MVC2 Ken, and for one simple reason; **That Rising Tatsu**.
In Marvel Super Heroes Vs. Street Fighter, it's no big deal, but this one move fundamentally cripples Ken's playstyle by making it harder to consistently connect his Hurricane Kick. It's telling that this move variation never showed up again afterwards in both Street Fighter and Capcom Vs. SNK .

During the game’s development they were going to add the Fantastic 4. according to Niitsuma that the reason why they couldn’t add the Fantastic 4 into mvc3 because the human torch was an issue due to development. Jonny’s flame took too much RAM which made the game crash and The Thing would play similar to the Hulk. Thus, Superskrull, who for all purposes, is the Fantastic 4 all rolled into one.

Not surprised Dan Hibiki and Arthur from the Ghosts N Goblins series made this list. Only confirmed win Dan has to his name was against Sagat, and it was handed to him out of pity. Arthur's series has a confirmed reputation for being NOTORIOUSLY DIFFICULT. A difficulty that even DEADPOOL of all people has taken issue with. In fact, Deadpool's "post-battle screen" if the last fighter he downs is Arthur has a unique text that reads "and THAT'S for lulling me into great side-scrolling adventures that were never possible to beat!"

I'd give Roll and Phoenix pass since they're joke characters. The creators intended them to be like that, kinda like Dan.. There are people who have a soft spot for those types of characters. Especially since there are people who can make use of them if given the proper synergy. And it can lead to creative comps.
...Now if a character plays bad and they're not meant to be a joke character... That's when it becomes a problem.
At least Roll got a massive upgrade for tatsunoko vs capcom
Thank goodness Roll's Tatsunoko vs Capcom moveset was a major step up. If Roll ever returns in MvC, she needs her TvC moveset.
Can you do a Top 10 WORST characters in King of Fighters?
Ghost Rider is actually way better in MvC:I than in 3. He has a super that is easy to change into your other character off of that also obscures the screen and locks down the opponent fairly well. He also has decent longer range combos. I don't know where watchmojo heard that he was bad. edit: There are some really questionable picks in this list. Nemesis is actually pretty decent in MvCI. Arthur is also pretty good as an assist and anchor character in UMvC3. Multiple players have proven that he is viable at the highest level of competition. Amingo is also not bad. He is very much mid-tier and very viable with the correct team setup, like most mid tiers in that game.
The Wazzler makes all of them look God tier
Hsien-ko and Arthur are not the worst character in mvc3. That title goes to Jill. I played competitively and a lot of people use Arthur and Hsien-ko. No one uses Jill ever, her execution barrier is ridiculously high, her damage output is ridiculously stupid low and she has by far the worst supers in the game. And what makes her worse was she already had a perfect move set from MvC2 and turned her into a completely different character that's almost unrecognizable if you never played RE5.

Ghostrider is actually way better in MvCI than he is in MvC3. He is slower in Infinite because the gameplay is way slower than MvC3.

Who would have thought 20 years later people would still be talking about X-Men (90s) & marvel vs Capcom!
90s X-Men is even better than the film versions.
Imagine if those two met in a multiverse crossover, the animated versions would easily kick the @sses of the live-action versions.
Roll, Servbot, Dan, & Omega Red, they're not worth using unless you just like Trolling opponents.

Would have loved to see them create Joe Fix It for Marvel vs Capcom as the special guest character instead of the Orange Hulk sprite.
If they had chosen Iron Lad as an alternate costume for Iron Man instead of Gold War Machine and maybe even Carnage as an alternate costume for Venom.

I think the worst character in MvsC 2 (for me anyway) is Anakaris. His jumps are so slow and floaty. His move set is terrible. I know that Dan is bad, but at least I can use him very sparingly. Servbot is also bad, too, as I remember a sibling of mine would use him (for his size) just to piss me off. However, I do use Ryu for a lot of these games as he is super easy to use for me (I do prefer Akuma, though) and using him with Cyclops and Iron Man in a Team Hyper Combo will destroy my opponents.
Anakaris I don't like using either for the same reasons. I think I would rather use anybody else.
The character I hate in MvC2 is Bone-Claw Wolverine.

Anakaris is almost top tier. Go look up videos by TH-camr AnakarisCurse.
Anakaris is actually decent with the right team setup. He has a functional infinite that actually kills unlike a lot of infinites in MvC2.

Arthur needs a lot of positive changes and his throwable tools can be adjusted to help with combos. Him and Ryu both got short range with not a lot of routes to capitalize on damage. Heck when Ultimate Ghosts N Goblins came out he had a running dash and I have no idea why they don't let him run faster and not give him a dash at all. I think he's capable of being a well design character if they focus less on zoning and let his throwable tools have better utility. His series is why was put Capcom on the map to be successful and he deserves better.
Arthur and Firebrand from *Ghosts n' Goblins* franchises are both officially THE Worst *Marvel vs Capcom* Characters I've ever seen! I Absolutely hated them both SO much!

