I think it would be cool if there was more between Martian Manhunter and Green Lantern.
Even though John was angry at the Martian for attacking Hawkgirl, MM is a character that looks at everything very objectively. Even though he respects everyone on the team and calls himself a protector of earth, he is the only one who truly knows the significance of the Green Lantern core and acknowledges that this is the Lanterns designated sector, so he is the true protector of them. So he sees John higher up in the hierarchy as anyone else. Maybe a previous Lantern could have even died in the war on mars, trying to protect the green martians. That would give another reason why J'onn thinks so highly of Green Lanterns.
If the destruction of xanshi is portrayed here that would add another dynamic to their relationship.
THis is incredibly well done and definitely worth the wait. The only gripe I have is that in the JL animated series, the betrayal of Hawkgirl hit hard because we had come to lover her dynamic and relationship with the team. The thanagarian story being in the first movie kind of dulls that. Also the romance between John and Shayera felt rushed. But other than that, love what you have done with this universe.

I think it would be cool to connect Carter Hall/Hawkman/Emperor to the Justice Society. Basically I would have him fight on the team as Hawkman, but during the war he becomes disgusted with humanity and returns to Thanagar. This would give him build up as the villain for Justice League and connectivity with characters. Wonder Woman could talk about how she fought with a Hawk-Like warrior similar to Shiera. Flash could mention how he saw someone that looked like that in the JSA photo. Tbh this isn't that big of a deal cuz this movie is already perfection.

He fought to protection humans, then proceeds to take over their planet for resources and economics advantage? That part needs to be changed for it to work. I think he should be the opposite of Wonder Woman, losing faith in humanity and turning into a dictator wanting to lead humans to a better world.
I'm honestly astonished by how this story is not only heartfelt, but feels like an actual dc movie.

Absolutely loved it!! I think the fight scene with AMAZO is slightly underdeveloped though. I think Martian Manhunter defeats AMAZO a bit too quickly. It would have been nice to see the league realize that they need to defeat the android by exploiting their weaknesses against it. This would have demonstrated the level of trust they have in each other by revealing their vulnerabilities. Maybe MM delivers a heavy hit, not a fatal hit, against AMAZO before going off tangent to fight Hawkgirl. The league is now put in a position to defeat AMAZO as quickly as possible before they can assist Hawkgirl. This would also give MM vs Hawkgirl more time to fight before GL and the rest of the league intervene.
I mean.. He's Martian Manhunter.. and obviously if the scene were to actually play out, it'd be definitely longer and grander. You also have to take in to the fact that this is just a concept and an idea. But I do get where you're going here.

I was thinking they reveal their weaknesses showing the intimate bond they have with each other strengthening their friendship then batman using that to make an intelligent plan involving Martian man hunter to defeat amazo. Fantastic idea! You really understand the core of these characters and want to see the ideal versions of them on the big screen like me. We don't need any variations that make them unheroic, cynical, or plain. We need more directors like Reeves and Wan who are actual fans of the characters and wish to bring them to the rest of the world
That's why I am very hopeful for the future of the DCEU, now officially labelled the DC Universe/DC Studio's all under James Gunn and Peter Safran's supervision. Hopefully we'll see a return for DC and since both of them are comic book fans we'll likely a resurgence of these legendary icons, and further expansion of much deserved character's and amazing stories.
Especially with their announcement to work alongside writers, director's and visionaries to give us the best stories they can.
Feels good to be a DC fan once again.

James Gunn knows his material, but he's Definitely going to make some changes depending on who he decides to put more focus on. He's an Indy-creator at heart.
The core of most heroes is doing what they Think is right which doesn't always line up with other heroes way of going about "Justice." Characters are going to have highs & lows like anyone else throughout their life.
this may come as a surprise to some people but if it weren't for josstice league happening, superman would've evolved into superman much faster. Zack wanted to flesh them out and slowly let them become who they're meant to be.

I think it world be interesting if a end credits scene could feature a setup for Darkseid, much like Thanos in avengers. DeSaad interrogating a Thanagarian soldier, telling him how foolish his leader was to encroach on Apokalips territory.

