I hope James Gunn is watching your videos. The key to having a cohesive universe is developing a plan like this and hiring directors willing to carry out that vision. That’s what the animated movies do. The problem is you might lose out on directors who want to tell their own stories like Matt Reeves
I agree thing is most directors can still tell their own story with in the guidelines of the universe and the characters they are handling, they can still be true to their style while being true to the characters themselves some directors don’t get that but Matt does
You repeatedly remind me how amazing DC characters are and how great their stories can be. They’ve just been treated terribly in live action too many times. I hope James Gunn is working at least as hard as you are putting together these outlines. I’m still rooting for DC!
Outside from some points (ex: Robin stories felt rushed, Hades being a villain is huge misconception) , this was another great idea! As someone who also makes pitches, I understand what it's like when comes to make pitches with too much details. I also come across points that I feel could be improve. Of all the films you mention, I have suggestion for your Green Arrow film: Considering how Oliver story is basically "Iron Man journey" (a arrogant billionarie get stuck in place, learns humility and returns to society), to avoid comparisons, your pitch could adapt Oliver queen origin, but not having him return to Star City until the end of the film, giving him a more "road travel" type of hero's journey. Taking some inspiration from Green Arrow Year One, Oliver, while learning how to survive in the island, could learn that he is not alone in that place. He would meet natives who were enslave by Count Vertigo (with the help of his right-hand China White) and forced to work in the production of drugs. Anyone who challenges his authority is arrest taken to his palace in the country of Vlatava. This could result in a big character moment for Oliver, as he free the natives and, despite having the chance to return to Star City, he chooses to go to Vlatava, to rescue the people captured by Vertigo and take down his criminal empire. In this adventure, he could have the help of Roy Harper (he could be one of the natives Oliver rescued) and Black Canary (she could be the daugther of one the JSA members, investigating Vertigo criminal organization). Also Oliver and Dinah could even meet in the island, with Oliver trying to capture a bird, only to see Dinah and says "Oh, hello, pretty bird!". It would also be cool if in the big confrontation between Oliver and Vertigo, they discuss the villains actions, with him showing no regret for what he did to the natives, telling Oliver how he doesn't care about lower class like them, making Vertigo into basically a contrast to Oliver and also as reflection of what the hero could had become if he hadn't got the development in the island. Plus close the circle of Oliver arc: He started as arrogant spoil billionaire, he ended as heroic figure protecting the people he once ignored, from corrupt wealthy criminals.
Another way to improve on Oliver’s story that I thought of a while back is to make it that when he returns to Star City, he starts fighting crime as Green Arrow right away but waits at least a year before he reveals himself to be alive as Oliver Queen. Not only would it be a more affective way to prevent people from making the connection than the stunt he pulled with Diggle in that one episode of Arrow, but it would force him to operate among the lower class citizens of the city. Having to do everything himself without his family’s resources, he empathizes with the people who he protects so that he can help them even more once he does reveal himself to the public and regain access to his family’s wealth that he previously abused for self-gain. Not only would he upgrade his crime fighting with better gear and a high-tech layer as Green Arrow, but he would become a philanthropist as Oliver Queen.
@@lewisholiman9237 100% agreed. This is why I wouldn't have Oliver returning to Star City yet in my pitch, but rather showing him i this global adventure, interacting with the low class people, seeing all the problems they go through and deciding to find solution and help these people he once ignored. Having Vertigo be the main villain could also work to open Oliver eyes, as he see and the injustice and cruelty that exist outside from Star City and it's luxury.
I think it’s WAY too early to do Red Hood because remember, Dick Grayson became Robin in the second movie, so skipping pretty much all of his time as Robin and then also skipping Jason Todd’s time is Robin feels more than a little rushed. It doesn’t really fit for a trilogy. Red Hood would fit better if he was the villain for a 5th or 6th Batman movie.
I really like this plan but my only problem with it is how quickly we're removing Robins. It feels as though we're rushing through Robins to get to their other solo hero alias'. I like introducing Dick at the beginning of the Batman 2 and having him be a part of the entire movie, but having a Nightwing project in phase 2 means that he has to leave off screen between projects or at the beginning of the project, which would mean Jason replaces him very quickly. Also how old is Dick in The Batman 2 if he is to be Nightwing very soon? Then there's Jason. I love the idea of an under the Red hood story but I think it would be better in phase 3. I feel as though we're rushing to Red hood if under the red hood is in phase 2, because that would mean Jason would have to be killed in the same project he's introduced in (Nightwing) or he would have to be killed and revived in the same Project (The batman 3). For me I would introduce him in Nightwing, have him be in an episode or two, and show how he differs from Dick as a Robin, then have him be killed in The Batman 3, and then do the under the red hood story for The Batman 4 in phase 3. This way we can get more time with Jason as a Robin, his death can be more impactful and be a driving motivation for Batman in the final third of the movie. We could also show how close Batman comes to killing Joker because of Jason's death and how much it pains him to not kill him, this could then come back in The Batman 4. Having Red hood in The Batman 4 means letting Jason's death linger for a few years (to the viewers) and it would allow him to be the main antagonist(?) to Batman for the movie, and Jason and Bruce can have the argument as to why Bruce didn't kill the Joker. We could also see a far more violent and bitter side of Bruce in Justice league two, and have the other members help him with his grief and move on and accept Jason's death. That's just my idea anyways, I obviously don't know your plans for phase three are but those would be the changes I make.
