Bitsy bug and bitsy flip jigs are my favorite finesse jigs. The bitsy flip has a wider gap hook leaving more room for a trailer. A three inch chiggercrawl is the stuff. Thanks for the info of your modification to the jig. I’m gonna try it.

I just ordered one of those reels from 13 fishing you were using, went with a cast king rod 6ft 10 medium fast. I always enjoy your videos..this one cost me about $350 by ordering lol...love it
LOL $350 for a off brand junk reel? You must love throwing $ away. Let's see where it's at in 32 yrs after 1000's of fish from Crappie,Carp,Striper,etc.... 1990 +/- Shimano Citica 201b was somewhere around $110 from a local shop...and is still a great reel.

When I used to have my boat, I used to love to use a bass jig for channel cats where I live. It happened by accident the first time, then I started targeting them. Always this time of year.

Great lure and great video as always you should get you a Ranger net I've put some huge fish in it and the rubber holes are about a inch makes life easy with no hooks getting stuck or breaking anything.

Here in north central Texas we're 30 something days above 100 degrees 10-15 hot breeze and near 10 inches below on rain. Thank God for sharing the sunlight. Flatheads hits great on bass lures, when the water is a little dirty I throw a white paddle tail swim bait with the red eyes on it and I catch tremendous amounts of flatheads and smallies

I have fished a local quarry pond for many years and caught some nice fish, always throw purple or pumkinseed natural colors . I toss out a black and chartreuse beetle spin color plastic swim bait and caught a 8 lb bass, and 2 big catfish in three casts. Try black and chartreuse plastics

Crank baits on rip rap or in timber, spinnerbaits in grass, and dark colored jigs on rocky shorelines are working for me right now in Oklahoma. Water temps from 85-90 depending on the lake. Might bust out a drop shot along steep drop offs and damns if nothing else works.
Hey Richard, love your videos! I'm surprised that you didn't mention the different way to pull the fish in using the net. (ie. The catfish vs bass.) I've seen so many people break the handle on the net by trying to hoist large fish in the boat while holding the handle horizontal to the water. Thanks again! 🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟

Ah yes, the dreaded tree fish came ashore and attacked your fence. I've lost count of the number I've had to deal with over the years- 8 in the last 3 years, maybe? The one absolutely indispensable tool, I've found, is the Woodchuck timber jack- it all but eliminates stuck blades and makes positioning and stabilizing easy. I'm not paid or affiliated with them, but maybe someone will benefit from the recommendation- cutting and loading timber is hard work without the additional frustration. Plus, they're durable and made in the USA.
Not even the pros can fish like this man. AND he loves the lord!!!!! Don't get no better. A fisher of men. I love you, Richard.
