If you had been working on the heal on lead would encouraging her to push ahead and then stopping her be sending a mixed message? I'm a novice so a genuine question, not a criticism.

Hi, thanks for your question. Heel means heel so don't go forward but stop and turn sharply so your dog follows. Train the dog in different areas and not in the same place all the time which is not always easy. Hope that helps.

Did you mean stopping her to get her to sit?
