    Ty for giving the creator the credit. Goat format doesn't give him credit for the deck

    I love seeing you show FTKs since you get to show off the whole deck in just a test hand. It's why your frog FTK video is one of my favorites!

    Joe, i think you made an abstract misplay around 19:09 by discarding thunder dragon. In a normal deck you would just pitch the thunder dragon as soon as drawing it, but because you had convulsion you could have seen the bottom card first before thunder dragoning, and if it was something broken then you could draw into it, and if not you could discard thunder then to give yourself another crack at it. Strategically you would be better off playing it this way.

      I also think I should have used Toon Table one at a time to see the bottom card. I thought about that too while rewatching.

    At the end of the combo, if you need to move a mass of cards from your hand to your graveyard in order to turn on Blasting, you can always Spell Reproduction in order to get back another Spell Reproduction, in order to just mass discard your spells.
    Alternatively, you could run Magical Explosion instead of Blasting the Ruins. You’d achieve the same exact end result, except instead of 30 cards in the grave, you just need an empty hand and only 15 spells. You might need more discard options like Feather of the Phoenix, but it’s worth considering.

    Very neat FTK, first time I heard about it! With the rise of time Wizard formats such as 2010 edison, 2011 september tengu plant and even 2014 NAWCQ format will we see more of these formats showcased on the channel? i'm asking because I'm very interested in all 3 formats and would like to have a bigger range of decks to choose from than the ones I currently know of especially with that modern twist in deckbuilding/theory added to them. I know you're a fan of x-saber that format from the Pak livestream but I've yet to see your deck profile for that format 🤔
    BTW I saw you on the YCS Minneapolis livestream, it was very cool seeing you and Billy Brake talking about modern yugioh with such expertise, hopefully it went well for you as well 😁

    In the video you mention about using Life Equalizer in your opp's DP and then activating Blasting the Ruins. I get that it was probably worded that way to help with clarity, but can't you activate Blasting the Ruins and chain Equalizer to its activation in order to prevent losing to MST in response to Equalizer's Activation?

    • @YGOHistory
      @YGOHistory  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That would indeed be the correct sequence

    Great video as always.
    Just a little pet peeve of mine, I really dislike modern foil reprints, the card layout just changed so much
    even though super > common I'd prefer MFC libraries, dcr spell reprod and og card d and toon tables, etc.

    I remember reading about this deck on Metagame ages ago, but it wasn't very detailed. I'm guessing this is why Giant Trunade went from 3 to 2 to 1 before it saw serious competitive play in every deck. I'd like to see more old-school FTKs.

    At min 25:52 you put the reproduction on top (bottom) of the deck instead of sending it to gy, but is fine, good content 👍🏻

    I feel like there is a version of this deck that can side into Stein. You would only have to swap out a couple cards in the main deck like Card Shuffle for Sangan and Morphing Jar or even more copies of Reload, which are decent game 1 and 2. From there you only have 14 cards you absolutely have to side out.
    Will the resulting deck be super good? Probably not, but I can see it being useful when going into time after a long game 1. If you lose game 1, you may not actually have enough time to FTK twice, so a faster win condition would help a lot in that kind of situation.

    • @YGOHistory
      @YGOHistory  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      This deck doesn't really have a time issue. Time "back in the day" was 3 or 5 full turns! Plenty of time to FTK.

    • @Apocralyph
      @Apocralyph 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not gonna lie, I forgot that you actually still got to play the game after time was called back in the day.
      Siding Poison of the Old Man seems good for the mirror though.

    It really shows that konami sees spells as the most broken cards among the 3(monster spell trap) making spell reproduction and magical stone excavation require u to discard 2 cards to recycle just 1 spell while cards like salvage can recycle 2 water monsters for free and dark factory of mass production recycle 2 normal monsters for free