This is justice league. Its so reminiscent of the animated movies and shows, and you've truly captured the characters perfectly!! Masterpiece indeed. Bravo.
That's a cool idea, and I think you really addressed the problem with what DC has been doing. Making the JL gods lording over men and trying to copy Marvel isn't working. Making them the heroes of the people and focusing on a story rather than the fights is so important. I've also been interested in seeing more of Batman the detective rather than just gritty action movies.
A really excellent pitch! The one place it feels thin for me is when Shayera gets her memories back. If she's married to the Emperor and was entrusted with the responsibility of taking Earth, she's got to have been pretty deep into Thanagarian ideology and the very few interactions with Earth and John thus far don't strike me as enough to completely shatter that worldview. She cannot have been the first Thanagarian agent to have grown a conscience during conquest and reconsidered allegiances, so my guess is Thanagar would have prepared her for suddenly developing feelings for the people she's setting up to be conquered.
Earth needs to be established as having something beyond natural beauty, a handsome man, and righteous people fighting for their home for us to believe she'd choose a place she's spent less than a week over her culture, husband, identity, and everything she's ever known.
This wouldn't be so important was Shayera's conversion to the heroes' side not the lynchpin of the film.
To be clear, this pitch is fantastic in the layers and character moments for nearly all the characters and the development they go through. It's truly something to be proud of!
I agree I feel like this should be the second film to see Shiera interact with the team more, maybe appearing in Green Lantern show too continuing her relationship with John and spending more time. I think that’s why Starcrosses worked so well. We had grown to know Hawkgirl and see her relationship with the other heroes grow for a long time and her time on Earth, that makes her betrayal that much bigger. I feel like if her introduction is her betrayal we won’t really care. The story itself is good though just seems too quick.

Thank ypu, I wonder why people don't bring this up. It all seems too fast for the audience and the fictional JL to form a connection to her, which really takes from the impact.
This story could really work as a sequel with a bittersweet ending (empire strikes back style). We would also have more time to introduce the JL characters

Someone who understands the core of these characters we love so much and understands the world surrounding them truly amazing hopefully this can be a true film one day with someone that shares your knowledge and care and understanding of these characters amazing work would love to see a part 2.❤️
This was spectacular I really hope there is a second one. This is something that I would watch like a billion times. It’s amazing how one person can create something so beautiful and simple that captures the Justice League so well. Keep it up SUPER FRAME.
Awesome idea! Love how most of your pitch focus on the heroes meeting and investigating a mystery (hawkgirl lost memories and Luthor kidnapping meta-humans) that leads to the big alien invasion rather than the typical "villain arrives, heroes have difficult working together, villain is ready to execute his master plan, heroes now get along and save the day".
The only criticism I have is making Katar Hol into villain. I think you could introduce him later as member of the JSA, an archeologist who found the nth metal and became hero, then when he meets Shayera he could reveal that they are reincarnations of thanagarian prince and his wife, creating drama for Shayera and her relationship with John.
That whole thing with Kartar Hol could be explored even more in a Hawkgirl spinoff film with John Stewart as a supporting character and Shadow Thief as the villain. Basically, a feature length remake of that episode of Justice League Unlimited where they revealed their backstory in Egypt. Plus, it would be a good time to explore the social repercussions of Hawkgirl continuing hero work after the Thanagarian invasion. Maybe part of it is that she has to gain the public’s trust before she can join the League full time and that’s why John is the only one who shows up to help. That and because it’s not a big enough threat to warrant the whole team getting involved.
@@lewisholiman9237 And adaptation of this part of the arc could work, although one villain I would love to see in Hawkgirl/Hawkman spin off, in the place of the Shadow Thief, is Hath-Set, who not only was Hawks first villain but has strong connection with both: Just like Carter and Shayera are reincarnation of Prince Khufu and Princess Chay-ra, Hath Set is the reincarnation of the one who killed them. Every time the Hawks reunite, Hath Set appears and kills them. This could create a nice contrast between the heroes and the villain: While Hath Set is obsess in just repeating this circle, both Carter and Shayera learn to break free from this circle, with Carter accepting Shayera choices rather than letting them being control by fate.

I always said that, if Hawkman had his own film/tv series, it should be the Assassin Creed of the DC universe, with flashback showing his different lifes and roles in the DC mythology and interaction with other historical dc heroes like Etrigan, Jonah Hex, the JSA maybe even Nightwing from Krypton (whose legend Superman told Dick Grayson, inspiring him to create his new identity).

