be surprised if we saw at least one Semblance Awakening this volume, probably Whitley (for example with an unexpected glyph stopping a Grimm at the last second), or maybe Oscar (though I think RT will keep Oscar's Semblance Awakening for the end of the series).
Hey...what if Adam could do that too, but ended up finding it easier to absorb the damage through his weapon rather than through himself, resulting in his semblance devolving that part?
I'm not sure but I think ruby's semblance did evolve. Thinking back to volume 1-3 ruby did have petal burst but she hasn't separated herself more til later on. She mentioned that she wasn't thinking when she split into three, unless its a clue that she can separated herself more or she can travel into tight spaces in a petal burst based state. However it may not be what it seems. If Ruby does go through another evolution i believe it will be more focused on her silver eyes. Its still a mystery as to how to use it more frequently for her unlike the Grim Reaper who lost her eyes whom actually was trained for awhile how to use them from her father. Also, with what awakened her semblance. It reminds me of goku but her determination is not the same. If its off of training or to surpass ones goal she should've evolved during the battle between her team vs the ACE Ops. It made me wonder what is her new goal now? She knows about Salem, and she's officially a huntress despite of already being on the run from Ironwood. So what will she or they do now? Also if team JNR is already starting to evolve then what is going to happen with team RWBY semblance. Overall I could be wrong about ruby's semblance being evolved but what would turn to ... teleportation? Phasing through walls and objects (even though she can) or even a petal burst clone!?
there could be multiple ways for a semblance to evolve. one method could be experiencing similar but to the nth degree to evolve like what was discussed in the video, but I do think there could be a second way to evolve and that is by training and pushing your semblance to the limit. some, like Nora's could have very similar circumstances to the process. others like the Schnee family could be more train heavy or gotta catch 'em all heavy. i don't know, just a theory, a rwby theory. thanks for reading
Vine did suggest to Jaune about “extending” his aura. Maybe the next step is developing an extension cord. Like instead of having to touch someone to give them a boost, he would be able to do it at a distance.
Litchenberg features: thats what the scars Nora has are called. They can appear on people irl who have been struck by lightning. The scars are permanent irl so I presume Nora's are here to stay. I wonder what color lotus petals Ren will see when he and Nora are reunited?
I think Jaune will be able to amplify his Aura in certain parts of his body. Like in his arms to give himself Hercules-like strength and maybe he'll be able to expand his Aura to create a forcefield
This theory reminds me of My Hero's Quirks and Black Clover Spells where a character power can evolve when they are put into situations of life and death much like in real life when someone people get that Adrenaline rush.
This is a very informative way to explain the awakening/evolving of a this gives me an idea on how to have one of my OC characters on how to evolve her semblance. I already have the team, weapons, and semblance’s covered but this just gave me more ideas. Who wants to know?
I think it's worth noting that semblances do seem to expand a little from time to time without fully evolving. I.e., Ruby's Petal Burst began as only one mass of petals which stayed pretty close to the ground, and it only transported her, but in Volume 4 she began to actively taking other people with her, and in later Volumes she started splitting into multiple bursts and could also more or less just depart from the ground at will, effectively becoming short bursts of outright flight rather than more gravity-bound sprinting.
One way I think Weiss's semblance might evolve will be that she'll be able to equip her summon' s characteristics. Like say the Armour Gigas summon would grant her aura based armour( making her resemble her grandfather) increasing her defence and attack power. The boarbatusk Summon giving speed and maybe it's spin dash. The queen lancer's fight and stringers. Passing through her summon's glyphs donning them like a knight's armour or a magical girl transformation, instead of ya know wasting aura and time creating constructs.
It does seems reasonable and now I'm really curious about how not only main RWBY characters semblances will evolve but also your team in the future keep up the awesome work Phoenix.
Oooh Mini theory When you go through traumatic events of any kind, your soul can be said to have grown, metaphorically. So what if it's also literal? What if that's the natural way to gain access to a larger pool of aura? And what with conservation of energy, could the "size" of your soul be what dictates that you have enormous aura reserves like Jaune does, in turn fuelling more and more crazy abilities like the aura amp or even Ruby's insane molecular breakdown, or heck even Fiona's pocket dimension semblance?
I love all of the various T-shirts you wear in your videos. I'm just kinda realizing that. Also, gotta appreciate that No Game No Life poster in the background.
Maybe Jaune would be able to make a shield dome with his aura that doubles as a healing area that heals/boosts everyone within the dome and a literal shield that blocks attacks. That would make him truly the ultimate support and healer.
