You aren't the same you from a couple years ago. Even if the same cells stay alive like in the brain, the molecules that make up the cell are simply recycled as well. Only a few structures in your body remain unreplaced over the course of a lifetime. What really makes you is your memories, personality, and self awareness. Basically consciousness/soul.

Very unlikely. For an organ to be used as a transplant you have to die in perfect hospital condition. On the other hand, heart failure caused by chronic arterial hypertension is. That is why seeing fatty tissue surouding your heart can by wake up call for some to change their lifestyle.
That is pretty surreal to see your own heart.

I was so privileged to visit Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa where the first heart transplant was performed in 1967 by Dr. Chris Barnard. To be in the operating room and seeing Louis Washkansky’s old heart was truly amazing!

My grandma passed away from amyloidosis. It’s horrible. It was so sad seeing a healthy, active and happy person decline so quickly, she was only officially diagnosed 2 months before she died. The doctors didn’t know what it was for almost a year which was horrible because everyone thought she’d be ok and then she wasn’t. I love you so much grandma. R.I.P

We got into the details of why everyone who needs an organ doesn't necessarily receive a transplant. He told me that everyone should be an organ donor because even after death, they can change someone's life.

Very unlikely. For an organ to be used as a transplant you have to die in perfect hospital condition. You can't die outside of the hospital and your heart can't stop beating, you have to be pronaunced brain dead meanwhile machines keep your organs artificially going. Also implants only last like 10 years on average so this man will likely die soon
