She played this on her most recent tour, which she hasn’t done in a very, very long time. One of her best songs without a doubt.

The words are inspiring, and Alanssis voice is unbelievable. She writes from the heart, I love her music. Also, her flute playing is great and I love how she starts and ends the song with this instrument. Heard her play harmonica in another song, she is truly talented.

Alanis a phenomenal artist songwriter and singer and music producer , her emotive mezzo soprano voice is so unique and stunning, I have been a fan from the beginning of Alanis career and listen to her music every day, whenever Alanis had a concert tour in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 I always attend them and have seen her live concerts six times, Alanis is absolutely incredible live,Alanis is touring America at present! Great reaction thanks 🙏

Yes, the way she does lyrical repetition works very well. She has a powerful voice that draws you in and doesn't let go, even during the quieter parts.

Ahhhh…I am SO happy to see this song FINALLY make it into your reviews! I have been wanting your reaction to this one for quite a while as I felt it would certainly hit you in the feels. I’ve always appreciated the song structure combined with the sweet and simple sound arrangement. The accompaniment of her flute playing adds to the sweetness. The lyrics to this song are some of the best ever composed. Thank you Salvo for this reaction. Another great album, and another personal fave from it for me is “Are You Still Mad?”. ✌️

Songs and music in the 90's were/was so consistently good that it naively made me believe that Music would only keep getting Better and Better from there and no one would ever reward dreck again - BOY was I WRONG!

I was born in '61. I thought music was always great because from the time I was born it had been. Loved so much the rock music from 60s and 70s. Remember my Senior year in 1980 I started listening to the Cars as New Wave hit the scene and now I had this and Rock that I get into. Alternative Rock became popular the 90s and I like it even better than New Wave. Sometime in the early 2000s I stopped listening to the radio. In past generations I could turn the radio on and always find a good song, but it was getting harder so I relied on CDs. After 2010 I started feeling sorry for the days generation because music meant so much to us as youth and my thought was these poor youth aren't getting real talent anymore. I don't know, they may see it differently, but songs that repeat the same words over and over takes no talent. There are other issues as well, but today I find myself listening only to music from 1960-early 2000s and only a few songs after. It's sad. Television and movies aren't as good as they once we're either. Not sure what happened, but we don't seem to have near as much talent as we once did.

@@janiestla5945 A few things to blame. - The Disneyfication of talent coming from their children's programming (a few great talents but many NOT) and it's "high production" value of glitter over substance to capture a loyal fandom from cradle to grave. The monopolization of powerful corporate "hit-makers" who control the music industry for maximum profit to mindless minds along with the Formula/Algorythm machine that takes "hits" to regurgitate back to the masses with few alterations (like sugar addiction). And the splintering of music media outlets takes a lot of effort to find any under-the radar gems. The only hope a young person has to hear anything great is 1. Exposure from their parents. 2. If they SO happen to hear it on a movie soundtrack. Super Sad State of Affairs to say the least.

@jaquettajones It is sad, but at least we have the old stuff to listen to. I just used to look forward to seeing the new good stuff coming out, and I just about given up.