Honestly I feel the same way. I would want to see the robins with Batman a little more. I am fine with night wing going off. However when it comes to Jason I would want to see more of his robin. Like you said in the video Jason becoming the red hood in that time frame feels right. A good place to introduce red hood could be after the justice league movie into the 3rd phase. Would be a nice shocker after bat mans plans had almost torn apart the justice league.
I love the idea of Tower of Babel being adapted in the second JL movie, but if I could make one small change, I would replace Aquaman with Shazam/Captain Marvel. I feel like his youthful energy, bright optimism, and literal childlike wonder would help bring the league back together after falling apart. Now, Aquaman could do that to, given that he's a king and is all about unity, and has a lot of wisdom, but Captain Marvel, with his kind of personality, just feels like the more natural pick to me.
i would add kid flash while dick is still robin, then maybe they can form the teen titans together. I think thats would be cool to have them in the universe
While I like most of you idea's your Batman and Nightwing one could use some reworking. I understand that Under Red Hood would make for a great movie but under the circumstances of this universe it feels kinda rushed. Dick becomes Robin in the second film then it jumps to Jason becoming Red Hood. It would make more sense for the third film to focus on the relationship between Bruce and Dick. You could take heavy inspiration from "Old Wounds" from BTAS like I am or do something more orignal but basically my pitch would go like this. Dick who is now graduating from High school or College, is entering a period of his life where he wants more independence from Bruce. He's seen the constraints that Bruce's never ending mission sets on his life. Meanwhile Bruce post Justice League is now aware of what potential threats live in this universe and is hyper focused on being Batman (and later in the movie stopping the Joker) that he ignores those around him. He's become more cold and distant than usual, often outright ignoring Dick entirely. Like missing his graduation or just not being there for him as a mentor figure in his life. All these emotions bottle up until the ending where after saving the day Dick has had enough of Bruce's shit and quits. You still have the same melancholy feeling ending like Red Hood but instead it is more narratively connected to the second film. From there that could lead into the Nightwing series you pitched or instead a Teen Titans series. You could also either end the Batman franchise here or make another film or two where Jason could be more fleshed out. I hope this comment doesn't come off as rude it's just something I thought could be worked on.
I don't like the actor because he is too old to nightwing. I would like to see brandon perea or Tanner Buchanan, but if nightwing is going to be in batman, the Brave and the Bold, I would like an Unknown actor And is one my favorite character I hope they can do a good job with him and it should be a nightwing movie not a show because it be Copying daredevil show
17:07 personally, I'd change Hades for Kronos. Despite what the Disney movie would have you believe, Hades isn't a particularly evil god. He does his job and does it well and only really causes problems for people who slight him or Persephone personally, or who are trying to raise the dead, since his whole job is to make sure the dead stay dead. He's also not imprisoned in the Underworld. He can leave it but chooses not to because he's committed to his job.
Your DC Universe is just as good as Bruce Timm and Paul Dini’s DCAU. I hope James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DC Universe is like this. I want to see animated and live action movies and shows on this.
I agree. His pitches for Superman, Green Lantern and Justice League are incredible, but he absolutely nailed everything I expect from a Flash movie as a big Flash fan in his pitch video. But unfortutely instead WB is gonna gave us that weird adaptation of Flashpoint with two Ezra Millers, the Batoldman, an alternate version of Supergirl, etc... This is not a Flash solo movie at all.
@@marciofilho2137 Its easy to poke holes when you're not the one risking your livelihood putting the project together. How about nerds raise money to make these films
I agree with a lot of this except for Nightwing and Batman it feels to early I think the third Batman movie should be about Batman and Robin splitting up and then a Nightwing show or film afterward introduce Jason and later do Red Hood
Let James Gunn and ALLLL the rest of the executives see this and hire you right NOW! These breakdowns of potential DC stories, movies and shows is really what the DCU should pretty much look like! 👏👏👌💯💯
Question about Justice League 2: would the movie include the members questioning the idea of Batman’s trust in them? I feel as if a good stepping off point for phase 3 would be the end of JL2 having Batman leaving the league. It could mark a point where he starts to revert back to a closed off man due to the Red Hood story and Dick leaving to be Nightwing + the events of the Justice League. It could set up a great redemption arc where he rejoins the League, adopts Tim Drake, and maybe even marries Selina
So everyone pointed this out but the swap from Dick to Jason as Robin was honestly really fast so here is what I propose. Make the third Batman movie introduced first. I would change the story to have the bad guy be Black Mask. Before the climax makes Dick walks away from his role as Robin to later reveal himself as Nightwing. At the end of the movie,, Nightwing would tell Batman that he is becoming his own hero. Have a post-credit seen that would reveal Jason Todd. The Nightwing Series would be next. This series would be Dick trying to be a protector of Gotham but also him trying to stray away from Batman. This series would be an introduction to Jason Todd as Robin. For story, I would make Baine the bad guy for two reasons. First I'd take a note from The Dark Knight Rises and expand the fact of Batman getting his back broken making Batman unable to fight crime making Nightwing have to step up. It would aslo give us a reason to learn more about Jason as Dick would have to be a big brother