This is literally what I was waiting for. Hat format is amazing. Ive being watching the old arg comps from this format and knew this was gonna be how you do this one for sure
@@YGOHistory Bet! I'll stay tuned. 💯 I love Plants to death! I also agree about them being one of, if not the best combo deck. I ran SynchroPlants, TenguPlants & ofc Sylvans some years back.
sylvans are such an interesting deck its too bad that is also happens to be pretty much the last "I need to set up before i combo" meta strategy. kuribandit, duality, and card car D were so good for those strategies but now similar to those decks are pretty much unplayable in modern yugioh.
I owned this deck in this format, but decided to play Geargia for tournaments instead. The decision trees required a lot of thinking and planning and I was too afraid of being issued slow-play penalties. Sylvans are still one of my favorite combo decks of all time. Great video!
It's interesting that you say that. Pat's top 16 loss came down to him playing to avoid a penalty and potentially making the wrong call as a result. He came very close to back to back continental championships.
Okay, so, when you said that Sylvans was the best combo deck ever I thought, *"What about Infernities???"* BUT! After watching these three games... *You have convinced me!*
Always liked Sylvans, but never felt comfortable attempting to pilot this deck for multiple rounds. This is definitely a big die roll matchup for HAT. Deck really struggles with multiple big monsters.
awesome this is the format I've been waiting for

I almost commented on your last video asking for some 2014 decks/duels. Super excited for this video.
Can't wait for your Sylvan deck profile/explanation!
On the way. Just need my Hieratic Dragon to come in the mail!

you can use "/mill5" or "/banish5" in the db chatbox to automatically mill or banish 5
Ah man I miss this format. Thanks for covering
Glad you enjoy it!
Oooo I’m so excited for this format!
Awesome video!
You can actually type /mill5 or /banish5 or /discardhand or /draw2 in chat to resolve certain cards or effects like Kuribnadit faster.
I do know this but I never think to do it.

Great video. Can you make more videos showcasing the Sylvan deck from this era?
Hat always looks so much fun.. can’t wait to see the profile
I recently realized I was missing a lot of random extra deck monsters so I need to find those before profiling HAT - but I will.

Decisions TREES. Plenty of those!

@@Slashtap Yeah, I do recall his deck profile.
@@YGOHistory hahahaha got that

I totally agree. This was one of the only true combo decks I invested time into learning and it involved a LOT of solitaire.
Yes, such a good format
Totally agree.
I quit playing the game right around when pendulum monsters were released and it feels a bit weird seeing history videos from after my time
I am pretty sure these decks were pre-pendulum.
Finaly 2014🥳
I'd love to see 2014 Geargia vs Hat
I will see what I can do.
I really like the layout without the borders
I agree. I might make a whole new border - but it will not cover up the cards.
If every combo deck in yugioh was as nonlinear and interactive as sylvan, I'd be dead from spending all my money on shiny cardboard.
