This kit is a mixed bag for me. Personally this suit is one of my all time favorites ever since I played Encounters in Space on PS2 (this guy was the cover boy). But while this kit is pretty solid and has survived a shelf dive or two, he also feels like a ticking time bomb. The shoulder pads are the worst, the C-clips they use to attach stress and break just from putting them on. One is totally broken and I keep the shoulder on with a thin wire threaded through the pad and tied around the shoulder. It's a shame that design choice is so horrible, but otherwise this kit isn't THAT bad. But please Bandai make an HGUC revive.
Its criminal how we haven't gotten new MGs of suits from stardust memory and and a new zeta gundam, great review as always. As with all kits I hope they last over time

Bandai should make a rg zephyranthes and full burnern 2.0 with better transforming gimicks and no molded inner frame since force impulse is a success and btw the name "chris p bacon" it is like naming a cow "miss steak"
The advantages of this scale is how light they are in comparison with the MG and PGs, poses are easy to make and nothing is too heavy to make it wobble, only bad thing is the early models all have that pre made internals that are very fragile sometimes, althouht I prefer 1/100 MGs, I have started building RGs because nowdays seems like new MGs are too far apart. And I mean NEW, not those re-releases of the unicorn with a different color or zakus with a different weapon, I mean new like the ZZ ver ka, or the barbatos or the Dynames

It's supposed to be 'Full Vernier', but the Japanese be Japanesing. It's the first gunpla I built and its biggest weakpoint is the core section that gets so weak, that you have to pose the top and bottom part and then assemble it. The knee sections are terrible, super loose connection for whatever reason and while I'd happily admit to have screwed up (being the first gunpla I did), the connection is just not that good. The inner frame on mine has held up super well though, especially considering I've posed it near a hundred times. In comparison, I built an RG-01 a week ago and the limbs immediately loosened to an uncomfortable degree. I love the shoulders, the head and backpack, I just took the vent covers off permanently and the contrast makes it look better. The top part of the chest with the V-fin logo really reminds me of the front of a 50's-60's car with a big brand ornament, I love it. It makes me want to get that massive (and massively expensive) bust with all the opening vents, hatches and lights. What I don't love are the massive red clown shoes, which I consider outright awful. Unless someone has a love for this particular MS, I wouldn't really recommend it. The midsection is just too weak.
My idea would be to buy two, one to glue/epoxy the torso together, and have it be the one for posing & dioramas, and a second one that I don't glue the torso.

Just finish builded this full bernern and I can't peg the shield to its arm slot. It droped all the time. The holding hand on the shield is not good either so I decided to not equiped the shield at all.
I need some help, im still confuse over want to choose between RG Zephyranthes or Full Burnern, whats the different? Please someone give me some detail☹️
Both are the impressive kits. I have build GP01 without full paint, just line paneling and little partially painted with the water decal. It looked great and realistic.

When I was first getting into Gunpla, I strongly considered getting this as my first RG, and third kit overall. While Gundam Wing was the childhood Gundam series of the time, 0083 was my childhood Gundam series followed by 8th MS Team. Ended up going with the Gundam Mk. II mostly because I wanted something much closer in appearance to RX-78-2 but with sharper lines and forms, plus slightly more bulk. Still not sure whether to wait for a MG 2.0 or maybe pick this up. Great review nonetheless!
"I wish it came with a bazooka" ....it didn't because no version (Anime or Manga) of GP-01fb ever used a bazooka or even carried one. It had the beam rifle and a larger beam "cannon" but that's it. I'm glad it didn't come with a weapon it didn't have but I do wish it had the cannon.

Aesthetic wise, the standard GP01 is the better-looking one imo. It has it own issues yes, but this is actually quite a decent kit and sturdy too despite being 'half-and-half'd. Might not be as good as the post unicorn rgs but these two could still hold themselves well. Really hoping for a 2.0 MG (or ver ka, even better!)

The HG Gunpla Revolution Project Zeta is pretty dang good, though the arms are a bit wonky.

Rg heads really are the best part of the model sometimes... the gp01, force impulse, astray, and sazabi stick out as some really excellent ones imo
My sazabis head is a little messed up because the clear part cracked after i put it on wrong

the RG gp01-Fb looks good, although I'm not a fan of those big feet. just looks a bit off to me, that's why proportion-wise I prefer the normal gp01

since i made mg strike rm framed models im curious how abs plastic builds up in RG
they were probably doing the shield hands in prep for the gp02 but then realized the arm couldn't hold the shield

you have to push the yellow parts on his chest further, it will make the yellow v pop out further and the cockpit hatch will close perfectly.

I built this kit and thought it was pretty good. Not as great as the newer RG's but still a decent kit. I love the GP series.
The feet articulation is weeker than the Zephyrantes.