A few thoughts on how Ruby's semblance could evolve -Like in volume 2, during the food fight, Ruby ran super fast and there was this giant wind due to her speed. Maybe she could end up using the air her around more and still turn into petals? -We've seen her transport more people. So what if it evolves enough that she can transport small armies?Or she could transport weapons? Atlas mechs? -maybe she could transport enemies against their will? Like with a touch she can just move enemies to another location to fight?
I agree. The condition(s) that awakened it in the first place would likely have to repeat in a similar fashion to evolve it. Detouring into character specific examples though, this means Wiess will evolve in one of two ways; 1. She will have to fight Winter. Instead of training under her with the desire to be as good as she is, Wiess will now be faced with the conflict of needing to surpass Winter here and now in order to carry on what she feels is right. 2. This option feels less likely now, but seeing her mother or brother in harms way. More specifically, if Willow were to make a last stand and end up dying, Wiess will possibly snap emotionally. There is a fan video from a few years ago that shows basically an "evil" Wiess. Her facial expressions were very evil looking and when she did her summon, the Aramagigas was clearly demonic now. Anyways, the point here is that through intense sorry, rage can form. Witnessing the death of her mother or heck, the harm of her little brother, could push Wiess in a direction to evolve on the fly, or to become rage monster.
Wait... Didn't Ruby's semblance evolve already? At first it was just a short burst of speed, but now she can carry things and people with her while using her semblance. Plus, she can split herself apart to move around things while going in the same direction. Her semblance evolving wasn't as glamorous as Ren's (Penny just kinda explained to Ruby how Ruby's semblance works, which is just so in character for her), but she can now do things that she otherwise didn't know she could do. Also, for anybody a bit confused as to why Ruby all of a sudden knew exactly how to use her semblance's new powers, she actually used these powers a few times earlier in the series. The fight against the Geist in the first episode of Season 6 springs to mind. Eidt: Typo.
Well thought and researched....if Qrow’s semblances is to evolve I hope it should be that he could control it like who he would want it affected by his choice or depends
Minor nitpicks but Ruby awakened her semblance when she was sparring with Yang and needed to runaway in order to dogde. she needed more time to get out of harms way. Something that we see her struggle with. She wasn't fast enough to save Penny and pyrrah. She wasnt strong enough to carry Penny with her petal burst. But now? She's able to split apart, carry multiple people, catch multiple people, and even be able to intercept an attack on a team-mate.
Also I think we all forgot it was winter who was trying to teach wiese about trying hard to improve her semblances in vol 3 cause before that wiese could only push or pull then she started summoning
I’m sure someone has said this part already (and I know they have for some of this thought.) but I always thought the volume 5 Yang trailer where Ruby dodges the Ursa at the last minute and totally disappears was them showing us Ruby awakening her semblance. Also I think technically we have seen what the evolutions of her semblance will be already (though its kind of weirdly placed if that is the case) through the volume 4 trailer since we seen her splitting, kind of staggering or dramatically spreading petals and then whatever that last big expansion thing was at the end of fighting the beringal. I think right now we are just seeing Ruby’s understanding of her semblance evolve but Rt accidentally showed us the evolution (or has changed what they wanted to do with it/when they wanted to do it)
I have an idea for rubys semblance evolution will be. Ruby might see how unstoppable salem is with her magic andand we might get a flash back to when qrow and ruby sparing. And in that instance she kept loosing to qrow but then it shows us that ruby got her semblance because she wanted to beat qrow, so the same will happen here but of course it will be worse. Im not too sure what she would be able to do but it could be that she might be able to make these roses come out and manipulate them. Or she might be able to combine both her semblance and silver eyes but for all we know she could just get a better feel for her silver eyes and thats it
What if some semblances could evolve based on the opposite mindset/desires. Like Qrow could get the power to increase the chance of good outcomes happening for his friends and family based on his mood.
This is basically making Nora like Yang, but I think it'll be cool if Nora can store up kinetic energies from attacks and generate electricity with it.
Im a little late but i feel like different semblances might need different things to evolve. Some could master their semblance on usage/training alone, others might need meditation or stressful situations or a combination of the 3. Some of them might be incapable of evolving. How they evolve might be as simple as following a predetermined path. They might develop based on what you need in the moment. One semblance might follow a path while a similar semblance developes based on need. It could also be semi-random.
i wonder how does someone feels when ren sees thats someone with "random colored palets moving regularly and in order" *similiar to winter since he has "scattered palets"
I have one interesting question if Ozpin during the time of the great war or even before it started had all four relics in his possession at the time why didn't he use all four combined to defeat Salem in the first place I get it that the relic of knowledge is meant to answer any questions relating to the past or present but Ozpin even though he can't kill Salem, he could still beat her with his magic and with the combined powers of the four relics which could be far more powerful than Salem herself and Ozpin with that power boost could easily defeat her, and I know that if all four are brought together it would summon back the gods but Ozpin if his incarnation was the king of Vale at the time had all four relics yet the gods weren't summoned back meaning there is a process or method in which to summon back the gods of Remnant and that is something Ozpin would know how to do, but back to the question if Ozpin aka the King of Vale had all four relics including his own magic at the time and this is before the four maidens so Ozpin would have his full magic power why didn't he go and just simply beat Salem than and there?