to the new Robin. Baine could also be a connection to the League of Assasains. Also during the climax of the first Batman movie Batman actually took some green substance that acts a lot like venom (the thing Baine takes to get swole. ) At the end of the series Nightwing makes the realization that to truly be out of Batman's shadow he has to find a place that needs his help, so he moves to bloodhaven. Nightwing season two is what I'd add next to the Batman series. This next season would have Dick facing Deathstroke. This season would show how Dick has become his own hero from Batman. This season would also reveal the death of Jason. After Jason's death Batman would start helping Dick find Deathstroke due to him believing Deathstroke killed him. The climax would have Batman and Dick facing Deathstroke and the League of Asssasains. Batman would also become more violent due to Jason's death so I'd imagine Batman would beat Deathstroke to death and Dick would have to fight a broken Batman. I see the fight as a battle between veangence and the idealogy that killing isn't the answer. Thematically this fight is between how Batman felt during the first movie between what he learned throughout the story as Nightwing would be able to remind him of who he once was. The ending would reveal Batman looking at the crime scene of Jason's as Batman would spot and pick up a Joker card. Also this takes place during phase 3 Now we are at the fourth movie which would now be the Red hood movie. I'd keep most of the original script the same but I'd add and change a few things like swapping back Black Mask and having Nightwing in the movie due to the his connection with Jason from the show. This is just how I build up to a Red hood movie and the passing of the torch of Robin's. edit* this change honestly isn't as cohesive to the narrative of the cinematic universe as it could be so here is a secondary pitch still fitting into the movies created. Personally I'd still keep the Nightwing idea of him and Jason fighting Baine but I'd change the Redhood pitch to the old Two Face/ Joker movie. I'd have Harvey introduced in the 2nd Batman Movie as a the new District Attorney after the death of the old one. In this movie Rha's Al Ghul breaks out the Joker from Arkham to help distract Batman from a plan to get rid of Gotham but Rha's is unable to control the Joker as he kidnapps Jason and Harvey, beats them, and blows them up. When Batman arrives to the warehouse Jason and Harvey were at. He finds an alive yet disfigured Harvey and Jason dead. The climax of the movie would be Harvey (Now as Two Face) trying to kill the Joker and Batman having to stop him despite wanting the same. In a post credit scene Rha's is talking to a newly escaped Lex Luthor about helping him take down the Justice League with a plan to bring back an old ally.
This is a really solid pitch. But there is one thing. With your Wonder Woman pitch, you used Hades as a villain. Typically, in Greek myth, Hades is depicted as one of the few morally neutral or even virtuous gods. If Cheetah is venturing to the depths of Tartarus, perhaps Cheetah could try to unleash one of the Titans like Chronus instead. Or maybe even Ares who could've been imprisoned following WW2
Like some people already pointed out in the comments, Robins are being switched out too quickly. Here's a fix, introduce Dick Grayman in the first Batman movie. Bruce Wayne is already Batman anyway so switch the origin story to Grayson. The Riddler or one of Falcone's guys are responsible for the death of the Flying Graysons and Bruce must help Dick Grayson properly grieve and not become a loner like he did. Batman and the newly introduced Robin can fight Riddler and Robin comes to terms with his grief and deciding to become better. The Batman 2 keeps Dick Grayson as Robin and he helps Batman fight Killer Croc in the beginning before switching to Mr. Freeze as the main villain introducing Jason Todd in the process. At the end of Batman 2, Dick Grayson chooses to become his own hero in Bludhaven and Jason Todd steps in as the new Robin. Then you do the Nightwing HBOMax show with a couple of episodes with Jason Todd's Robin to show the differences between the two before having Batman 3 with Two-Face as the main villain. Batman and Jason Todd as Robin fight Two-Face before Joker breaks out and kills Jason Todd to end Batman 3 on a bitter note. Batman in Justice League 2 makes the contingency plans in his grief before the League helps him deal with the grief and stopping the Legion of Doom. Finally you do Red Hood in Batman 4 in Phase 3.
19:26 i think Tower of Babel should open with the League having to free Superman from some mind control. The whole reason Bruce created his contingency plans wasn't in case the League went rogue, it was in direct response to the League getting mind controlled. Or maybe the Green Lantern show could feature a Starro invasion or something? Whatever it is, there should be a precedent for League members being mind controlled.
Good Video, but you need another BBEG for "Wonder Woman" as Hades, the God, is not evil. Fortunatly, there IS an easy alternative: Kronos, the Titan. That Guy is hella evil, and he is imprisoned in Tartarus, the Greek Underworld
The Batman The Batman 2: Mind of the Batman villains: Mad Hatter and Hugo Strange The Batman 3: Heart of The Batman villains: Mr Freeze aswell as throwaway villains
Don’t forget The Titans. They are just as popular as The Justice league if not more so. They were as big as the X-Men at one time. Dick Grayson, Wally West, Roy Harper, Jason Todd and Barbara Gordon are way under valued as well.
I like adapting stuff from the comics. But if they ever gonna do this cinematic universe again, I wish there will be more original stories like the DCAU. Bruce Timm and co really made the characters their own without having to rely too much on the source material. The best example is probably Mask Of The Phatasm. A villain not from the comics but probably one of Batman's most compelling one.
The only thing I’d change is not having Hades being the villain of Wonder Woman 2, Hades in Greek Mythology isn’t evil, he’s actually one of the more benevolent gods. I think it would make more sense if Cheetah was planning to release Kronos, God of Time and King of the Titans, he’d be a much better fit for the “big bad” imo.