One issue I wanted to point out, is that Finn Wittrock is older than Robert Pattinson.
The plot sounds solid but...
I would like it if the tension moment between the team in the forest was a little bit heavy similar to the avengers tension moment in the movie.
When Bruce deems Hawkgirl as a threath to earth and starts walking torwards her only to have John standing in his way between him and Hawkgirl, John would say that he is a threath to earth and tells Batman to back off and Batman continues to look deep into John's green eyes in his green lantern form and notices that John is not afraid of him and Batman asks John what would he do if he doesn't back off and John replies by saying you seriously don't wanna know and then John loses the green aura and uniform around him and he sees Batman holding his ring and everyone around is surprised because they didn't notice it not even the Flash and Batman asks John that he seriously wants to know what he will do if he doesn't back off and Batman and John fight but Batman is superior to John without the ring and he tells John in front of others that he is not whining for not being flashy as them or anything but he tells John to keep in mind that he can do a lot more than him without the powers of the ring and then the heroes get conflicted on which side to take because Batman was kind of a douche but he needed to get straight to the point.
The other heroes in this scene seem like they are very static but that is because i don't want to turn this comment into something longer than it already is so yeah this is it but the goal is to start planting the seeds to make the heroes recognize each other and to make Batman look like a badass and a douche.
Eh I never liked the idea of Batman being able to swipe the GL ring. Just makes him too op to me

I agreed with your first point but the second one falls flat, batman isn't "superior" to Jon. I don't even understand why hawkgirl should be afraid of batman in the first place when she would defeat him. I prefer this dudes version in my opinion. And I agree the whole avengers tension is unnecessary

Hopefully James Gunn is smart and he doesn’t build a cinematic universe. Instead we get individual trilogies like nolan trilogy.

Yeah but people tend to forget that Bruce Timms JL started not long after Superman had tried to take over the world in the name of Darkseid. It's why the government created Cadmus.

I do wonder, how would you approach solving the Flash problem? As in, super speed being the absolutely most overpowered ability possible. He basically could one shot all of the Thanagarians. With Superman, you can just say he doesn’t have crazy super speed that lets him move around like a blur, but with the flash, it’s his whole thing.
I think he should be nerfed. I think Martian man should be nerfed as well by 40%, superman should be needed 20%.
Well being flying aliens would certainly be an issue to hinder him a little
The best way to handle that is to make him inexperienced with his powers and still relatively new to being the Flash, he also can start off fast, but not that fast. And probably has a hard time being able to stop when he runs, so he’d rather be careful. And over time as his story progresses, he gets faster as his connection to the Speed Force grows stronger, he’s able to get a grasp on being able to stop without crashing or hitting something, he learns new abilities like speed thinking and throwing lighting, that kind of thing, and he’s mentored by Jay.
Can you please go through the entire slate of your planned DC universe. Like include the Batman 3, Justice league sequels, all leading up to the big bad just like the MCU did! This video is fantastic!
All these movies should build up to a infinity crisis movie imagine how awesome and emotional it would be I get chills thinking about it
This has been a fantastic series to watch! Obviously the stories are fantastic but my favorite parts are hearing your breakdowns on these characters. You have a keen eye for what they are supposed to represent. I can't wait to see more.
Hey, superframe, I know you probably won't see this, but this pitch is MOSTLY great. the only problem I have so far is that the plot kicks off WAY too fast. If it were me, I'd have one scene for almost every Leaguer before the film starts to establish who they are. Maybe a scene of Clark in Metropolis doing his own thing, trying to save everyone from a building fire before everything. Maybe a scene with Iris to further establish Barry's ideology, perhaps compare and contrast that to Lois and Clark's relationship, Lois saying Clark is stretching himself too thin. Maybe a scene showcasing who Jon is in space, establishing his love for earth by him saying he's "happy to be going back home." Maybe a scene with Batman where we can establish his distrust in Gotham and also tip him off to Luthor's plans.
I just think the movie starts off and goes too fast right at the beginning, and maybe showcasing all the characters in their ordinary situations would help a little bit.

I have never seen your channel before until today. I heard Dexter Brittains the time to run while you were talking about Hawk girl’s Origin story, and I immediately subscribed. Not only do I love this content and how much heart and soul you have put into this video, but I started writing the first few pages to one of my own stories to that song, so it absolutely resonated with me!

