I've had the pleasure of seeing Tull 26 times in my 73 years on this great earth.
Yeah about 25 for me and two (and counting) Martin concerts.
Parabéns
I had the pleasure of being in the audience for this recording. My U6 year; train up to London, Tube to Golders Green. IA had a stinking cold but still delivered a mesmerizing, accomplished performance. The first time UK audiences had seen the band in concert since November`74. Three days later I saw the whole SFTW Tour show at the Hammy Odeon; happy days!!
G'day to you! as we Old Folk do, we start getting things in order, well going through my things and what do I find ? a ticket for a Tull Concert dated 11th July 1972 cost $4.80, what a Flashback this has been, was 22 then 74 now and still love them!
Inflation was rampant in 1973. I paid $5.00 to see Tull at Hersheypark arena, and yes I still love them!
Great been a fan since 1968 I am 72 now and still a fan 👍🏴
I'm 71 & saw them 3 times in the 70's...all great shows!
The good old days when concert prices weren’t ridiculous. Take care brother from Orange County California.
@@CharlesSelf-sq9ti Back at ya Mate, nice hearing from someone who was there and no need to explain to Young Dick Heads what it was like back in the day, us Old Crusties gotta stick together Brother!✌
The usual, amazingly well-written and played drum part by Barrie.
Great drummer
Unique and hard rocking medievalist minstrels. Whacked out guitar sound and flute! Superb
The best lineup of a great band that has had many impressive lineups, touring on the heels of the best two albums (Minstrel, and Songs From The Wood) they ever made. A band at the height of its powers, before Ian’s voice began to decline. I got to see them multiple times starting from the first Minstrel tour, and those were some of the best concerts of the era.
Magnificent. We tragically lost John Glascock at the age of 29….and the great Barrie Barlow quit soon after. That really was the end of their finest era.
The best touring line up
He was a great bassist for sure His work with Carmen (previous band) was also awesome (I typically don’t like flamenco Prog but that’s the best way to describe it). John’s exit and passing basically ended the classic lineup given Barrie’s frustration of how Ian treated John once he tried to come back into the fold after his heart issue was supposedly resolved.
Ian and the lads in their prime.
Yes, it´s sad that this line-up fell apart so rapidly. It is my favorite incarnation of Jethro Tull, by far.
Great firing of 1980 and then in 2011.
wow so good the guitaring was so great
Brilliant!
Супер талантливый человек. Отличная группа.
Обожаю.
Barre is just awesome, bring'im back, please.

Epic JT, always lived this tune, Marching Out live is a great version as well. Legends of Rock.
Sweet, oh the 70's good times.
What a decade for music. Unrivalled.
So so sweet!
Saw the boys perform in Melbourne Australia in the seventies i think amazing energy 😮
Excellent!
Hard rock 🖤🤘
Ez zene!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Köszönjük!!!!!!!!
I had the pleasure of seeing the Songs From The Wood tour and needless to say, it was spectacular! Keep in mind thatJohn Brittledi...uh...Glascock is singing harmony while playing fairly complex bass-lines at the same time. An amazing lineup of musicians, as always, and always a great show, although to be fair I only got to see them 7 or 8 times around this time period and up through the late 90's or so. Cheers.
One of the greatest bands ever. Just phenomenal.
It's BEAUTIFUL!!! Thank you, Anderson, from Russia! ❤❤❤
❤ IAN ❤..... from Italy
Am 61 de ani si e cea mai rock muzică de poveste 🤴❤❤❤
Masterpiece.
This was a great close-up video and audio experience of the best lineup of Jethro Tull. Thank you!
I love it...
Long life Ian !👍
John Glascock R.I.P.
I love this song and they played it so well live.
This and velvet green, love Ian playing the Martin acoustic guitar on that with the ultra difficult chord progression and singing. Sublime.
Ian is quite the character 😂 nice stuff thanx for sharing this beautiful blessing. Much appreciated 🔥😁

What a poetic man.. lovely.
with Barriemore Barlow! Probably the best rock drummer who ever set stick to head!