I always thought that Jason should have been the first Robin. Batman should be given like atleast 2 movies with Jason where Bruce becomes more of a father figure to him. Jason then dies with Bruce believing he failed him. With the Justice League he would learn to lean on people again, and he would now acclaim Dick as the next Robin which would make him turning out well feel more earned. You could do a Old Wounds esque story as well to make Batman go in disbelief that he might also fail Dick.
Very good job, but you do know that Green Arrow used to be a Batman knock off, before he was essentially shaped into the modern version of the character bey Addams and O’Neill.
What if this was DC's cinematic universe Cast 1 Matt Bomer as superman 2 Jake Gyllenhaal as batman 3 Jamie Alexander as wonder 4 Ryan Gosling as Barry alan/the flash 5 Chris pine as hal Jordan/ green lantern 6 Alexander scarsgard as aquaman 7 sterling k brown as the Martian manhunter 8 Charlie hanum as green arrow 9 Kathryn winnick as black canery 10 Alexandera Daddario as hawkgirl And this is how it started 1 the world's finest 2 green lantern corps 3 the fastest man alive 4 the trinity And then 5 Justice league mortals 6 justice league legion of doom 7 justice league tower of Babel 8 justice league apocalypse war (not like the animated movies) 9 justice league darkseid war ( Barry alan dies and Wally west becomes the new flash) These stories are set in a fantasy world with comic accurate look and tone like Harry Potter and lord of the rings movies and asthetic like Zack Snyder's Watchmen movie. Share your thoughts and opinions on it.
This’s shaping up to be a great cinematic universe! Personally, I’ve been giving a lot of thought to how I would go about making a new DC animated universe of shows as I work my way through the Bruce Timm animated universe. I would want Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman to each have a show leading up to Justice League and all three running concurrent with each other. Superman and Wonder Woman would each get three seasons, with Batman getting five. The last two would run concurrent with the first two of Justice League. Green Lantern would also get a three-season show, but it wouldn’t get its first season until the time that Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman were each getting their third both to highlight those three as the main DC trinity and to be realistic from a production standpoint. This’s the only year that there would be up to four shows running at the same time. Seasons 2 and 3 would run concurrent with Batman seasons 4 and 5 and Justice League seasons 1 and 2. Justice League would be the only other show besides Batman to get up to five seasons. After Batman and Green Lantern end, a three-season Teen Titans show would run concurrent with seasons 3-5 of Justice League. That’s the overall layout of the universe. As for what I would do for each show, Superman would start with Clark making his superheroic debut in Metropolis and gradually tell the tale of his and Lex Luthor’s rivalry as they combat each other’s opposing worldviews. Seasons 1 and 2 would have their own final bosses (probably Zod and then Brainiac), but Lex is the endgame. The plot of season 3 would be Lex’s presidential campaign after years of trying to convince the would that Superman isn’t fit to be humanity’s protector. Once he is finally exposed and his campaign ruined, he fights Clark in the showdown that the whole show has been building up to. Wonder Woman zeroes in on Diana’s place as an ambassador for Themyscira. Stationed in Washington DC, she deals with all the controversy that comes with being one of the most powerful individuals in the world. This obviously invites a lot of crossover with Superman, especially in both shows’ third seasons during Lex’s election. The big bad of this show is Ares, whose defeat proves the superiority of Diana’s compassion over his cruelty. Somewhere along the way, we also do Donna Troy’s origin. Green Lantern would be very reminiscent of Star Wars: the Clone Wars. Just a big, space opera that shows the gradual unfolding of the Blackest Night prophesy as Hal and the others deal with each of the other lantern corps along with separate threats. Just like in the Bruce Timm universe, Justice League would kick off with the League forming to stop the White Martians. So, the original seven this time around would be Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Hal Jordan’s Green Lantern, Barry Allen’s Flash, Aquaman, and Martian Manhunter. Except this time, instead of sticking to the original seven for a long time and then jumping straight to a much larger team, we build it up gradually over the course of the series. Each new member such as Firestorm, Captain Atom, etc. gets their own episode to shine as they’re added to the team. By final season, where they’d fight either Darkseid or the Anti-Monitor, the team will have grown to the size that it was in Justice League: Unlimited. Teen Titans would start with Blackfire as the opening villain. It makes sense given that Starfire is a founding member of the team and her arrival to Earth is a whole thing. Dick Grayson, who would’ve become Nightwing by this point, is the first to help her and assembles the team to repel this smaller threat since it’s admittedly below the League’s pay grade. From then on, it’s kind of the same deal with the team fluctuating in its roster as the show goes on and steadily growing in size. Trigon is the final boss, obviously. I saved talking about Batman for last because it’s the only show where I have a specific layout for every season: Season 1 is year one for Bruce in Gotham. It mainly focuses on crime families since there’s been no force to oppose them until now, with only a few costumed villains like the Joker thrown in. The two main ones are obviously Falcone and Maroni, but we also do the murder of the Bertinellis to plant the seed for Huntress. The overarching plot is Harvey Dent’s campaign for District Attorney, which Bruce had a lot of personal investment in since it’s the first sign that Gotham has the potential to rise from its corruption. But Harvey is turned into Two-Face right as he wins the election and fights Batman in the last episode. Season 2 opens with Dick Grayson’s origin. This season starts leaning much more heavily into Batman’s classic Rogues gallery, with Ra’s al Ghul as the new main villain. Bruce’s mentorship of Dick would be juxtaposed with Ra’s’s mentorship of Deathstroke, who would abandon him by the end only to come back and fight Dick later in Teen Titans. Season 3 introduces Barbara Gordon as Batgirl, which would’ve been heavily teased last season. But it doesn’t last long as Joker becomes main villain of this season and paralyzes her in the multi-part finale, which is based on The Killing Joke. The difference is that Batman definitively DOESN’T kill him because he needs to cofound the Legion of Doom with Lex in Justice League. Dick and Barbara would’ve been a couple for some time now, so this’s the catalyst for him to head off and become Nightwing. Season 4 sees Bruce at his lowest point after the fallout of last season. He’s back to having no sidekicks and Gordon isn’t talking to him anymore. Plus, he’s starting to lost the progress on Gotham that he’s made these last three seasons. This would also be a good time to introduce Bane and have him break Bruce’s back so that we can further expand on Bruce and Dick’s relationship by having Dick reluctantly step in as Batman for a few episodes while Bruce recovers. But the main villain of this season is Hugo Strange, whose obsession with proving himself a better Batman through his experiments at Arkham reinvigorates Bruce by showing him that the city still needs him. Season 5 is the culmination of everything leading up to this point. Bruce finally faces off against the Court of Owls, who have been subtlety foreshadowed throughout the series and are revealed to have had a hand in almost every major event leading up to now. This season is also where we bring Huntress in as another way of bringing everything full circle. An epic finale that will have been earned by this point.
