You got plenty of room for cupholders and phone holders in there. Also...you can put in electric power steering pretty easy...get a Chevy equinox unit and a black box (can find em online). They're small and light...so much so that we use them in our TQ midgets. You ll be able to put a knob to adjust the amount of power assist in the cockpit. They're great and about $800 all in. And only 2 wires.

Yeah, the cup engine would make the thing really unreasonable. Can't put 87 octane in a cup engine lol fuel alone would be ridiculous. It's supercharged now, 93 only, so we're getting a little more crazy. Still not cup level though!
It's a power rack. I could put power steering in quite easily, I think. An old muscle car pump would work. It's not too tough with manual steering though.
@@RightTurnRandy my asphalt late model has it. It's simply a small pump with a pulley and a bracket that mounts to the block. Then an aluminum power steering reservoir, all the necessary lines and you're good. That car looks awesome!

does it have turn signals, working brake/tail lights, and headlights? because if i were to build/buy a %100 authentic and street legal NASCAR stock car, what would always get me pulled over would either be the noise (although they make street legal exhaust kits that are almost as loud as they would be straight piped), or not having any tail lights or head lights

It will likely stay an SBC, at least for the meantime. I'm trying to keep it under wraps, but I'm thinking of hanging the hood in the garage and putting a 6-71 blower on the current short block. ;) If budget was unlimited, it would be getting a Ford Godzilla V8, a sprint car 410, or a custom street built RO7 from PME (That's what I REALLY want is an RO7)
I would kill for a late 90's early 2000's stock car from Nascar. I would even drive it daily as my only car. People say money can't buy happiness, but the gas money for this thing is well worth the smiles you get hearing that engine roar. 😎

Then go talk to some cops and ask what they would need to see for you NOT to get pulled over. I've chronicled everything I've done to the car on this channel, including making the car street legal.

If that's the case you'd think Googlie would have enough money to code the website to give me a warning (or just delete the link) At any rate, I have a link for thermo switches for less than $10 that can automatically trigger your fan relay. That way y0u can have manual control like normal, but a failsafe if you don't catch it. On the parking brake, Speedway make a pinion mounted disk brake with a mechanical caliper. I'm going to build one for my car using a Yamaha Big Bear ATV mechanical rear caliper. There's also a manually actuated line lock that can act as a parking brake. (that one's not a legal parking brake, but who cares, you've already got your tag). That one's pretty cheap and you could mount it on the brake line down by your right hand where the rear bias valve is. I'll try and find you on facebook again and send you the links if you want them. I finally got back on my rear axle. I got a new air fryer/toaster oven. The first thing I cooked was my Daytona pinion support, then a pizza, then my pinion bearing. lol I would send you link to the instagram post, but all this typing I just did might vanish to the land of left socks and boogers.
I paid around 10k for it running and driving. You can try to get one from stockcarsurplus on Instagram, I got mine on eBay. Quite rare to find one that's running and driving with any drivetrain, especially from a top 10 race team.
@@jackyyog190 It sure was super loose. It actually came out on me a few months later. It was held onto the mount with a hose clamp. I set the steering shaft back in and tightened the clamp. It's good now.

I was a huge Rudd fan as a kid. I saw one of these in person once at our Local JC Penny and I was literally in heaven. That car is a NASCAR icon.

Why not get a pulley driven Wilwood power steering pump? Do you have a manual Sweet rack or power rack?

im betting hes going with an LS. the best motor to think of is an aluminum truck LS with a holley EFI swap(the holley sniper throttle body setup)
plus im sure hes on a budget and what i said might be the best swap possible

On the parking brake, Speedway make a pinion mounted disk brake with a mechanical caliper. I'm going to build one for my car using a Yamaha Big Bear ATV mechanical rear caliper. There's also a manually actuated line lock that can act as a parking brake. (that one's not a legal parking brake, but who cares, you've already got your tag). That one's pretty cheap and you could mount it on the brake line down by your right hand where the rear bias valve is.

I finally got back on my rear axle. I got a new air fryer/toaster oven. The first thing I cooked was my Daytona pinion support, then a pizza, then my pinion bearing. lol

I paid around 10k for it running and driving. You can try to get one from stockcarsurplus on Instagram, I got mine on eBay. Quite rare to find one that's running and driving with any drivetrain, especially from a top 10 race team.

What is going on with the steering column it looks super loose….
@@jackyyog190 It sure was super loose. It actually came out on me a few months later. It was held onto the mount with a hose clamp. I set the steering shaft back in and tightened the clamp. It's good now.
Try to bringing it to racing events at a local race track or any NASCAR track to race it! That would be amazing!!
I won't be putting it on the track, but it's going to the Brickyard in a few weeks. I'm going to live out of it for four days.