Once again Ian proving he's much more clever and witty than I - and man that tempo is cracking! What did he say at the top? A taste for "bumpkiss"? The heck is thatz
" songs from the wood" my personel fave.lock stock and barrel.
Какая же шикарная все таки группа.
cool man!
Brillante..!!
Самый артистичный рокер в мире!
Oh lord in heaven 😂
Luv me some Prog n grog in the morn.
Paul , this Aussie Ron and I have tickets for the Liverpool concert on 6/05/2024 ! I saw them in Melbourne in early seventies too, ( I am 73) and maybe we can head to the pearlies together! I could think of no better "swordsman " than Ian , and , as I am partial to good drumming, The mighty Barriemore Barlow ( and all his contemporaries), could join in as well.🌈🔥🎶🩺
❤😂🎉
Одна из великих групп 20 века.
👍👍👍👍👍🌞😎
Prima
👍
😢
I WAS JUST THINKING "WHY DO I LOVE JETHRO TULL SO MUCH" THE OTHER DAY.
2 DAYS LATER, HERE'S WHY!
PS -- THE MIDNIGHT SPECIAL CHANNEL just uploaded some performances by John Glascock's band CARMEN the other month, go check them out!
👁️👁️
Das nich nojes , alte song jethro tull . Gut
👻
So is THAT Jethro?
The band is jethro Tull yes
I had a strong pull while pregnant to name my son Ian, which means John in Gaelic, but I found Jacob to be most appropriate for my Family's needs on the day he was born. Jacob the Supplanter. .. and low and behold Jacob/Jack still means John.
[Verse 1]
One day I walked the road and crossed a field
To go by where the hounds ran hard
And on the master raced: behind the hunters chased
To where the path was barred
One fine young lady's horse refused the fence to clear
I unlocked the gate but she did wait until the pack had disappeared
[Verse 2]
Crop handle carved in bone;
Sat high upon a throne of finest English leather
The queen of all the pack
This joker raised his hat and talked about the weather
All should be warned about this high born Hunting Girl
She took this simple man's downfall in hand;
I raised the flag that she unfurled
[Verse 3]
Boot leather flashing and spurnecks the size of my thumb
This highborn hunter had tastes as strange as they come
Unbridled passion: I took the bit in my teeth
Her standing over --- me on my knees underneath
[Verse 4]
My lady, be discrete
I must get to my feet and go back to the farm
Whilst I appreciate you are no deviate
I might come to some harm
I'm not inclined to acts refined, if that's how it goes
Oh, high born Hunting Girl
I'm just a normal low born so and so
Got C.I.A.O.WAFFEN DOORWAYS TO PROGRAMMING AT VOODOO VINELAND VYNALZ
Tally ho..
Limagine if hewas well a great band could do things few could
😅
Wow, that some unpleasant-sounding guitar.
Maybe a Fuzz distortion with Phaser effect... the guitar sound in the studio recording is much better!
@@fmtfniuprog8029yeah actually I never heard Martin use that sound ever on Hunting Girl live
Anderson looking quite a bit Clockwork Orange in this. I'm sure he's not really a loony though....??
Very British....
je ne sais pas si c' est vraiment le signe sa ta ni que qu'il exprime avec ses doigts (?) ... si c'est le cas j'en serais surpris et (vraiment ) déçu parce- que j'ai toujours aimé sa musique et sa personne (!)
your interpretation, could use some expansion of understanding.
@@arteCee je parlais de ses deux doigts repliés (sur la photo - presentation de la video ) qui est
un signe sa ta ni que ... qui est / etait/ beaucoup utilisé dans le milieu " hard- rock"
Ps: franchement ... j'aimerais me tromper conçernant j. Tull (!)
et peut-être qu'il utilisait ce signe
" à la légère " ....
Sign of the devil. I threw away all his disques. Rock is occupied by
Satanism
The band sucks😂
Vodka, yuck
