I guarantee I'll get seasick. I fish salmon on Lake Michigan and one year we ALL got sick. Captain included. We called it Barf Fest '07. That's how memorable it was. Now, I just 2 finger it instead of feeling sick for an hour before the inevitable happens. On mosquitoes, no see-ums vanilla extract works great. We don't have mosquitoes at our campground but gnats and no see-ums can be annoying. The best part is you smell pretty good. Great video!
Edit: Big Pine has a Winn Dixie I think it is. We take. Red-eye into Miami or Ft. Lauderdale and stop at Sam's in Homestead before our drive to Summerland. We can't check in until 3 but we can put our stuff in the fridge on the lower level then we head to Key West to Blue Heaven.

how bad is the traffic in big pine key and marathon? I read traffic is less crazy once get half way down the keys. Hopefully can get something with a little space so can do vertical hydroponics farming. Love growing tomatoes and watermelons nothing more fun then growing tons of watermelons on hanging trellis and all over the place. Maybe I could grow on the entire roof of my rv and along the sides of it too etc. Just would have to go organic lulz :D
We wanted a nice dinner at islamaroda fish company last trip down a few weeks back and as soon as we were done eating, we got swarmed by nats. The employees acted like they weren't even there. We ran away as quick as we could. We looked like wimpy tourist lol
Those no-see-ems, or sand nats, were terrible last time in the keys. I know how to avoid mosquitos, but the sand nats surprised me. Never saw them coming until it was too late.
Ace hardware has No -Natz spray, wish KOA mile 20 suggested it at check-in or sold it to us. Won 2 nites at St Petersburg KOA spent one day looking for urgent care for swollen feet. Could have been avoided.
Hydrocortisone 1% cream and Sarna lotion with Pramoxine can help with the itching following No-See-Um bites, prescription strength cortisone creams will help more. Prevention is still the best policy.
We are in Marathon now. Leaving on Wednesday. Any suggestions for a good restaurant? Been to Fla. Keys lobster. Lunch and dinner. 👎👎. Keys fishery. 👎👎Lazy Days south 👎👎. Where do the locals eat?? Good food without all the foo foo? We are from the Jersey Shore so we love fresh seafood.

Castaway is always one of our favorites. The Square Grouper in Cudjoe Key is fantastic as well.
