This issue occurred to me a few weeks ago and I didn't do anything about it until I found your video. I decided to try the method after some mental prep. I eventually got to it and after an hour or two I managed to get rid of the lines and everything looks almost perfect. There is only one line left, however it looks a little bit different than the other ones and it is more visible on the right side of the screen. I tried to remove it as well but wasn't able to. Nonetheless, thank you for the video! It really helped and I can now enjoy using the monitor once more (at least until it breaks down again, but I may buy a new one if worse come to worst).
Worked great here!! did like 2 more lines by accident but it worked fine and the image looks great! ty so much dude, you saved my life and pockets hehe
Thanks for the video. It's hard to believe that blocking 14 signal wires solve the issue without losing any functionality. They are there for what then?
@DaRooMN Hi, I have the issue with the left panel, however, the horizontal lines affects ONLY the bottom half of my screen, not the entire screen like in this video. Do you recommend I should still cover the 1st 9 pins? Thank you
Hello thank you so much. It worked for me. Your video was very easy to understand. Mine was the other ribbon and the tape to block is flipped- no 1 to 14 starts from the left
Sir maraming salamat sa tutorial. Naayos ko na monitor ko dahil sa guide na to. Although na pabili pa ako nung bagong monitor nakaraan. Sayang. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much, This worked for me. Although I managed to get to small noticeable black dots on my screen now, but apart from that everything works fine.
After fixing the horizontal lines, a vertical line showed up in the middle of the monitor. Tried checking whether it was because of the tape and it wasn't. It came up after I removed both ribbon cable. Is there a fix for this?
I have the same problem, my question is, does changing the resistors solve it? and put tape on the 14 pins, how long does it work before it breaks down again?
I did it 6 months ago, and I'm starting to have issues now, but I don't know if it's related. The image starts going black, as though the cable becomes disconnected. But I tried different cables and the issue is happening in both, in both dpi ports also. However.. it only occurs for a few minutes, and then is gone again for a few days. But I expect it will continue getting worse so at this point I'm just preparing to buy a new monitor. I am definitely never buying Xiaomi products again, that's for sure
you need to mirror the pin you cover from the video. video is show for the right side. in the case of left side, you should cover all-first 14 pin counting from the left.
Hello i have problem with mi monito, no picture, but backlight is on. I tried taking of left side panel ribbon and the picture is ok. I cant find which connection should be shorted.
I just taped off a random section lol, and it worked. The cable had a vaguely darkened stripe there, but I'm not sure if that was related. That's where I put the tape
Thou it works... ano pong logic ng pag block nung "cignal"? bakit nung blinock yung cignal ay naging maayos? curious lang po. I will try this also on my monitor, got the same issue. Sana maayos din....
@@user-uz4zq5fd5z Yes sir. Mine issue was on the left side, I just blocked the 14 "cignal" as shown in the video. Works like a charm, thanks to the uploader. Hoping that this works for you as well, gl mate.

You probably cover wrong pin. The video is showing if you have problem in the right panel. If you have problem in the left panel. You need to cover all-first 14-pin counting from the left instead of the right show in the video
stupid comment. the xiaomi logo always shows up for a second or so when you turn on the monitor. have you even owned a monitor? almost all of them do that. and then the pioneer logo is there because he connected a pioneer dvd player to test the monitor. stupid!
You are a savior. 1 or 2 hours in (majority spent on getting the tape size right), It worked!!!!!

Did the lines on your screen look the same as in the video, or were they pixel thin horizontal black lines?

Thank you very much for the video. I used your method to fix horizontal stripes on the bottom of the screen. Cheers!
Thank you so much! It worked perfectly on my monitor-you're truly a lifesaver.
Thank you for this! I was able to fix my Mi Curved Monitor (right data ribbon, taped right most 14-pins!)
Thank you so much. This helped me fix my monitor!!! Although I had to get a magnifying glass to see the pins correctly 😄
Thanks a lot. This worked for me. There's a small mark on the screen but I can live with that. Image quality is perfect
For those who have the issue with the left panel, cover the first 9 pins on the oposite side (left to right)
Thanks for the video , it helped 🙏

Thanks for the video, it helped me.
In my case, it happened with the left side connect. So, i need to cover all-first 14 pin (counting from left)

any solution for this?

dude no way... i taped off a vaguely similar spot and i think it worked. I still have some vague stripes, but the flashing white/green lines are gone
what if both sides are broken can it be fix by just putting tape both sides?
just to make sure, this is considered a problem with the panel right? not the tcon or mainboard?
Hi sir, i would like to ask if I can buy those flat cables online? also I want to ask how many pins are those?