I feel like this goes really well with my idea that a semblance isn't something that is decided from birth, your aura senses the 'outcry of your soul" as phoenix puts it, and responds in whatever way makes the most sense. "But what about the schnee semblance. It's hereditary." Or so we think. It's very possible the stress that awakens a schnee's semblance is the fear and burden of living up to the legacy. That's why when we saw Weiss's semblance evolved to full on summoning in volume four, the stress that caused it was the turmoil of not being the schnee heiress anymore, and having to preserve the legacy in a new way. An argument could also be made that yang's semblance has evolved. Perhaps not in the traditional sense, but it's definitely changed in how she uses it. At first the power built up making her stronger as the fight goes on. Now it seems she stores energy and releases it when she needs to. Whatever the case, greatly video. Excited to see more!
I wonder what yangs could evolve into ruby's already has I think since in volume 1 and 2 she was just really quick but gained the ability around 3 to become rose pedals.
Whacky theory but what if Ruby awakened her semblance after having a nightmare of her mother . I mean like she dreamt of her death in front of her and wished she was fast enough to save her. this would sort of fit in with the red like roses theme.
@@thescholarsjourney661 I thought that was just because of Penny’s weight

I’d like to see how Blake’s semblance can evolve personally.
"involve" ?
I figure she’ll be able to make more shadow clones akin to the character naruto
@@kobebelcher4494 maybe they can move as well
For some reason I think shadow clone(naruto)when I think Blake's
Yes! Thank you, I love you! That's what I've been saying for months already! They need to do something better with her semblence. Actually, they need to do something better with her as a whole. She has the most mysterious semblance. There could be a twist about it. Like this theory I saw:
I read somewhere that her semblance is like the idea that every choice whe make creates another universe without us knowing.

This is GOOOD
Or it could give him control over the bad luck and it could be ok we get good luck grim get bad luck so basically whoever he is against gets bad luck while his allies get good luck
I'll raise you one, what if his semblance evolved into Probability Manipulation so that he has neither good luck or bad luck simply that he can "push" the odds into his favor while "pulling" the odds of another. Ohhh when you mentioned the theory around saving Ren and Nora I thought of the clue we've already gotten about Jaunes semblance evolution! He's going to be able to EXTEND his Aura! Vine asked him during training. I now think both Nora and Jaune will find their semblance evolving.
I think Nora will probably be able to channel electricity through the scars on her body, making touching her dangerous
Depressing
dammit, didnt need that kinda thought today....though i could see that being a thing unfortunately....though i suppose it would only be really dangerous for someone whithout an aura, if one had their aura unlocked they would be able to touch her for a little bit
I THINK Oobleck said Nora could discharge electricity. Back in Vol 3.
I already saw a fanart like that once)that have already very physically powerful semblances (Yang and Nora, they would be so OP 🤣😱)or even mentally (would Robyn be able to do more than just knowing whatever someone tell the truth?)
I think that most part of this questions will never be answered in the show but it's always interesting to think about it
He doesnt really amplify people semblances he just gives them more aura, when people use there semblances they use aura but they only have so much and jaune just gives them more to work with
I think everybody's gonna level up by the end of this.

This is actually an incredibly unique and interesting take on Qrow's semblance evolution.
would that technically count as giving everyone else hes with good luck, thus almost making some weird switch to is semblance?
Adding onto this idea, she could get an upgrade to her scythe that let's it split into several smaller weapons for her clones to use!
I always thought ren's semblance just hid emotions from the Grimm, I didn't think it actually calmed people down
I would like to see Nora be able to generate electricity and use it as ether a strength enhancement, to add to her weapons blast or blow, or as a projectile for her to fire from her hands or hammer
I think Qrow's semblance will evolve, he might have the ability give someone a bad luck and he might also able control his semblance as well
I had the same idea a while ago. I thought that she may still have dust inside her body, and she may be able to produce electricity directly out of her body. Also, the new mic and camera are great
We also could see Oscar unlock his semblance this Volume
Good video!