I love this. But I imagine maybe drawing out the robins longer and having them start fairly young, this way we can truly watch someone like Dick Grayson grow and maybe even have a teen titans show with Wally West and the rest of the main crew, then grow up into Nightwing and be the heart of the universe going into stages 3.
Also if hawkman is going to be the main villain in JL 1 it would more since for him and Diana to have a fight as they have history and use to be friends
You know what? I've been watching you since I was 13. I love your videos. I'm trying to write my own DC Cinematic Universe and you have inspired me so much. Thank you, SUPER FRAME
For phase 3. The obvious movies are Wonder woman 3, flash 3, green lantern 4 and 5, and Aquaman. I also feel that rather than JL 3 being a two-parter like Infinity War/Endgame, It should be one whole movie. One giant 3+ hour epic. (just my thoughts), but still have the heavy-ness of losing some of our greatest heroes in the Darkseid war. Moving to the non-obv, I feel like Shazam, Blue Beetle, Suicide Squad, and Stargirl should have movies in there. Stargirl could be this universe's Version of Homecoming, a coming-of-age movie with a young heroine, as she finds her own place in this universe.
Interesting Phase 1/2 not a fan of having 3-4 GL movies in the first 2 phases but other than that everything is fine. My NDCEU Phase 1 1: Batman 2: Superman 3: Wonder Woman 4: Aquaman 5: Batman 2: Out of The Shadows 6: Flash 7: Justice League Phase 2 8:Batman 3: Judgement Day 9: Green Lantern (Prequal right before first Justice League) 10: Wonder Woman 2: Heart of Darkness 11: Superman 2: Man of Steel 12: The Suicide Squad 13: Justice League 2: Rise of Brother Eye 14: Cyborg
I don’t think that Red Tornado should return in Justice League III. Though if you will return him, it should be in Justice League II where the Legion of Doom finds his parts in some warehouse. Then they steal his parts to take to their underwater base. They reassemble him and bring him back to life, but reprogrammed by Lex or some other evil genius to be a villain. Though Wonder Woman or some other member of the Justice Society can save him from his evil programming becoming a hero again to help the Justice League defeat the Legion of Doom
I like the ideas you shared for every character except for Batman I think you should allow Dick be robin for a while and when Jason is introduced allow him to have movie before he becomes red hood
My idea for a 'Tower of Babel' movie could start off with a regular battle between the Justice League and some generic villain. However, Superman accidentally goes too far with his strength and grievously injures the villain/villains. That gets Batman thinking about what if the JL went too far and started killing. Alternately, we could do two storylines in one, bring in the Justice Lords story arc, and that could be the trigger for Batman becoming paranoid about an out-of-control Justice League
Loved this video so much!! This has easily become one of my favorite channels to watch..also thankyou for the time you put into these, it doesn't go unnoticed
I think the Batman stuff feels kinda rushed, personally I feel that Dick should fully grow up over a couple movies, forming the titans, becoming his own, and then becoming Nightwing, plus we need a little time with Jason before killing him off and a lot of time after that before bringing him back, throw a The Cult or Ten Nights of The Beast in there for Jason and a couple classic Batman and Robin adventures in there for Dick and push Wally up a lot so he and Dick can form the Titans
My words might fail me to tell how much I love this video series of yours. This DC universe adaptation pitch feels like a story that I'm waiting every idea of it. It made me searching the DC comic catalogue to read, just to know the character and the universe in this series takes idea from. Just like what I do with MCU 😅
I'm not exactly an avid reader of superhero comic, but I'm thoroughly enjoyed the adaptation of it (like movies). So I felt quite disheartened when some opinion on internet that judge the recent change in WB and DC is a sign of doom and mocks it, rather than anticipate that there might be a good thing (story) come out of it. Not that my wish is should be matters to them though 😉
I think since batman and superman have completed their trilogies in phase 3 they should have a worlds finest trilogy to really explore their friendship
nah cuz now i feel like jason todd was rushed and it will not feel the same when he dies, he needs to be atleast in 1 more movie and not just in a series as a background character then killed in his first movie appearnce
Possible idea for your phase three, An HBOMax show that kinda serves as a combination of Disney+'s Werewolf By Night and Batman: The Brave and The Bold. Each episode would feature a smaller DC character that isn't really well known enough to lead a movie or series. You could have Batman or some other established character in every episode or just the smaller character. And theoretically, if the character was a hit, they could appear in something else. Possible characters could be Plastic Man, Huntress, Black Lightning, Etrigan, Phantom Stranger and Hawk and Dove. I don't have any title I'm in love with, but possible suggestions would be The Brave and the Bold, Justice League Task Force or House of Secrets/Mystery if you wanted to lean into the magic angle. I just like the idea of shining a spotlight on characters that are interesting, but don't have the name recognition to lead something. Edit: Booster Gold would definitely get an episode.
