While I understand that, the old Denver really struggled with boom-and-bust economic cycles that created real problems for real people. A lot of business and political leaders made some really good decisions back in the mid- to late 1980s, and we continue to reap the benefits of those choices -- and other good ones made, since. Our church youth camp was held in Colorado for many years near Ft Collins. A trip into Denver during the camps was a regular event until 5 years ago. On a trip to the 16th street mall we encountered a horrible experiance due to anti police activist. Dozens of these activist were at the mall yelling profanities at the police that's were patrolling the mall. Not ones of the police officers took action to stop this disturbing behavior. They just stood there. That was the last year we held our youth camp in Colorado. Our camps are now held in New Mexico on a private ranch near the Pecos Wilderness Area. We reached out to the Denver Chamber of Commerce about the experiance at the 16th street mall. They could not have cared less. This horrible behavior is still happening to this day. Ever since Colorado legalized pot the whole state is like walking into a Cheech and Chong movie from the late 70's. People high on pot every where. No thanks. We won't be back.

My favorite thing to do in Denver is wait in lines or be stuck in traffic. You can't have one without the other. Going to the mountains is great if you have all week to do it and you want to be just as crowded as you in the metro area. Seriously, if you like high prices, tons of people, horrible roads for top dollars and the influx of homeless people to a neighborhood near you... C', mon in! All of California did.....
I don't even bother going to the mountains anymore since I would need to take Thursday, Friday, and Monday off just to enjoy the weekend without spending most of it in bumper to bumper traffic for 30 miles.

67 year 4th generation native in Colorado. Great video, but have to mention how much greater Colorado was prior to the invasion from the left coast and consequential one party rule in local politics. Try to imagine on the weekends no parking lot on I70 and REAL affordable housing, combined with these great things in this video. I LOVED being called a 'goat roper living in cow town" by the same folks who moved here fleeing from their own voting habits....
@Down with Corporate Amerika Being progressive was right back in the mid 20th century. But now, democrats are NOT progressive but EXTREME. Putting illegal immigrants above our own citizens is NOT progressive. Don't confuse progressive with extreme left.

@@wesleygriffiths8496 Just personal preference, really. I've always wanted to live somewhere with access to the mountains, hiking, etc. We do have nature trails out here but they aren't very exciting, in my opinion. I've never been into the beach life, and I would like to experience seasons and see the leaves change color LOL.... I also hate the tropical thunderstorms and hurricanes. Great video, thank you. Generations of Native Americans may take umbrage to your 10:20 claim "In 1857 no one was living in the Colorado Territory." By that time there were also fur trappers and trading settlements such as Bent's Old Fort.

if you like whiskey then the Whiskey Biscuit just before Broadway and Dartmouth is really fun. Personally I would recommend spending as little time in Denver as possible. If you are coming to Colorado your time would be best spent in the mountains. St. Mary's glacier, Herman lake, sisters lookout, loch Lomond, and maxwell falls are good hikes within an hour drive of centennial. Deckers, clear creek (clear creek also has rafting), and boulder creek, are good fly fishing within a 1hour to 1.5 hour drive. If you are up for a longer drive then I would recommend visiting Frisco for some great hikes and to visit Outer Range Brewery which is in my personal opinion Colorado's best brewery.

I don't even bother going to the mountains anymore since I would need to take Thursday, Friday, and Monday off just to enjoy the weekend without spending most of it in bumper to bumper traffic for 30 miles.
I saw your video from Anna Maria Island and I felt in love!! My sister lives in Sarasota but I have never stayed there! Planing on doing it soon since you gather all the info I needed.. thanks for that!!❤️. But this is the second video I watched and I’m so happy I found you! Great information in general and the most important detail for me… you are pet friendly which is a great for a lot of people like me who loves to take our furry babies with us on vacation!!❤️❤️❤️🐶🐶🐶. Thanks for such an amazing job!!
Thankyou, that is great to hear, hope you have a great time on Anna Maria Island.
I'm thinking about moving to Denver and this video answered so many questions! Great job. I would suggest you display a map location for each neighborhood as that provides more context but overall awesome!
Thanks for the advice
Well done ...I'm proud to live here !!
I've been to Denver. Beautiful Area!
I was at Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center.
I visited Pikes Peak. Etc...
Such a great video
I love the way you highlighted Colorado, beautiful state love seeing the mountains when driving around. Great video
Thankyou for that feedback
I'm traveling to Denver next weekend and the content in this video is helping a ton!! Thank you!
it's a good time of year, hope you enjoy
very informative video. better than some other denver videos on youtube , good to have no loud music and no over acting etc.
thankyou for the nice words
Love your video...i punched the subscribe button without thinking twice. Amazing job, Colorado is my home but i have no idea of most of these places.
thankyou, great to have as a sub, think you'll love this Sundays video, very scenic
We are following you because you did a great job of showcasing Lakeland, we are in Denver right now and you did a great job showing the best of Denver!
thankyou Susan, great to hear
Awww, Bella is so sweet.
I'd love to visit Denver someday.
I go on this route everyday from work to home love my state Colorado 🧡💙
Don't confuse progressive with extreme left.
i never comment on youtube videos but omg this was so good! i've been thinking about moving to denver and you just sold me! you deserve a commission check.
Thankyou Brittany for letting us know, I'm honored.
Moved here to Denver in 1999 and your video was great, but it seemed to hit all the high touristy stuff without that locals touch. I also go to Tampa about once a year where my mom and brother live, so maybe we'll run across each other.
Excellent video! That is coming from a native! 😊😊 Outstanding quality too!
Thank you Janelle
Hoping to move to Denver in Q1 of 2023... got some grinding to do before then, but I'm so excited to visit! So ready to get the hell out of FL. Love your videos, your dog looks so happy to travel with you, lol. Adorable.
Thankyou, best of luck to you.
i'm thinking of moving to florida.. lol why are you leaving?
@@wesleygriffiths8496 Just personal preference, really. I've always wanted to live somewhere with access to the mountains, hiking, etc. We do have nature trails out here but they aren't very exciting, in my opinion. I've never been into the beach life, and I would like to experience seasons and see the leaves change color LOL.... I also hate the tropical thunderstorms and hurricanes. With housing and rent prices going up everywhere anyway, I'd rather kick out for a place where I'm actually happy to live... I'm not looking at Denver so much anymore, but good luck if you decide to come to FL!
Take me out of Fl please!!?
I love all your videos😁They are super fun and informative.Always have a better idea of an area after I watch them👍🌟
Thats great to hear Brooke, thankyou for the feedback and taking the time to let us know.
Traveling to Denver tomorrow and there is so much that I want to see and do We will be staying downtown and I'm planning on seeing the 16th street mall and the Denver Art Museum I can't wait!
I hope you are having a great time Kimia
Hello how are you doing today and happy Merry Christmas 🎄🎄🎄🎁🎁
Denver is the one of the last asylum of tranquillity.
Without "modern" contamination.
Beautiful city.
going to Denver in the summer and this video is a lovely breakdown of activities, super excited.
Hope you have a great time
Thanks for giving all that very good explained information about Denver Colorado and it's places. I'll be traveling to Denver on April for 3 days, I'll see the most I can do there, thanks for sharing all of that.
You are welcome thankyou for the feedback
We absolutely love your videos, and we love Bella so much