It would be cool if Qrow Semblance evolve to him been able to control it and apply it to people
I have an even better idea, it evolves to absorb the good luck of others around him by choice and allows him to weaponize it by launching it towards an enemy, giving them massive amounts of bad luck. They could even tie in clovers death with qrow accidentally evolving mid fight but having no control over it
It's possible Ruby's Semblance has evolved or will evolve soon
Edit: Now that I think of it My OC Team might need to have an evolution in their Semblances....... Hmm 🤔
I hope if nora's semblance does evolve its gonna be lighting or electricity generation so she can fully become thor
“Power level at four hundred percent”
“Well how about that?”
I feel like another way his semblance could have evolved would be like if any of you have seen Steven Universe blue diamonds power like how she can project her emotions onto others
Stan blue diamond she was bomb
I think that the semblance can work similarly to quirks in my hero academia, and they get stronger the more you use them. And we can see that during Ruby's training the generals training room she was able to split into 3 in order to pass the wall, and that only happened after so much training and using her semblance
I love that they finally just went and made ren an empath🤣

what about the schnee's, winter said that their semblance could, lika a muscle, grow and get stronger with more use, Or did weiss unlock it while being harassed by jacques and then develop it in vol 5 when the harassment was worse. What's you're opinion?
That’s not really what Winter was talking about. She was telling Weiss that the only way she could get better at aspects of her Semblance like Summoning is by continuing to practice, instead of just saying she can’t do it.

@@PhoenixNight I hope we get a good exploration of that at some point.
I think this is a super cool idea! I hope we see more evolved semblances (and a confirmation as to how one evolves their semblance).
I hope the scars are permanent! They could look badass!
I want to see Yang, Blake or Jaune get some semblance upgrades, perhaps Jaune’s new thing will be aura blocking since he can boost them now.
I think it would be interesting if Jaune's Semblance evolved to be able to take Aura from other people instead of only giving his own away
(Dashes away)
When it evolved with her volume four short, I believe that Ruby was so hard at work, and so fearful of that Grimm, that she likely didn’t even notice her use of it, do I think it will evolve soon, yes.
I knew it! There was an evolution! Semblance can evolved! Especially Weiss semblance's evolve when she does her "summon".
I really like your analyses :)
Also, you focused on Semblance Evolution, but I wouldn't be surprised if we saw at least one Semblance Awakening this volume, probably Whitley (for example with an unexpected glyph stopping a Grimm at the last second), or maybe Oscar (though I think RT will keep Oscar's Semblance Awakening for the end of the series).
with the idea of aura extension, if yang could expand her aura to something like her mother's sword, she could emulate Adam's semblance
Love you dude
there could be multiple ways for a semblance to evolve. one method could be experiencing similar but to the nth degree to evolve like what was discussed in the video, but I do think there could be a second way to evolve and that is by training and pushing your semblance to the limit. some, like Nora's could have very similar circumstances to the process. others like the Schnee family could be more train heavy or gotta catch 'em all heavy.
i don't know, just a theory, a rwby theory. thanks for reading
That would be awesome as hell.
Or making big slash of aura with his sword like Blake did against missle with time dialation at v2 mech fight.
Loving the new look
Oooh
Mini theory
When you go through traumatic events of any kind, your soul can be said to have grown, metaphorically.
I’m really interested i whether Oscar has a Semblance or will he just have magic?
A few thoughts on how Ruby's semblance could evolve
-Like in volume 2, during the food fight, Ruby ran super fast and there was this giant wind due to her speed.
Yes I do feel like this is the method is likely how Semblances will evolve.
Waiting to see Yang's semblance evolve and we get Super Cyang.
I agree. The condition(s) that awakened it in the first place would likely have to repeat in a similar fashion to evolve it.
Detouring into character specific examples though, this means Wiess will evolve in one of two ways;
Eidt: Typo.
Season 4.
Maybe Jaune’s semblance will evolve to leech aura after killing Penny.
The evolution of the semblance is cool
I think we are seeing Ironwood's Semblance evolve already. Getting suck so deed in to once and only one course of action.
I really want to see Qrow's Semblance evolve as well as Blake and Yang also have new Semblances revealed.
i wonder how does someone feels when ren sees thats someone with "random colored palets moving regularly and in order"
*similiar to winter since he has "scattered palets"
I thought it was implied ruby activated her semblance for the first time in the Yang short
Am I the only one who thought it was implied ruby unlocked her semblance in the yang character short?
I wonder what yangs could evolve into ruby's already has I think since in volume 1 and 2 she was just really quick but gained the ability around 3 to become rose pedals.
Whacky theory but what if Ruby awakened her semblance after having a nightmare of her mother . I mean like she dreamt of her death in front of her and wished she was fast enough to save her. this would sort of fit in with the red like roses theme.