When writing my DC cinematic universe, I came up with an HBO max show DC’s All Star: Origin, which runs concurrently with the movies and introduces minor characters like Fire, Ice, Plastic Man, Booster Gold and more. I’d also have them show up in the JL movies, especially in the Darkseid War and COIE adaption.
I think a good fix to the hades thing would be to have the villain of the first movie be one of the world war 2 nazi villains instead of Ares so basically the ''twist'' in the og movie is true and then ares be the one imprisoned in the second movie with Hades helping Diana being a good uncle and maybe even giving her Steve as a companion for the mission
Diana going to hell made me recall the episode where she and Shayera went there together. It also could be an introduction to the mystical part of the DC universe. I wish to see a movie focusing on magic where they would need hawkgirl help.
Hey Mitch, This Was an interesting pitch, I love your universe building (SFDCU lol) I have some suggestions regarding the same type of pitches with Marvel Characters, how to make good/bad 1)Captain Marvel movie 2) Doctor Strange Movie(1st movie was good, but i was really disappointed with the character arc they took with Strange in MOM) 3) Hulk movie(both 2003 and incredible hulk were good, but i would love to see your take on the rage monster) 4) Wolverine Movie (Logan is obviously a masterpiece, but i hated how inconsistent he was in the fox movies and how okayish his other two solo movies were) Hope you consider any one of my requests
the only real issue with this is that you basically speedran the robins all that stuff needs way more space to breathe there should be a good few years between jason dying and the red hood appearing
I think they should instead hold back batman, superman, & wonder woman and instead focus on the under dogs like marvel did. I know marvel used underdogs because they didnt have all the rights to like spiderman and stuff but it worked.
What I like to imagine is a sort of crisis storyline that’s like a two parter. The first one has the JL meet the JSA on earth 2 and then eventually fights the crime syndicate, as the attempt to erase every other earth, causing reality to break as earth 3 is destroyed. Waking up the anti monitor, he tries to erase the multiverse because of the tampering going on in the second one. Where they meet earth 4 and 5, then crisis on inf earths play out, the flash dies as Wally west is sent into a new reality where he’s the only one that remembers what happened, with earth 2, 4 and 5 being a part of the new universe.
I love what you're doing here man. Your videos are awesome and well thought out. I think my only "complaint" is adapting Red Hood. I don't think that's the right story there. Introducing Jason so soon to turn him. Now if Jason was introduced as Robin in the second movie and questions batman's effectiveness then I'd understand, but that would skip Dick entirely. I would love for the end of the trilogy to be Court of Owls. Especially if that paranoia it leaves in Batman leads to his future choices and ultimately Tower of Babylon. We end with a Bruce that needs to be in control and see every possible outcome because he refused to believe the unbelievable and fall to his own arrogance.
This is my DC but I really hope you recast Nightwing because I really don't want to see one of the only other romani characters in comics get whitewashed as well plus the actor you picked is like 40 so that's a bit weird as well
I'd rather watch these positive videos than negative ones discussing current state of DC film universe. Or even some contrarians hating the MCU for the views. Stick with the positivity.
Thank you for these videos. You've done a tremendous job at staying true to what these characters are supposed to mean to the audience, and I hope that, someday, we can see your work fully formed, whether it's through something animated, comics, or even live action. Hell, I'd read a novel series of this stuff. Keep up the good work
I love this but Finn Wittrock is even older than Robert Pattinson. I think the actor playing Nightwing should be at least ten years younger than the actor playing Bruce.
I just want to say that if the DCEU wants to redeem itself, now is the time while Marvel is laying on the ground and bleeding from its self-inflicted injuries.
Love how this series comes out in a time where gunn is Rebooting the universe. I tweeted your how to make a good jl video to him. Hope he is listening 💪🏾🔥
I hope they do Green Arrow and the Flash well as there my favourite Dc heroes. They are light and jovial there’s a lot of sincerity and happiness in their stories. Barry’s kind soul and his relaxed attitude and Ollie’s marriage and his jokey personality. If they do these well I will be invested but other important characters to me are Nightwing Superman Martian Manhunter and Green Lantern.

Good choice, I really like Justice League Tower of Babel.
Will you release a casting video for all the characters?
You need to read comics first, because Green Arrow and Black Canary are a tóxic bitter relationship.
This video about The Batman is pretty good. You should definitely give this video a watch and you can make a video about it if you want.
Hades is not a Wonder Woman villain.
