I don't think out of all the videos I've watched from Richard Gene "The Fishin Machine" ,and I've seen them all for a long time now, But The one I've Never seen you fish is aA Bass Jig , I think that's the one that I haven't had the pleasure of watching your presentation , modifications , etc,, , I know it's a favorite of mine this time of year , and it fits your style of cold water fishing , SLOW IT DOWN As you always say , Great advise too ,
I wore my 5 year old son out on fishing last year, cause it seemed like, nearly every time we went, we'd only catch a couple, if that. He always sees me watching your show. He'll stop by and watch it if he thinks it's near the end, where we'll both get a laugh and some big smiles. I was watching the other night, and your closing statements came across and the music came on. My boy was no where to be found (playing), when he came running into the living room hollering, "Oh no!! I missed it!" What's a Dad to do when his boy missed his favorite part, but rewind it and get the message through his head, so we can laugh together, and hopefully get that itch to go fishing with Dad again! That crawdad looked real! Thanks for the tips on how you fish it. It amazes me that you don't get hung up. I grew up fishing Toledo Bend and Sam Rayburn in East Texas when they had green, standing timber. You had to fish something like a Texas rig or you would get hung up every cast.
"Didn't catch any big bass like I expected to." Gene I'm telling you right now, I'm lucky to catch TWO bass up and down a good long line around Knoxville, TN haha. I'll catch plenty of catfish though.
One day Richard, you should ask a random shore angler if they would like to go fishing with you on your boat. Video or no video, I think that would definitely make that anglers day. Your videos are amazing by the way.

I went to shell island fish camp st mark fla last week; loved it. Cant say enough good things about the folks at the fish camp. Jeff and Cheryl are the best. Go see 'em ya'll. Very affordable lodging, boats and guides.
As far as sensitivity...a former co-worker and I were talking SEVERAL years ago about spending $300 on a G-Loomis rod...another..non-fishing..co-worker asked...WHY would you pay that much for a fishin pole???? My buddy's response was classic...if I hit a soda can with a plastic worm...in 25 ft water...I can tell you if it's Coke or Pepsi !! 🤣

Lake I'll keep a few Spots every now and then for Dad to eat and there's been many times when I filet em they'll have 2 or 3 Crawdads in stomach as well as couple rocks. Which I can see how they pick up few rocks sometimes when they eat the craw off bottom. But I wouldn't think they pass the rocks rather regurgitate em back up right?? I just thought of that guy that had lead weights in his fish lol guess the rocks would be legal . Never thought of it that way ,so be best if fishing tournament to get on some fish that are feeding on craw that way you have good chance of having few extra ounces being rocks lol . We got Rocks!!! Thx for all ya do !!

Always amazed at bass being caught in the winter. Never had much luck at it. Huge cold snap has ice on the lakes here in Kentucky. Wind chill was 27 below zero.

I've changed over to all spinning reels. I don't have any issues with gear while fishing now. I can get the same gear ratios as baitcasters and I can use the same rods so no need for that argument that baitcasters are superior because it's a lie
I have always caught more fish on spinning tackle than all others combined. Thanks so very much for sharing your knowledge with us and God Bless you……..

I have never had luck with ultra realistic crawfish lures. I'm a gitzit guy, however these floating crawdad plastics look awesome.
