Aurora, Colorado - History & Information - #17/100

Today's adventure took us to Aurora, The Gateway to the Rockies! (December 3, 2022)
Aurora is best known as being Denver's largest suburb. It is Colorado's 3rd largest city by population and 2nd largest by area, but has been a bedroom community since it's planned creation in 1891. For this reason, it might be the largest city in the country without a downtown!
*I forgot to include the Chuck E Cheese shooting in 1993
My family and I are on a mission to learn about the history and geography of where we live by visiting every town within a 4 hour drive of our house. We live in Pueblo West and once per month we are going to venture out and explore the great state of Colorado, one town at a time!

I grew up in Aurora. I used to live on Mountainview Blvd and Paris St. I moved to Aurora back in 1989.

I know what you mean when you mentioned how surreal it was seeing the theater. I drove through Dealey Plaza once and I was shocked that the road was open to motorists and you could accidentally find yourself on it.