I hope James Gunn is watching your videos. The key to having a cohesive universe is developing a plan like this and hiring directors willing to carry out that vision. That’s what the animated movies do. The problem is you might lose out on directors who want to tell their own stories like Matt Reeves
BUT HE WON'T LISTEN!!!
I agree thing is most directors can still tell their own story with in the guidelines of the universe and the characters they are handling, they can still be true to their style while being true to the characters themselves some directors don’t get that but Matt does
I'm low key hoping for the same thing.
that's good
Matt Reeves batman should stay in his own separate universe
really not a great idea to fuse it with the DCEU
I hope he's not because I absolutely don't want anything that remotely looks like the animated series roster in my movies
This is what I call an early Christmas gift!!

Yeah, no one was expecting this
You repeatedly remind me how amazing DC characters are and how great their stories can be.
Actually, this is a pretty good origin for the Emerald Archer. I’d be perfectly down for this.
@@HRGAMES-rw7yd Thank you!
No forget that Oliver is a hippie leftist. And his relationship with Blaxk Canary is so tóxic.
I think the Martian Manhunter works better.
i would add kid flash while dick is still robin, then maybe they can form the teen titans together. I think thats would be cool to have them in the universe
If Gunn follows this formula for the new DCEU, it would be brilliant
Bro I’d love to see someone animate these stories somehow! They’re so incredibly good and deserve to be seen in motion! Well done on these stories!
Your DC Universe is just as good as Bruce Timm and Paul Dini’s DCAU. I hope James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DC Universe is like this. I want to see animated and live action movies and shows on this.
I really hope ur pitches get adapted into live action or animated films somehow, they're just so good
I agree with a lot of this except for Nightwing and Batman it feels to early I think the third Batman movie should be about Batman and Robin splitting up and then a Nightwing show or film afterward introduce Jason and later do Red Hood
agreed personally
Holy shit that Wonder Woman movie is an absolute gem. I’m a sucker for the kind of stories where things keep going crazy for a relentless character.
Hey Superframe, do How To Make a Good & Bad Power Rangers Movie video.
I've absolutely loved this series and your takes on these characters and this universe, with which I agree with many. Thank you.
Also this takes place during phase 3
Now we are at the fourth movie which would now be the Red hood movie.
In a post credit scene Rha's is talking to a newly escaped Lex Luthor about helping him take down the Justice League with a plan to bring back an old ally.
we really need a Nightwing Movie. So underrated man.
Im pretty sure hades is a villain in dc comics 🤷♂️😂
Isn't that just like the dark knight with jason?
That would make way more sense
The Batman
The Batman 2: Mind of the Batman villains: Mad Hatter and Hugo Strange
The Batman 3: Heart of The Batman villains: Mr Freeze aswell as throwaway villains
Don’t forget The Titans. They are just as popular as The Justice league if not more so. They were as big as the X-Men at one time. Dick Grayson, Wally West, Roy Harper, Jason Todd and Barbara Gordon are way under valued as well.
James gunn hire this guy
I like adapting stuff from the comics. But if they ever gonna do this cinematic universe again, I wish there will be more original stories like the DCAU. Bruce Timm and co really made the characters their own without having to rely too much on the source material. The best example is probably Mask Of The Phatasm. A villain not from the comics but probably one of Batman's most compelling one.
I like how you have a Fanning sister as Supergirl. I imagine the other Fanning as Power Girl.
Speaking of her, DO SOMETHING WITH POWER GIRL please!
For Phase 3 I’d love to see you pitch a Blue and Gold movie with Booster Gold and Blue Beetle
yes just yes
Completely agree
Same.
This is one of my favourite series on TH-cam right now
Idea. After the Oa is destroyed, the Green Lanterns relocate to Mogo.
Very good job, but you do know that Green Arrow used to be a Batman knock off, before he was essentially shaped into the modern version of the character bey Addams and O’Neill.
James Gunn needs to see your videos man. All too perfect.

These stories are set in a fantasy world with comic accurate look and tone like Harry Potter and lord of the rings movies and asthetic like Zack Snyder's Watchmen movie. Share your thoughts and opinions on it.
Hawk girl should have taken the place of Hawkman in Black Adam. The other characters in the Society being supporting characters.
You are the MASTER at creating universes. You and Matt Reeves can be the Kevin Feige of this DC Universe
As for what I would do for each show,
Superman would start with Clark making his superheroic debut in Metropolis and gradually tell the tale of his and Lex Luthor’s rivalry as they combat each other’s opposing worldviews.
I saved talking about Batman for last because it’s the only show where I have a specific layout for every season:
Season 1 is year one for Bruce in Gotham.
Holy crap I didn’t even know this was happening
For phase 3. The obvious movies are Wonder woman 3, flash 3, green lantern 4 and 5, and Aquaman.
I also feel that rather than JL 3 being a two-parter like Infinity War/Endgame, It should be one whole movie. One giant 3+ hour epic. (just my thoughts), but still have the heavy-ness of losing some of our greatest heroes in the Darkseid war.
Moving to the non-obv, I feel like Shazam, Blue Beetle, Suicide Squad, and Stargirl should have movies in there. Stargirl could be this universe's Version of Homecoming, a coming-of-age movie with a young heroine, as she finds her own place in this universe.
i would squeeze a Titans movie or show in bc it’s just kinda amazing. and also a huge part of the youth of dc.
