When I bought my Quincy qt-54 compressor, I also bought the same brand magnetic starter. Those cheap pressure switches that come on most compressors today can't handle the 220v for very long before burning up the contacts. I put an hour meter on mine to keep up with the oil changes. I put an auto tank drain on it to keep the tank dry.
First take of video. Anyone the uses top fueled sound on an electrical to do video is my kind of people. Both will kill you quicker than shit! Lmao Thank you for the video sir
That was a recording from Rockingham NC over 30 years ago . Me and a buddy Kevin Mc ??? snuck on the track to watch and record . What a day !!! Thanks for the comment !!
The starter issue...do you think maybe could be avoided by using the recommended size wiring? 60 amp requires 6 awg wiring. 10 guage is too small. Do you think that could have been the issue? I am awaiting delivery of mine and am trying to get set up of wiring and circuit straight. Thank you for the very informative videos and reviews.
The best thing u can do ,for that unit..I have one on my 3 HP. Industrial unit and have an hour meter mounted on my magnetic starter as well

Straight forward video.Thanks
Great video!
Wiring both contact sets in parallel will divide the amps across the contacts in half and really extend the life of the contacts in any situation.
Amps do not divide. Both contacts will and must flow the same full current of amps. It's called Kirchoff's Law.

No real way to avoid putting a starter on it. It's a must or keep replacing switches.