Nemesis is lethal on mvci. He has defense shields that can nullify moves against him and his moves are powerful
Ghost rider on mvci hes not bad either. His chain can heavily damage opponents especially if dome with the chain spin ultimate
Ryu: hes og on mvc amd good for beginners because of his basic moveset. And as predictable as his special may be in mvci hes able to aim it in different directions. Perfect for airborne enemies
Hsien Ko actually was good when she used her armor super

Roll sucks in the MvC series, but in Tatsunoko vs Capcom, she’s a cheap as character. 😂

If y'all ask me, I much prefer both Arthur and Firebrand from the *Ghosts n' Goblins* franchises to both as one of THE Worst *Marvel vs Capcom* Characters there is! I would DEFINITELY like to avoid both of them from *Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds & Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3* Games. I Absolutely can't stand Arthur and Firebrand as Playable Characters from those Games!

Cammy is actually way, way stronger than Ryu and Chun-Li combined in Marvel VS Capcom 2. She is very annoying to fighting against because of his speed and her annoying air combo that leads to her aerial Killer Bee Assault. And she could do it twice in a row in one combo! So she is definitely leagues ahead of Ryu in MvC2.

Servbot - he's too small so you'd have to crouch to hit him but even then, he's more annoying than bad.
Ghost Rider - Just... no. *Objectively wrong.* He has sauce, people unironically play this character. The ONLY real downgrade to him
was due to the MVCI's art style decisions and his static "Penance Stare" super (which wasn't shown for some reason). 🤨
Dan - Need I say more? A joke character and people LOVE Dan. It took me a bit of time to understand him being a parody of characters
from SNK's Art of Fighting franchise but c'mon. ALSO the Wazzler made someone ragequit fighting his Dan. Skill Issue.
Oraage Hulk - BAD TAKE. This is a *horrendous take.* He moves faster at the sacrifice of his armor BUT you get more combo opportunities
as this Hidden Character which is why people also call him "Combo Hulk." Skill Issue.
Amingo - You just attacked *EVERY* MVC2 player. Amingo essentially became a counter to one of the GOD tiers of MVC2 Magneto
if you know what you're doing cuz MAHVEL 2 is absurdly fast. Some of the cactuses he summons are mostly there to annoy but ONE of them
is unlockable and is thrown. I *cannot* stress this enough, you have to know what you're doing for this to work.
Ryu - if you're saying this about Ryu, you ought to just talk about Bone Claw Wolverine as well then. People will still play Ryu and other low tiers regardless of the odds.
Nemesis - You forget about his Level 3 in UMVC3 being a double edged sword. Regardless, people can make the most of this character.
Arthur - No. People can kick butt with Arthur. This is a bad take. VERILY bad.
Roll - no that checks out. Everyone knows this, but winning a tournament? No, however you could win a match with Roll on your team. Not saying it's impossible just not as likely
Also the Wazzler just destroys these arguments when MVC2 is on the chopping block. Can easily be invalidated.

She can be good with her assist especially armor super assist where she keeps golden armour

Hsien-Ko proved to be good for keeping all those Doom/Sentinal/Ironman teams I played online on their toes because they often didn't know how to react. Maybe I was just one of those players that proved that you can be good with a character even if achieving greatness is easier with others.

Really Ryu and Amingo are the worst? characters? I do agree that Hsien-Ko is abysmal in UMVC3 and yeah Roll is definitely a weaker copycat of her brother, but look Dan and Amingo and Servbot are meant to be joke characters what did you really expect? They are supposed to be bad, that’s the whole point. I’d argue Phoenix should’ve been on this list since she has the lowest health in the game, it takes no skill to eliminate her and yes she does have Dark Phoenix but you have to be at level 5 to trigger it after losing health, making it situational and it’s not even a powerful transformation as you are still very weak and prone to KO.

Setting aside Tier List (Only played up to MvC 2) Most of the Marvel Characters aren't fun to play mainly their super Combos have to make direct contact, as opposed to most of Capcom moves that take up most of screen and do some damage even if their blocked.

This bias list is ridiculous, Ryu doesn't belong on it at all. Who really struggles to play as him in Marvel vs Capcom?! Sure, you need to be more aggressive with him, but I'd much prefer that style over a keep away approach. Unless you enjoy seeing a bunch of slow hadoukens filling the screen, both on the ground and in the air, including tiger knee motion ones! 😆

MVCI feels like a nerfed version of MVC3 in my opinion. I played it I think after it launched it was mid and the models were ugly and shit combos and the voices were ruined and no Deadpool. One thing I would say is fuck MVCI and fuck Disney for taking out the X Men