Been watching these videos to solidify and work on my characters for my own comic book, over the course of watching SUPER FRAME I've learnt the value of humanizing our heroes and show their love and care for the world and people they protect. I guess it's not all about the cool super powers and explosions and plot twists, those are neat and all but characters, man those are important. I know you probably won't see this but thank you for your work on these videos, you're an inspiration to some writers and book/comic readers and fans out there.
It's nice how themes in this are carried throughout 'your series'. Something the MCU hasn't been able to do. That slowing down line by the Flash was massive.

@@shism28 I mean they can work. Have you considered, the Thanagarian are doing this, for a certain, big bad dictator, who have a big bad chin? Have them be one of the many world that is under Darkseid rule who was either forced to submit or was bought by the Apocalypse Dictator

You know what might help as well as set things apart from how Marvel did things is to do preliminary crossover movies
The first crossover DC should do is the world's finest Batman Superman.
The next crossover might be Flash / Green lantern. That one should be a buddy cup movie with two superheroes.
Then maybe a world's finest sequel subtitled Trinity. I'm sure you can guess who's joining the party there.
Your use of both the Speed Racer and Star Trek OSTs in this and your other videos always draw me right into the stories you tell! They're so fitting for Flash and GL!

The point you made about unique personalities makes me think about an idea I had about a Justice League movie if I wrote a script. A personality trait I would give to every character, but still unique to each League member. That would be a favorite musician/band. With Superman, I would make his either John Denver, Bon Jovi, or Bruce Springsteen and the E. Street Band. As for Batman, I have heard from Linkara that Batman hates Rock music, so I would go with an artist unique to him. For Batman, I would probably go with Tom Waits. As for the Flash, I would do something to set up a character arc for him and Green Lantern (here, Hal Jordan). With Green Lantern, I would go with Van Halen. And the Flash, also Van Halen. The difference being that GL is a fan of Van Halen with David Lee Roth, while Flash is a fan of Van Halen with Sammy Hagar. This would spark a rivalry between the two. As for the rest, I don't know. I think that I would like to contemplate each member's respective favorite artist.

HawkGirl suddenly remembering when promped is rushed, and the invasion force is underdeveloped here.
But both of these can easily be fixed:
HawkGirl should start remebering quickly, but piece by piece. We see the culture and world of the invasion force when Green Lanter talks of it and when HawkGirl remebers something new, maybe in her dreams. Maybe she even remembers she's a spy, but is scared to say.
Honestly, I don’t buy Sheira switching to the League’s side. There’s really only one scene where she gets to see the beauty of Earth. Sure, she’s there with the others, but she seems very unimportant in a lot of the other scenes. I think you should’ve had either more build up or have Diana be forced to convince her.
This is not a bad idea. I like how you bring the trinity together. But I don't like how they fight each other. Too similar to the 'trinity' fight in Avengers. Also, it makes Wonder Woman into a hot head and based on this story she would have let Batman plunge to his death. Similarly, Flash and Green Lantern fight each other when they first meet. True heroes wouldn't be so quick to attack each other. Otherwise, this is a really nice job.

Long ago before Aquaman and Mera met each other, the princess of Xebel was sent by Orm to assasinate Arthur Curry but then after she accidentally murdered Arthur's biological father Thomas, she redeem herself discovering that Arthur's life was not to take away because he was an innocent one as also it was his father, then after a time she felt in love with each other and decided to become king and queen of Atlantis after they dethroned Orm years ago, but now Hila aka Siren a Xebelian Assasin and twin sister of Mera joins with Black Manta to finish the job of killing Aquaman and take over not just Atlantis but the entire planet, Aquaman and Mera must stop the 2 terrorists which will also cost their marriage when Aquaman discovers that Mera was the masked assasin who tried to kill him and who killed his father.

Perhaps instead of Hawkgirl getting amnesia what if she volunteers to infiltrate earth because something about earth is drawing her in. And then her character conflict is because of her reincarnation backstory. All the other thanagarians just see earth as a place to conquer but when she arrives she feels déjà vu. She remembers living here centuries ago, she remembers being human. Film continues roughly as you outlined but carter hall isn't part of the thanagarian force, she sees his face though in one of her visions from her past life. Then at the end of the film we see the modern incarnation of carter hall as a regular human civilian watching the justice league on TV and recognising hawkgirl somehow.