🤩Wow! It was amazing. I am from India. I loved Watching your vlog on Denver. What a lovely place. Wish I can visit It sometime . I have seen western movies wherein Colorado is always mentioned. It's a beautiful country side. The city too is awesome. 😊
Thankyou Ash Tai
I like your videos, man. This is professionally done. There is a plan for me to travel to this part of the US. Your videos will definitely help me with the plan. I come from Malaysia.
Thankyou for the nice words, I appreciate that.
Thanks for so much great information!
You are welcome
Golden is part of Denver and has more going for it than Lodo!!! South and North Table Mt are right by the train museum
Great video Randy! I’m looking forward to next week’s Boulder vid. 👍
Thankyou yep will be some great scenery.
Dakota Ridge is a great trail to see the foothills with Dinosaur footprints
Arrived in Denver, stayed at YMCA . . . witnessed creation of 16th Street Mall. Later moved to Capitol Hill, off East Colfax Avenue 😁
Colorados a great place to visit living here is a different story. going back to Texas next month.
What’s wrong with living there?
You guys do an excellent job with your vlogs! Great presentation!
Thankyou Eugen, I appreciate that.
You guys, This is mostly my favorite city. I know how to take care of the city more.
Great video thanks for your effort.
I'm making notes for a future trip.
You indeed capture the essence of cities and all surrounding places. Please keep more videos coming. Best wishes
Thankyou we will, our video this Sunday is going to be very scenic
Stay in the Western Suburbs Lodo too expensive and over hyped
@@TampaAerialMedia you need to do views from North and South Table and Mt Galbraith
Great video, thank you. Generations of Native Americans may take umbrage to your 10:20 claim "In 1857 no one was living in the Colorado Territory." By that time there were also fur trappers and trading settlements such as Bent's Old Fort.
I plan on moving to Denver from Dallas. I can't wait. Denver is very beautiful and I wanna see mountains
Do yourself a favor, stay in Dallas. Or move to Colorado but far from downtown. Downtown is now half a tent city and 85% tweekers stealing anything that isn’t bolted down.
@@jamesgatz5301 👈🏽 don’t listen to this buffoon.. Denver is beautiful with tons of great things to do year round. Not only Denver but Colorado as a whole. Denver isn’t considered one of the healthiest states in America for no reason..
Excellent video. You made my day.
Thats great to hear, thanks for letting us know.
Absolutely fantastic guide!
Thankyou for the nice words
Love your video my guy, keep making more guide videos of statewide ❤
Thanks! Will do!
Excellent video!!! Thumbs up! 👍🏻👍🏻
Thankyou JC
You did a beautiful job on this video! Colorado is a wonderful place to visit but expensive to live. Affordable housing is a real problem.
Thankyou Debbie
if you like whiskey then the Whiskey Biscuit just before Broadway and Dartmouth is really fun.
Great suggestions, thankyou.
Thank you, thank you!! I'm considering a move to Denver and this was extremely helpful. Awesome video!!
thankyoy, glad to help
Best Denver intro show! Love it! Good job!
Thankyoy YC
im italian, usually american different size cities looks like all the same patterns but this seem really a wonderful and original cozy place, not so ambitious also looks very clean and well managed, i would like to visit Colorado... great mountain views also, sweety open mind place to live i guess!
I'm a native of Denver since 1980.
Might I suggest feeding the Bums.
Playing a game of darts with a hypodermic needles on the ground.
Or laugh at the price of houses..
Used to be a beautiful city.
Now it's a joke. And I moved unincorporated Boulder County.
Thanks Hancock
You have the best travel guides!
Thankyou James.
Colorado is a special place for me
