A gentleman gave me, as a gift, a SLOT Pipe Band CD with this track on it. Upon listening to the CD, I heard this tune played and immediately fell in love with the melody. I determined to learn all about Father Murphy of County Wexford and his courageous fight to defeat "the Crown". I also determined to learn the tune. After locating the setting by Jack Lee, I've been enjoying playing the tune often and, when the opportunity presents itself, I will share the story of Father Murphy. Great old Irish tune!