Hey Mitch this incredible, honestly these dc movie pitches are the best I've heard, even better than the mcu. Maybe after a break you should continue to expand this universe. You've got something here. I always love hawkgirl from the animated series and this is the coolest story I've heard incorporating her, noone really knows how to do it without Hawkman. The actual development of these characters are awesome and you really take you're time to understand who the characters are. I would love to see your take a bat family movie or teen titans I think that bee cool
i feel like it would have been better for him to have not included Hawkman as the thanagarian emperor but made the emperor someone else (maybe to keep some drama it could be hawkgirls father or something idk) i think that would help separate her from Hawkman and allow for some story with Hawkman in later films. he's an underrated character in my opinion and deserves some spotlight, most times they make him kinda a jerk, but they could do a hawkworld type of story that'd be a cool movie!

This was an excellent Justice League movie. I think that the Invasion plotline works very well, especially since it can open up a dialogue for Amanda Waller to express that The U.S. needs to have its own team to defend itself. I was glad to experience this; I hope you continue to hone your craft!

Every scene with Superman shows him smiling. Batman feels like the leader and feels like BATMAN. You have women characters that are good characters not just because they're women. *BARRY ALLEN* isn't Wally, but everything that Barry is as the mature heart of the League.
And best of all... Cyborg isn't a founding member of the JL.
I can’t decide what would be a better sequel to this between the White Martians and the Legion of Doom.
The White Martians would be good because J’onn J’onzz easily has the potential to be the emotional heart of a JL movie. It could also be used to give him a special dynamic with Hawkgirl where they’ve both faced off against natives of their own planets, but with it meaning something different to each of them; one changing allegiances and the other avenging the loss of his family.
The Legion of Doom would be great as well both for the sheer novelty of seeing the superhero team vs supervillain team trope done on the big screen for the first time and because it could be used to expand on the theme of humanity. Led by Lex Luthor and Joker, the two prime examples of humanity at its worst, it would question the way that the members of the League see mankind because it’s now proven to be capable of producing a force of evil that matches its most powerful force for good. That it’s easy to see the beauty in humanity when defending it from an external threat like the Thanagarians, but but not as much so when defending it from itself.
Both concepts have loads of potential and we could theoretically get both if one were JL2 and the other were JL3. But I think it’s more likely that the third film would just fall back on the final boss shtick with one of the big bads of the DC universe like Darkseid or the Anti-Monitor.
Joker isn't the best pick for a team, to say the least. As for Luthor, he'd be better as a mastermind behind the Legion, operating from shadows, with someone like Bane as a field leader (he leads a revolution, so leading a team of villains wouldn't be too hard of a task).

I agree on some things like the White Martians and the Legion of Doom but I have my own roster for the Injustice league also I would have Despero, Dr Destiny and Mongul
@@srstriker6420 Mongul would be great pick. I also thought of House of Zod as potential villains (I really liked Zod in Young Justice, this portrayal was a breath of fresh air for his character in my opinion) for one of the future movies.
Another advantage the White Martians have as villains is their powers being similar to J'onn, incluing mind reading and telepathy. Much like Grodd did in the "Secret Society" episode in the JL cartoon, they could use their mental powers to bring out some secrets, fears, resentments and doubts JL members have about each other, messing with their teamwork and making the team vulnerable. For exemple: They could have Hawkgirl slowly distrusting J'onn, feeling that her decisions weren't made by her choice but rather because J'onn change her mind (after all if took her memories away he could change as well); They could cause the league to become distrust of Batman when he defeat one of the white martian with trap he made originally for J'onn, in case he turn against the heroes, and so on.
Super love this! I sincerely hope the new DC Cinematic Universe does something this heartfelt.
Note though: I don't think Batman would release a bunch of Metahumans knowing full well that Amazo can absorb metahuman powers. Might be a significant plothole to this.
I'd rather have the Justice League figure out a better way to defeat Amazo than to just have Martian Manhunter do it for them ngl
But apart from that, I super love the story. So heartfelt and reminiscent of the Justice League cartoon
I know it's been a year since this came out, but this is the best Justice League movie of all time. Also, best DC Cinematic Universe I've seen. It's so perfect.
You want to do it right? Then follow these two basic rules:
1) Follow closely to the Alex Ross classic designs.
2) Leave out the WOKE.
Those rules sound great, they really need to use the 2nd rule more if they even think about making a DC universe
