Never knew making ras malai at home would be soo easy . I think it would taste even better if the milk is boiled with cardamom and saffron together, it will enhance the taste and also the color.

You can try cheese method of making rasmalai.both methods are correct and outcome is yummy. It's ur preference which method do you follow. This is quick and instant one. While other is a bit lengthy.
No its not original at all in original there is need to add lemon juice in milk to make the curd out of it its only customise recipe by her its not far similar to the original at all

As is usual for you Sairajan, this is a completely clearly described recipe, beautifully laid out & masterfully photographed. Speaking for myself, I have never understood the allure of Ras Malai. Its such an insipid phus-phussa mithai, merely a fancy name for plain old Rasgullas with added milk. Its recipe is long overdue for a makeover. An obvious improvement would be to ditch the boring sweetened milk base with a richer, thicker rabri. Another would be to fry the milk balls/patties just like you would for ghulab jamans, before adding them to the liquid. Yet another would be to enrich the plain old milk base with double cream. Yet another would be adding zafran & kewra/rosewater to the milk base.
Best recipe of rasmali! Patties comes out spongy and so soft...restaurant style. If you have vegetarian version (without use of an egg) please post. Thank you.
