It's also one of the very few sources of added chaos damage so it's good for early wither stacking using the support gem. On my poison hammer of the gods I used it for a while with tempest strike to apply full wither while the hammer fell.

Great info. I haven't seen that hammer yet but looking forward to it. This ring definitely has some good uses early on.