Interesting Phase 1/2 not a fan of having 3-4 GL movies in the first 2 phases but other than that everything is fine.
My NDCEU
Phase 1
1: Batman
2: Superman
3: Wonder Woman
4: Aquaman
5: Batman 2: Out of The Shadows
6: Flash
7: Justice League
Phase 2
8:Batman 3: Judgement Day
9: Green Lantern (Prequal right before first Justice League)
10: Wonder Woman 2: Heart of Darkness
11: Superman 2: Man of Steel
12: The Suicide Squad
13: Justice League 2: Rise of Brother Eye
14: Cyborg
I love this series of videos! Your pitches are absolutely amazing! Thank you SuperFrame for making these! Can't wait for phase 3.
Nightwing doesn't need to team up with Catwoman in this universe, he can and should protect Bludhaven by himself.
This was a great video, I like the Drawings/Art you did, they also look great
My words might fail me to tell how much I love this video series of yours.
I've said in the previous video and I'll say it again in this video, James Gunn should hire you to write a DC movie
No, because he is no original.
nah cuz now i feel like jason todd was rushed and it will not feel the same when he dies, he needs to be atleast in 1 more movie and not just in a series as a background character then killed in his first movie appearnce
Possible idea for your phase three,
An HBOMax show that kinda serves as a combination of Disney+'s Werewolf By Night and Batman: The Brave and The Bold.
I know you said no, but I really wish you would make a video for Justice League 2
Hey Mitch,
This Was an interesting pitch,
I love your universe building (SFDCU lol)
I have some suggestions regarding the same type of pitches with Marvel
Characters,
how to make good/bad
1)Captain Marvel movie
2) Doctor Strange Movie(1st movie was good, but i was really disappointed with the character arc they took with Strange in MOM)
3) Hulk movie(both 2003 and incredible hulk were good, but i would love to see your take on the rage monster)
4) Wolverine Movie (Logan is obviously a masterpiece, but i hated how inconsistent he was in the fox movies and how okayish his other two solo movies were)
Hope you consider any one of my requests
the only real issue with this is that you basically speedran the robins
all that stuff needs way more space to breathe
there should be a good few years between jason dying and the red hood appearing
Phase 4 should have nightfall, death of Superman, Emerald twilight and Wally becoming the flash
Love your videos! Everything you say in your DC vids are so true and well-spoken, it's like i'm in a trance while watching! Keep up the great work!!!
I think they should instead hold back batman, superman, & wonder woman and instead focus on the under dogs like marvel did. I know marvel used underdogs because they didnt have all the rights to like spiderman and stuff but it worked.
Jensen ackles for hal jordan green lamtern is a MUSTTTT James Gunn
Nightwing should have a trilogy or duology of movies in this universe, not a tv show.
It would be better, if Nightwing had his own movie, instead an HBO Max tv show.
This is my DC but I really hope you recast Nightwing because I really don't want to see one of the only other romani characters in comics get whitewashed as well plus the actor you picked is like 40 so that's a bit weird as well
Bro. You’re Plastic-Man movie is going to slap.
Wow these videos you’ve made are great! Thanks for all the work you put into making these!
I'd rather watch these positive videos than negative ones discussing current state of DC film universe. Or even some contrarians hating the MCU for the views.
Stick with the positivity.
Excellent pitches! Hopefully Gunn sees this video (and all your others in the DC universe) and takes some notes
Yeh I think so
Thank you for these videos. You've done a tremendous job at staying true to what these characters are supposed to mean to the audience, and I hope that, someday, we can see your work fully formed, whether it's through something animated, comics, or even live action. Hell, I'd read a novel series of this stuff. Keep up the good work
i love this series!! pls keep making more
I love this but Finn Wittrock is even older than Robert Pattinson. I think the actor playing Nightwing should be at least ten years younger than the actor playing Bruce.
I think he just has Finn as Dick cause he looks like the character but if he ever went in depth about it I think he would choose something else
did batman get kicked out of the justice league
Green Arrow should have a duology or trilogy of movies in this universe, not a tv show.
Bro this is really good and creative, I wld love to see sth like this in James gunns plan for the DCU, keep up the good work
Who did you cast to play Aquaman?
I'd rather see Lex become President at some point. Not to mention thats the perfect solo film for him.
Are these movies actually getting released in TH-cam because I see the TH-cam logo in those edited posters
I just want to say that if the DCEU wants to redeem itself, now is the time while Marvel is laying on the ground and bleeding from its self-inflicted injuries.
Aquaman is DC’s Thor and and doesn’t even get a movie on this “phase 1”
James Gunn figured it out without a video.
"Fire everyone"
This video held up for like one day.
Anyone else think an Injustice live action movie would be cool
I feel like Finn Wittrock is too old to be Pattinson’s Dick Grayson
Guys let's force him to make that X-Men video
Love how this series comes out in a time where gunn is Rebooting the universe. I tweeted your how to make a good jl video to him. Hope he is listening 💪🏾🔥
I hope they do Green Arrow and the Flash well as there my favourite Dc heroes. They are light and jovial there’s a lot of sincerity and happiness in their stories. Barry’s kind soul and his relaxed attitude and Ollie’s marriage and his jokey personality. If they do these well I will be invested but other important characters to me are Nightwing Superman Martian Manhunter and Green Lantern.
WB Studios shut down their DC films so send this as resume cuz your scripts got their stuff beat
